One of the most interesting locales in the city. Very fun and edgy. Can be a little tight but the décor and experience makes it a must try eve once

I have heard wonderful things about Mister H, so when it came to my birthday I decided I needed to somehow get in here. I went through birthday and bottles to ‘host’ a birthday party for me. I didn’t do bottle service so I can’t give any feedback on that, but I will say the bartenders were amazing. They gave me about 4 free shots and a hugeee mixed drink, they also gave me one of those sparklers which made me feel right at home with all the tables. I would say the only thing that could have been better is the time frame on when my friends and I had to be there. I was told we had to be there at 11. we got there at 11:15ish and the place was dead… for at least an hour! I then was told after my event that we could have gone later… oh well! I will remember for next time. Other then that, it was great!

Fun place, but on the small side so it could get kind of crowded.

«She’s 516. She might dress like she’s 718 and act like she’s 212, but trust me she’s 516.» Pretty much sums this place up.

Went here for a Halloween party. As a club, it wasn’t bad at all. I would have given it 4 stars if not for the horrendous bathroom situation. The place was not super packed, but it still took half an hr to get to the bathroom because the line was constantly long, there were only 2 rooms, and people standing around the coat check line were cutting into the bathroom line. If I’m going out for 2 – 3 hours, I really don’t want to be in line for the bathroom for half the time. It was really that bad.

I have to say the layout of the floor is very unsual. It looks like it was once a dive bar turned lounge. It was not hard getting in as I had quite a few girls with me and 1 other guy so we were able to get in as soon as we got there so cheers to the bouncer for hooking it up. Bartenders were really cool. Very engaging with the crowd In terms of dancing and taking photos for patrons. This place has a pretty good vibe and I was pretty shocked because the crowd looked weird. It’s just a weird mix of people(in a good way). The DJ was sort of all over the place. Played a set of nothing but 90s rap songs then switched to edm. I prefer staying with one genre of music but that’s me. I’d definitely come back(with a lot of girls) ;)

We booked this place through Birthdays and Bottles and I worked with Josh to get the party ready. He was super easy to work with, helped us to get deals with Mister H and was prompt in responding. The party was amazing. Everything went smoothly, we did not have problems at the door, except they tried to cap it at 20 people, when we had said we had 20 to 30 people coming, but the bouncer was nice and changed it immediately. We were also unaware that we could only choose between 1 free bottle of Vodka or Prosecco. They initially had said 1 free bottle. The table, service and music was great that night. We had enough space to dance and people could still talk to each other. Definitely recommend if you want to have a fun time with your friends without it being super crowded and loud.

Came here for a networking event. Two vodka sodas & a botched shot for $ 50. I get it, it’s the location or… whatever, but my God. This place was a run of the mill lounge with that stupid prostitute sign. It was a Wednesday and after 11 the music got REALLY good. I would totally go on a Wednesday if you like rap/hip hop.

Its like being back in Hong Kong in some upscale lounge. Little Chinese street lamps lined the walls that had a huge red lighted up sign that read(translated to English): Love to be drunk. Part of the lounge had Alice in Wonderland like paintings — a rabbit running away and I really wish I could follow that Rabbit to Wonderland. The bathrooms are nice. There are only 2, so there WILL be a line. We all know that all girls go to bathrooms in groups and of course I did that. The only problem was that the perverted dude who works at the toilet(hands out paper towels) or maybe it was some random drunk guest opened the door while we were inside. I leapt to the door and slammed it shut! Drinks were good here, it didn’t taste shitty like drinks at most clubs. The music was honestly blah, and that was the reason I left.

I came here for an event and really enjoyed the fun décor. It’s very… The Matrix meets Chinatown. I asked the ENTIRE staff how to get here. Here’s the easier answer: enter on Lafayette and don’t enter the hotel. It’s a separate door. The bathroom is splendid. Cool DJs(playing top 40).

Aside from the eye-catching red«brothel» sign and the interesting, scantily clad dancing ladies who start their routine at midnight, this night club is one to avoid. The space is small, lacks personality(the Asian theme kinda falls flat and doesn’t make sense), and there is only one poorly located bar(leading to crowd congestion and spill-over into«reserved» areas. The bartenders were pushy, slightly overwhelmed, and sloppy — it’s hard to mess up a whiskey and ginger ale… twice, but they succeeded. They also outright asked for tips and dawdled, looking at me like I was an idiot — this is appalling enough, but there was already an included tip with any tab. Of note, most of the other bar patrons were complaining about the service the entire night. The music started strong, playing mostly unmixed top 40s from the past 5 years, but then after midnight, the DJ played only rare techno/house tracks that weren’t exactly dance-able(and I like electronic music). My wife and I got in free with a party, but the idea of paying a cover charge to come here is laugh-able. I guess if you’re a desperate single guy with a bunch of cash to sling around, you could maybe utilize this place, as the girl: guy ratio was quite favorable. Even then, there are better options in the city.

