It is a really cute boutique with lots of unique items imported from Japan. Although I really like structure of clothes, texture was disappointing relative to price.

One of my favorites in the LES. Bought a awesome Japanese bag here and they have a great selection. Affordable too!

This funny little boutique in my old neighborhood is super awesome. The clothes are affordable and adorable. I dropped a bunch of money at once here, because I was so happy to find a place that actually had extremely cute, work appropriate stuff! It makes me happy that I can wear the clothes at night. The lines in the clothing are ahead of the curve and not super trendy, so it won’t expire tomorrow. Bonus: the designer oftentimes tends the store. When I told her I was taking a sewing class, she got all excited and gushed that I have to show her what I made. Also, perhaps I could sell stuff in the store! How awesomely sweet is she?

I know, I know, I’m unemployed– the last thing I should be doing is shopping!(BTW, I prefer to call myself a lady of leisure rather than unemployed– it’s so much more civilized.) But for a week, I kept passing by the store while on my daily run, and the sweet dress hanging in the window kept calling out to me and finally I could no longer resist! What I love about this store is that unlike most of the boutiques down here(like the pixie joint next door) their clothes actually fit real women! I went in on my way home from my run to check the price and asked what size the dress in the window was– the lovely shopgirl told me it was a medium. Still not sure it would fit, I told her I’d be back after my shower. A couple hours later I returned and the dress was no longer in the window– she had pulled it down for me so I could try it on! What service! And lo and behold, it fit! How could I not buy the dress when the stars aligned like that for me? And it wasn’t all that expensive– so I’ll go without cocktails for a week or so…

Rejoice, for this is one of the few Lower East Side boutiques that is actually affordable! It’s sort of unassuming-looking on the outside, but venture into its underdecorated environs and it’s quite likely you’ll find something new and lovely, possibly even on sale. I love their fashiony take on preppy style, your classic midtown-day to downtown-evening. I scored a $ 43 pinstriped mini with cute buttons and pleating(in the butt! shouldn’t work but does) and a voluminous khaki skirt for $ 59, both on sale. They also have cool, unusual sweatshirts, plus a good deal more conservative fare. A rare and wondrous find, both the skirts and the store.
