Medspa 44

Awful experience with my first Botox injections. I wish I knew the name of the nurse who did it, but she was blonde with a thick accent– Extremely rude and pushy. I wanted to try botox out first before spending more money to see what kind of results I would get. She basically told me I would need a lot more units. I understood that but just wanted to try a little bit first. She told me I wouldn’t like it and that she was doing me a disservice only injecting 20 units. She made me feel very uncomfortable as she was arguing with me about what I wanted. I wasn’t trying to go for the frozen face look! Meanwhile holding a needle while arguing with me. Will not be going back. And actually did see some results with 20 units! So I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I came here for the third time for fraxel. I bought 2 fraxels on groupon (think it was 250dollars back then) and now I paid 300, just before the price was raised again recently.
Each fraxel brought me wonderful results for enlarged pores and some scars. I had 5 – 6 fraxels at Bellhair laser and I spent more than 3000 dollars for nothing. I don’t think they are using a good fraxel laser equipment. I was ripped off. But here I see visible results each time. After fraxel treatment, your skin will likely to break out with lot of acnes and this is considered normal (according to my dermatologist and friends who had fraxel before). This happens due to collagen production that is triggered by the laser. So don’t panic and just see a dermatologist for after treatment bc you would need a prescribed medication to balance out your skin.

Denise & Carmen are the best. I came in with a living social deal and the experience was AMAZING. I got a fraxel session. Seriously, for a minute I hated Carmen after waking up the very next day… :) Oh man, day after was crusty and puffy (?) :) No pain no gain :) Carmen obviously did an amazing job on the questionable parts of my face (acne scars)…Procedure can get painful but they apply a numbing cream & Carmen is super helpful during the treatment. 3 days later my skin is tight and looks waaaaay better than when I came in (there are some red spots but looking to disappear). I actually dont need to apply foundation now!!! I really recommend taking a day off after the treatment. I am looking forward toward my next visit !!! I love you girls you do magic :)

For the first time in my life, I broke out with acne. It was pretty bad for a couple of months and then it started healing a bit over the Summer. I decided to clear up the remaining scars by trying the Fraxel Restore Treatment at Medspa 44. I was told that I had to go through a consultation first, so I booked an appointment.
Unfortunately, I received no consultation. Denise and Carmen told me that I would just jump right in to the procedure (how unprofessional). That worried me a little because my skin is sensitive.
Days after the procedure, I didn’t see that much of a difference, but sometimes more than 1 treatment is necessary to clear scars. However, 1 week later, I broke out terribly. I never had that much acne on my face in my life. It spread to my chin; my cheeks had dozens of bumps on it. I e-​mailed the company and told them my problem. They told me to use gentle acne wash. I listened but my skin just kept getting worse. Without even picking on the acne, I realized I had significantly more scars.
I e-​mailed them again and they told me that sometimes after fraxel, people break out. They recommended me to try more fraxel treatments, which I found to be ridiculous. I understand that more than one treatment can be effective, provided that your skin doesn’t get significantly worse after the first one. I definitely will not try this procedure again. I can’t even tell if they actually cared about my skin considering I received no consultation and they were convincing me to try the same treatment that ruined my complexion.
Fraxel in Medspa 44 might work for others, but it definitely did not work for me. This experience was beyond disappointing.

Visited Med Spa 44 for Botox and Juvederm. I was nervous because it was my first time every getting anything done to my face. I heard horror stories of it going wrong. I didn’t want to leave looking like Kylie Jenner. Lol The staff was great. Alla was the one giving the injections. She was so sweet and knowledgeable. Walked me through every step before doing anything. I got Botox in my forehead for the lines, and Juvederm in my cheeks and lips. I am so in love with my new lips. The change isn’t dramatic but definitely noticeable. I keep getting told I look refreshed and younger. Would definitely go back and refer friends.

I’ve had several fraxel procedures done and I’m a happy customer!
The staff is always sweet and professional. Such a treat to have lovely people able to assist me and answer my questions.
The procedure has made a difference in my completion. I have this glow I didn’t have before.

I had 4 sessions of Fraxel Restore and IPL with Carmen. Each session she was very thorough and took her time to ensure the best results. I highly recommend her!