Happy hour /networking event review: Note that the entrance to Mister H. is not within the Mondrian SoHo, but rather, a few dozen steps up the street. The venue itself is very loud and a bit on the warm side. Not a space particularly catered towards networking. Substantial leaning/huddling is required. The gin and tonic my friend had as part of an open bar deal was a bit on the light side. The room was large enough to accommodate the crowd of maybe 100 or so attendees but every area wound up feeling bottlenecked.

DON’T“T GOHERE! $ 25GUYS/$ 5GIRLS at door, WTF right!!! I didn’t want to believe the bad reviews, but it’s true. I came here on a concierge event about 5 months ago and we were well taken care of so I thought I would give it a second chance. I came here on a Thursday night, it hit 11pm(when they open) and I was the first one at the club with my PROMOTER and my girlfriend. They asked my for $ 20 bucks, I was in shock!!! I mean do they want to make money off us or they worrying about nickel and dimming people. Already disappointed. I decided to just chill out and enjoy the night since it was my brother’s birthday. They meet me and my promoter outside at 12:30am. Let me remind you that the place wasn’t even half full and they’re was no line outside. The bouncer asked $ 25 for the guys and $ 5 for the girls. I mean that is straight up CLASS-LESS.Forget raising the price to $ 25 for guys, how dare would they ask for $ 5 from a girl. I rather you ask $ 25 for the girls. How you going worry about making a few bucks on a night then a good experience for the guests. We paid, because I didn’t want to mess up my brother’s birthday. But then I noticed the place was emptied out at 2am and the bar was empty. I own my own food business and I don’t business model Mister H is running, but it ain’t working and they should start focusing on the guest and not worrying about chump change from girls. The doorman with the glass was damn rude and money hungry with dollar bills on his left hand. NOTRECOMMENDING anyone to go here and definitely not going back when the promoter calls.

It was alright. Came here on Halloween. The crowd is a little bit shady, but nothing too bad if you just leave them alone. The one bathroom they had was huge, but it really made me wonder why they just didn’t split it into two stalls. That bothered me a bit, but it wasn’t too bad. The club itself is pretty small, a little crowded. They had a great dancer to really light up the mood(literally, with lights, haha). Wouldn’t really come here again, just because of how small it really was and I just wasn’t feeling the crowd. I feel like a lot of tourists from the Hotel come in, so maybe that’s why? I’m not sure.

I’m not sure what Mister H. is going for, but I don’t really like it. I showed up at Mr. H at around 11:45PM with 2 friends. When we got there, we encountered a growing and exceedingly well-dressed crowd outside arguing with the bouncer to get in. Things were pretty heated — the demeanor of the crowd seemed a lot like an angry bread line fighting during post-WW1 German hyperinflation. Taking a different approach of not rushing the front provoking an angry rebuke, we decided to casually move through the line and treat the staff with respect and without pretense. Novel approach, I know. Eventually we got to the front. Unfortunately we learn that there’s no easy way in and that you need to «have a reservation» to get past the gates. I got the name from a friend of mine of someone inside, and was able to talk our group in given that we had a girl and that I would definitely buy drinks. I was excited to get in given that the club seemed to be exclusive and in high demand. I was pretty let down. The club inside feels less like a fun lounge and more like a dive bar that’s trying to pretend it works at Goldman Sachs. It’s small and cramped, even for NYC standards. The crowd? Wack ratio and filled with sketchy fake bankers and other dubious dudes. My favorite moment was when a set of gentlemen(clearly rolled out or similar) spent their time shouting a conversation about how they went to «collect» some guy’s failed payment to a bookie. The fact that they only had one bathroom was also a huge let down, and something that could have been easily fixed by allowing people to access the bathroom at the hotel lobby just outside the southernmost door. Suffice to say, none of this was worth 30min+ in line. To their merit, the 90’s hip hop music they were jamming was pretty on point. Their drinks were also pretty decent too, but at nearly $ 17 a cocktail I was a little put off. I don’t mind dropping almost $ 20 a drink at a great cocktail bar or a Vegas club that’s worth it. Mr. H was neither Bourbon and Branch nor XS, so I found their prices fairly frowntown. Maybe this is the West Coast in me, but overly pretentious lines to get into what’s basically a dive bar is something I find that’s both assinine and unnecessary. You’re not Marquee. You’re not 1OAK. You’re not Circle. Just stop it guys. Stop it.

