Reviewing delivery: ordered red curry which took a while to arrive. However the reason for the bad review was the ridiculously small portion of rice which accompanied this. Rice came in a container about an inch deep, when we called they said that’s just how big their portions are. Curry itself was average. Overpriced. Would not order again.

Friends and i were craving sushi tonight and coincidently passed by this place, sat there, the music was good(they played top 40). Had few starters with Miso Black Cod, Rock Shrimp Tempura and a friend took Spicy Tuna Gyoza, they were great apps and the Rock Shrimp Tempura really rocks ! It is spicy, tangy and sweet in the same time. Had sashimi, toro is good and fatty melts in your mouth, their uni, salmon, tuna, fluke, yellow tail are very fresh. Sushi rice is perfectly vinegared match with the fish. We also ordered some rolls, Pink, Crazy Toro, Perfect Naruto are top notch ! And few bottles of their sake made us leave the place happy, full and satisfied, see you next time when we dropped by the hood Mizu !

What a BAD experience. They refused to allow us to order off of the menu(anything in addition to our groupon) even though I asked before I allowed them to redeem our groupon. I asked to speak to a manager and was told they have no managers/supervisors and in addition the rude and angry waiter refused to give me his name. Do NOT go here! After this terrible service I realized why this place was empty. Bad service/Argumentative waiters. In a city this large you don’t need to put up with their nasty attitudes. There are plenty of sushi spots in the city, don’t waste your time with this place. This experiment with Mizu was disappointing and irritating at best.

We found a Groupon and decided we’d give Mizu a try. The place is cute and I thought a nice place to hang out. We got 2 rolls, a appetizer &2 wines for the deal. The rolls were ok, the kama collar was a great value for what we paid as the portion was very generous, but it wasn’t the best we’ve had. Overall 3 stars for food, 4 stars for customer service. And the wine pours were very generous. Not the best wine but not bad either. I’d go back though my companions wasn’t very impressed with the food, we all agreed that the place was very nice and the service was really good.

The first time I ordered a teriyaki tofu lunch box. Then when I opened it in the office, I couldn’t find any tofu in it, instead a large piece of chicken breast. Then second time I ordered red curry shrimp with rice. Besides some shrimps, vege, and whatever should be in this dish, I found a lot of chicken breast in it as well. The third time I just ordered salmon sushi. Thanks god there is no chicken breast wrapped in the roll! I almost cried.

I came here on a groupon and everything was perfect for the price. Super nice staff, awesome shrimp appetizer and a super fresh white tuna roll.

Would have put 5 stars for food and service if it wasn’t for my experience today. I sat down and ordered lunch while receiving an onslaught of text message orders from my coworkers after hearing that there was a Happy Hour special for $ 4 rolls. After ordering maybe six rolls to go and one for myself, I get the check. To my surprise, everything was full-price, despite the sign outside. I was told this is because I’m ordering«delivery»(despite it not being delivery at all). I ask how that’s the case, since I am in fact sitting down in the restaurant, ordering food from the happy hour special during happy hour. I’m told it doesn’t matter; anything to-go is full price. Needless to say, after a $ 70 tab, I was pissed. I should have been told this well before ordering so many rolls. Furthermore, it should be made clear on their happy hour sign.

I’ve gotten a few Bento Boxes for pickup from here which, to be fair, are always tasty. I usually get the chicken teriyaki. Unfortunately, the last time I ate here I had pretty bad food poisoning immediately following. Don’t think I’ll be eating here again even though I did have good experiences in the past. Hopefully it was a one time occurrence.

I come here often since I work near by and their eel avocado never disappoints me. I totally recommend it! I always order the lunch special rolls and get the eel avocado here because the eel portion is more than other sushi places I’ve went to(where sometimes I can only see avocado with hardly any eel). Their service is usually pretty quick as well and I get seated as soon as I come in even during rush hour.