It’s been three months now and I do believe I am seeing improvement in my chin and neck area from the il Ultherapy Carmen performed. I took some photos before and after and I see improvement but I can’t wait to go back to New York and see her before pictures to compare for sure.

Absolutely my favorite medical spa in Manhattan! The front desk girl is super nice and helpful not to mention that the doctor is professional and provides attentive services. I could give it 10 stars if I could. Best for sure!

I did not mind traveling here to get my microdermabrasion. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The aesthetician was also very welcoming and knowledgeable. She made me feel very comfortable and also added a free of charge light peel to enhance my procedure. I would definitely come back to try the fraxel.

So far I’ve been there twice and both times the staff has been welcoming and ultra-​accommodating. Carmen is my esthetician for laser hair removal, and she is GREAT. They offer many other services, since they’re a medical spa. highly recommended!

Horrendous customer service. I had a force major situation that prevented me from keeping my prepaid appointment I was waiting for a month. I’ve offered the prove of that, but they couldn’t care less. The receptionist was rude and condescending. I don’t care ow great their professional services are if their customer service is non-​existent. There is a lot of competition in this town, and no need to deal with someone who doesn’t want your business but only cares for a short-​term ripping.

They are so nice over here. Very impressed with how friendly both the women are who run this place. Overly nice. Can’t stress this enough. I’m about 4 treatments into my underarms and still have growth but hopeful the results will improve as I hit 6.

Can’t say enough nice things about this place! Lovely staff, painless botox with zero bruising, and was able to book me in for a last minute appointment before my vacation. I will for sure be back!

Came here on August 21 for Brazilian laser session.
Before going in:
I was about to purchase a lifebooker for $ 35 yet when I called, the receptionist informed me that I did not need to buy the coupon and that they would do the Brazilian laser for $ 35.
They take down your credit card information in case you don’t cancel within 24 hours. I understand why they do it but I don’t like it and none of the other laser places I’ve been to have this policy.
Atmosphere: The place is nice and neat.
Service: I got there 10 minutes before my appointment started and there was no one at the receptionist area. I called out «hello» a couple of times and no one responded. So I stood there for about 7 minutes until the receptionist finally came out. She indicated she was having a quick lunch and was extremely apologetic so my annoyance quickly fizzled.
I was introduced to the Carmen who was going to do my laser. She was friendly and kept asking me if I was ok throughout the process.
With the exception of a few occasions, the laser was barely painful. The process was finished in less than 10 minutes. While I started to get dresses Carmen gave me a brochure of some procedure that kills fat cells in case I was interested on it. I was a little offended; shouldn’t she wait till I ask about such procedure before telling me to read the brochure? I know I don’t have perfect body but I felt she was insinuating I was fat.
Anyhow, I proceed to pay my $ 35 when the receptionist indicates that the $ 35 only covers the front and that since Carmen also did my back, that it would be another $ 35. I’ve got Brazilian waxes for 5 years and have been getting Brazilian laser for almost 2 years now, and never has a Brazilian just covered the front. The lifebooker indicated «Brazilian» not half a Brazilian and I have gotten two lifebooker coupons for two different laser place and they always did front and back. I was so disappointed and did not feel like arguing with liers therefore I paid the money. The results weren’t even great, and before the business replies and it says it takes at least 6 sessions to get results, I have been getting laser for a while and this was just a touch up.
Unless you can afford $ 200 per session, do not go here.

I came here for laser hair removal and genesis laser. Carmen was very knowledgable and friendly. She explained each and every procedure and tried to minimize pain (these laser hurts sometimes. Ouch!) Denise at the desk is also amazing and sweet. I have few more sessions to go so I will get back with the result.

I highly recommend MedSpa 44.
Each employee was kind and professional, and my esthetician, Carmen was exceptional! She was very knowledgable and patient with me as it was my first time with laser hair removal. She was also willing to negotiate prices as I am a full time student.

I went to MedSpa 44 and had the best experience ever. Everyone there was so friendly. And my treatment was great. I had a microdermabrasion and hair removal I lover this place!!! I recommend this places to everyone looking to have medical spa services. My esthetician (Carmen)
