From the site: «The NYJL offers many rewarding volunteer opportunities. Volunteers can dedicate
their time to outreach, education and mentoring experiences in the community or
fundraising, volunteer training and development, or communications efforts, which
support the NYJL’s community impact.
NYJL volunteers address critical needs of women and young families, seek to
prevent domestic violence and assist its survivors, and provide cultural
opportunities for the city’s youth and seniors. Volunteers also support the
community initiatives in a wide range of opportunities in fundraising and
development, volunteer training and communications.
Joining the NYJL provides opportunities for volunteers to impact their community
in a meaningful way, to benefit from training in a variety of educational and

I recently joined the Junior League and have found it to be a great experience. There are many different committees to chose from and the volunteer opportunities can fit in your schedule very easily.