Came here to celebrate my birthday party on a Saturday night and the club did not disappoint. It’s beautifully decorated and has an awesome sign(photo op) when you walk in. The club doesn’t open until 11pm, but then again that just means a party that goes further into the night and there’s nothing wrong with that. The service there was excellent as my waitress, Ally(I believe that’s how her name is spelled), was very accommodating to me. When we ordered shots at the bar she brought them over, when I asked for my bottles she brought them right away. Best of all, about half way through my party, she even danced with me for a few minutes! The club isn’t huge as it probably fits 100+ and at about 1am it was completely crowded where there wasn’t much walking space. However, I guess that’s a sign of a good club. Although, I’d prefer a place with a few less people so that you don’t go bumping into everyone on the way to the bar. Now as I said in the opening, the club didn’t disappoint, but the DJ did. Unfortunately, they had switched DJs about 3 hours into the party and well all the music turned into techno. All of my guests wanted to dance to hip-hop and even everyone else at the club. All of the dancing instantly stopped inside and the dance floor was completely dead when the new DJ came on. Multiple people, including from my party, asked if she could switch it up, but she refused to which really infuriated us. We stayed for another hour before bolting. I expressed my entire party’s disappointment in the DJ and they even agreed, but did not about it. They offered me a free bottle next time by giving me a business card and I’ll see if they were being truthful about. It’s a nice, classy club. It had a great dance floor, atmosphere and great service. The music didn’t live up to what I was informed of by a promoter, but I chalked it up to just this one night as this place really had potential.

Extremely disappointed in this place. Your«too cool to put a sign outside/speakeasy/lounge» built into the Mondrian Hotel in SoHo. I anticipate a tough door guy at a spot like this. Expect it and understand it even. As much as people hate being judged at the door, that’s part of what the nightlife scene is. If you don’t like it, go to a bar. Came here for some after dinner drinks with my girl. Obviously a well dressed couple has very little trouble getting in. And the door guy was actually very friendly. As opposed to many other reviews, the door guy is not where they lose their star rating. They lose their star rating because apparently they let ANYONE into this place as long as they are willing to spend money. Bottle service tables were full of cornball unattractive messes. Usually you come to a spot like this and you see fashionable guys and hot trendy girls. What I saw was a bunch of sloppy losers. No party vibe whatsoever. The music was good, but no one had any rhythm and no one knew how to dance. When black comedians stereotype and make fun of white people who can’t dance, THESE are the white people they are talking about. Horrible. They lose their star rating because they had one of the WORST bartenders I have ever encountered behind the bar. This girl was holding her own drink, straw in her mouth, rapping, hopping around and ignoring customers. I think she was drunk. And she was a slob. No professionalism. So bad that my girl wanted to leave without giving the place a cent. I opted to stay for one drink, which i slugged down quickly because the crowd was painful, almost comical to watch. Maybe we came on an off night… Maybe the cool people come on a Tuesday… All I know is that the crowd was one of the least fun, least cool, least attractive groups of people I have ever seen. If you wanna be an exclusive trendy spot with a tough door, don’t sell out and let everyone in as long as they have a credit card. That’s greedy and stupid and ruins your party. If you’re not getting the crowd you desire, get better promoters.

Pound for pound, I’m not sure you will find a nicer looking space in NYC. Boom Boom Room is nice as far as club/lounges go, but Mr. H just looks sooooo good inside. All RED, and black, the décor is splendid. The feel is old school and I’ve never had a bad time here, because they always have good DJs and such. people are saying they didn’t like the sound system… I guess that’s a fair complaint. Next time I’m there I will give it a listen and see what’s up, as far as now goes though, if you’re looking for a place to take someone to impress them with NYC nightlife, I think this is a great suggestion…

I came here with a group of friends on a Saturday night — friend of a friend was having a party or something. Although the door is a bit tough, the policy is not ridiculous — hey, I got in so how tough could it be? The décor was really interesting. It was sort of dark and the space had high ceilings and there was a dancer on a pole etc, but it still felt intimate and not over the top. It was crowded, but it was still easy to move around. The bar staff was very friendly and turned around drinks quickly — no attitude at all. The music was excellent — lots of house, but hip-hop and other stuff mixed in as well. It was loud, but we could still talk. There were a lot of people dancing and everyone seemed to be having an excellent time — the vibe was excellent. I highly recommend Mister H. I know I am looking forward to my next visit.

Simply put, this place sucks. It’s NY, ONTOTHENEXT. My girlfriend and I went on a Thursday night around 1AM and it was fairly slow. As guests of the hotel, The Mondrian, we figured let’s check it out. The door man asked if we were on a list, even though nobody was outside and it was half empty inside. We told him, no, we are guests of the hotel and just want to check it out.(Trust me, we dress the part). He reluctantly let us in after seeing our room key. Once we got in, there was a lame-No-Name, wanna-be hipster rap star having his album release party. Nobody was dancing. Since when are all my black brothers too cool to dance? Since they walked in Mister H. But hey, the décor is sweet, so we ordered drinks. 2 vodka sodas and 2 shots of patron. The shots were fine, the drinks were weak, and the bill was a joke. $ 73, which included a mandatory tip for a crappy bartender.(See the receipt pic I uploaded). Do yourself a favor: it’s NY, if you have the $, you may as well spend it somewhere fun; ONTOTHENEXT!
