Delicious and perfectly circular falafels. Healthy(kind of) option for your lunch. It really is delicious… Highly recommend!

I am so glad I decided that I wanted to have something vegetarian for lunch a few days back and tried out a falafel sandwich at Moshe’s. The falafels were SO fresh — crisp on the outside, but not overdone at all. The pickle and thick cut french fries combined to give a delicious taste. Oh and how can I forget the tahina! Cheap, quick, tasty and fresh = 5 stars. Moshe’s has definitely set the bar for falafels in the City for me!

Great falafel, very quick service. They also serve soups. Large portions, my colleague couldn’t finish! They are right by the Diamond District, with ample seating areas in surrounding buildings.

7. Star for this street food, well executed, best falafel, wait in line love it, cash only, not convenient but hey it works, and the falafel is a bite if heaven, seriously speaking you must try it when in New York

LOVETHISFALAFEL I heard from my co-workers that this was one of the best falafel carts in town, so I had to try it. I ordered a half falafel for $ 3.50 because I wasn’t starving, but the portion size was still huge! The falafel itself was very crispy and steaming hot when I got it. And the pita was stuffed with delicious hummus, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers… I chose to leave the french fries off in my attempt to have a semi-healthy lunch, but I tried one from a friend and they were so crunchy, just the way I like them. I highly recommend Moshe’s if you’re looking for a lunch that ‘s worth the wait on line and your money.

Some of the best«kosher» falafels I’ve had to date, Moshe’s seems to be taking their food truck to all parts of Manhattan. It’s been awhile since I last saw this truck at 17th and I’m sincerely hoping they’ll be around a lot more often. The allure of the falafel starts with the aroma, which for street side admirers is a real treat. A hint of chickpeas and tahini sauce is enough to make non-hungry people curious and people like me who instantly in a better mood post consumption. Each of the falafels, are a light golden brown. They’re light and deceivingly good. At $ 5 for 4 pieces, it feels a bit pricey, but they do have a pretty unique version of one of my favorite foods. The guys who run the truck are super nice. Usually cooked and operated by Hispanic guys and supervised by Rabbi Pinchas Horowitz, the food is prepped well. If you’re not having the falafel on it’s own, the falafel sandwich is another good bet. A pita that stuffed with veggies, tahini sauce, and falafel is one of life’s great(and healthy) pleasures. When Moshe’s is back in the Flatiron, is when I’ll be back. To the folks running this truck, I have one word: Twitter.

These guys are bit off the beaten path for me at work but they’re the best in the area when I get a hankering for falafel. For the uninitiated, falafel is nothing more than deep fried chickpea mixture with spices. But who are we kidding, what’s not to like about deep fried anything! Moshe’s truck manages to create these perfectly golden brown, crunch, and fluffy delights. The sandwiches are filling in of themselves and quite affordable. I hear the lines can get pretty long during the lunch hour but I always take late lunches so service is fast.

I’ve eaten at Moshe’s Falafel truck for three days in a row – I’m officially obsessed. First day I had the sandwich – delicious. The pita is nice and thick and didn’t break – it also helps that the sauce isn’t a watery mess. The hot sauce is really hot so be careful. The last 2 days I got the salad with falafel which I found to be easier to eat. It comes with piece of pita bread and they didn’t charge me for extra sauce on the side. The falafel balls are tasty & crispy, not soggy and stale like from other falafel trucks I’ve had. OH! They also top it with the most delicious, crunchtastic pickles ever. YUM.

– «I’ll have the falafel balls.» – «You want four balls?» – «Um… yes, I’d like to have four balls.» Not a conversation I ever expected or, really, even wanted to have with a dude in a truck. Wednesday is apparently food truck day on Park Avenue South, and if a schnitzel ain’t your thing, go a block north for a falafel sandwich from these guys. The falafel was light and fluffy, not too spicy, with kind of a nutty flavor. I ordered the plate of four falafel balls, served with little gherkin pickles and two kinds of sauce: an uninspiring(and not too) hot sauce and tahini. Having tried them both, I can now say that I prefer to dip my balls in tahini. All four of them.

The whole falafel is a giant, tasty mess of fried hummus goodness. Falafel balls were done just right. Hot sauce wasn’t as hot as I expected. The pickles were nice touch. I will go back, but next time will get the half pita.

I was running back to work after an appointment when I came across Moshe’s. Since I was on my lunch break, I figured it made sense to grab something quick to eat. The irony is, I didn’t get a falafel since I wanted to eat light that day. Instead, I snagged a white tuna on pita with salad. I found $ 6.50 a tad steep for this kind of sandwich but I was in a rush so I shrugged it off in true NYC fashion. When I got back to my office, I unwrapped the pita and saw that this thing was *gigantic*. Easily about twice the size of what I would have gotten at a nearby deli. I dug inside of it and found they had layered the tuna on thick with a ton of veggies and three pickles to boot! Everything tasted super fresh, and the tuna didn’t taste like it had been sitting out for hours and hours. The pickles were sweet and light. Overall, this was one delicious(and super filling) pita sammich! Service was quick and with a smile. The crew works effortlessly inside the truck. It amazes me how quickly the move back and forth without crashing into each other or some piece of equipment. I hope to run into this truck again one day and try some of their other offerings — maybe even the fried falafel!

the aroma of crispy falafel wafts through the air around moshe’s and you’re drawn to it like a hungry moth to a delicious delicious flame. after work they’re right outside the BBB on 6th between 18th&19th. for lunch they’re at 27th& park. the falafel… are so crispy… soooo tasty, they’re like crunchy little balls of heaven. the tahini is thick, the hot sauce, uh, hot, and the pickles… sigh. i’m dizzy from the high i just got inhaling one… it’s a good thing they’re across town from where i work otherwise i’d be there every day for breakfast lunch & dinner. and the old dude and the not as old dude who always man the cart are really just the nicest most pleasant people. going back for seconds.

3.50 for a half falafel with 4 falafel balls in it. Its pretty filling. What I like about the falafel balls is that they were the lightest, crunchiest falafel balls I’ve ever had. It was interesting to put a pickle on it and he lovingly assembled the whole thing too. Extra tahini would be good if you do order btw. =) What I found to be a bit off was that the veggie was only lettuce(no tomato, onion or cucumber) and it leaned more on the salty side. But generally, the guy gives pretty good portions for all his food for pretty good prices, which is always a good thing.

This cart appears magically in Chelsea box-store-haven on Sundays. I was dying of hunger and my husband and I each got a whole falafel sandwich with extra hot sauce and tahini. The falafel balls were perfectly cooked and huge and the sandwich was a messy ball of yumminess. Does make you think that they are setting you up for a joke… so a rabbi and a latino are running a falafel stand…

Moshe’s is still top notch. I finally tasted their soup, specifically the vegetarian split pea soup. Man. it was delicious. Very well spiced and delicious. The soup was very big for 3.75, 16 delicious ounces.

I ordered half a falafel, which already made me feel full. They put pickles on it and hot sauce if you want. This is a really cheap and healthy lunch. Get this and skip the salad bars once in a while.