This review is for delivery: had to order dinner while staying overtime one evening. Appreciate that our order was taken quickly and delivery was prompt. The menu was a mix of Thai and Japanese dishes. Obviously with dual cuisine establishments like this, you’re frequently better off with the non-sushi half. Gave it a blind buy and ordered chicken pad thai, spicy tuna crunch, avocado and Philadelphia sushi rolls for a little over $ 27 without tip. It goes without saying, that the pad thai portion was the better half. Sushi was passable but not worth $ 16. Best stick to Thai food at Mizu.

My boyfriend and I like to come here for the groupon deal. This place is pretty close to our apartment and the sushi is decent. If you add in the groupon deal it’s a great price. I would highly recommend the rock shrimp or coconut shrimp. Probably the two best appetizers on the menus. The tofu is also delicious. With respect to the signature rolls, I’d recommend you stay away from anything with jalapeño. They used to have a fresh slice of jalapeño on top of their rolls, but they recently switched to pickled jalapeño which completely dominates the taste of the sushi.

Okay Place. Nothing fancy. Kani Salad was the highlight of the meal. Sushi was okay. Served on a white plate. Nothing fancy, I will not go out of my way for this. Service was okay. The waiter decided to have a meal while we were finishing up and had to wait for him to finish eating to get our check.

We like coming to this place, good service, never too crowded, they play top 40 music in the background, and the food is reasonably priced and fairly good. Mizu Roll: Solid choice, although could have been a bit fresher… Eel was a little dry Red Dragon: very nice implementation of a dragon roll American Dream: Interesting and delightful, a lot going on but comes together nicely Avatar Roll: Excellent, the black tuna topper was very nice Madagascar: Solid roll but the pickled jalapeño dominates a bit too much… Would be better if it used fresh jalapeño Godzilla Roll: Ok if your a big fan of jalapeño, it dominated the roll Rock Shrimp Tempura: Saucy, but crispy and delicious Coconut Shrimp: Nice combo of flavors, crispy with a dipping sauce Calamari: Pretty good Generally speaking, the appetizers that we’ve tried have all been pretty good.

I was craving sushi and just randomly picked a restaurant and went in with not so high hopes. We were surprised by the quality of food. Sushi was excellent, appetizers were delicious, and staff were very friendly. Would definitely pay another visit.

Ehhhhh. Had lunch here the other day and honestly it was nothing to rave about. Average I guess. My friend found a bone in her salmon roll… Tsk tsk. Probably wouldn’t want to give it a try again.

We came in really late after a movie, so I am really happy that they even took us in. We asked for tea coz it was just really cold outside and they obliged. A friend got the spicy tuna roll and a veggie roll which were both excellent. We ordered the red curry, miso fried rice and the pad Thai, all of which were solid. The food is very well priced. The chicken in the red curry was over cooked so they immediately took it back and didn’t charge us for it, which was classy. They seem to have really sweet lunch deals, would love to try it sometime. If Unilocal allowed 3.5 stars, this place would get it.

Mizu is one of my favorite take-out spots for a light lunch. I like their lunch special that comes with 8 – 10 pieces of sushi and your choice of soup or salad. It goes for about $ 9. The sushi is good. I love the dressing that comes with the salad, I think it’s ginger or sesame. I recommend calling ahead to order, otherwise expect to wait about 8 – 10 minutes. The little bench up front is tiny and right next to the door, so it’s a tight squeeze if more than 1 person is waiting. I’ve never dined in the restaurant, but it’s often buzzing with patrons during the lunch hour.

Used a groupon and they really delivered. Allowed $ 12 max on apps, and $ 15 max on rolls. Good deal only if you order max priced items. But that aside the food was amazing and service was great. We will definitely be back!!!

Good service here! I love the strawberry margarita. It’s absolutely a must-try. The teriyaki salmon was cooked to perfection! Everything else tasted pretty comparable to other sushi places, except I will argue they do take time in their display of sushi. At night they dim the lights and put on colored lights, giving it more of a party feel. They play pop songs and it’s great :) The only thing that might be concerning to some people about this place is the noise level. This is not a quiet place to sit and converse but there are some rowdy people here. I don’t mind, but a quiet place to sit and eat… This may not be the place for you.
