I have passed by this place several times and finally i said ENOUGH!, I am going to try this place. Not sure what it was about but the gentleman gave a brief tutorial on the menu items and how to order. It’s a walk-up window. So I decided to get 2 meatballs, after all who eats just 1 meatball? I tried the turkey and pork sausage. Wish I had gotten them in separate containers as I liked 1 better than the other and I can’t really tell which was which. They are decent size meatballs which is prob enough for me to eat for lunch/dinner but for the average joe, it can prob be a snack. I would not say these are the best meatballs I’ve eaten. The texture is not what I typically like. It tasted manufactured vs homemade/hand-rolled. The meatballs came with tomato based sauce and I choose the veggie accompaniment. They had pasta options as well but I didn’t feel like getting carbs. There is a small table outside the window area where I assume you can stand and eat but I chose to eat my meal at home. Overall, I am glad I tried it because I always wondered what the hoopla was about. Not sure if I would return tho

Came here for a quick small lunch and it definitely was quick. Plua side it was super cheap. I got the single meatball with gnocchi and it was a good small snack /lunch. Its literally a small window off 14th street by the path and i wasnt dissatisfied. I was actually impressed on how decent it was

Right next to the Path entrance. Meatball Obsession is worth the stop. Delicious food, very reasonably priced, the workers are extremely friendly. This is a MUST!

First of all I had to wait 25 min for a meatball«sub». In NYC they’re called heroes. Second I can get a much better meatball hero at most any pizza joint. Cheese seemed overly processed. Nothing special about this place at all. There’s nothing worse than a gentrified meatball. Terrible!

The meatball just isn’t very good. I think the main problems is the texture, with is just too thick, almost like cement. There’s no space for the juice of the meat to flow in and out, or for the sauce to penetrate into the ball. It’s a shame because the idea here — three simmering pots, each with a different type of meatball, then served from a small window near the L train — is pretty solid. But if you are really only serving one thing, it needs to be on point. Many others here have complained about the pricing. It’s definitely a problem. I went with the triple meatball because I wanted it to be a meal and I heard what others said. It filled me up, but at $ 11(also they have the credit card set to suggested tips of 15 and 20% to which, c’mon, this is a window) that’s just not good enough. I had to eat this while sitting on a fire hose while people came out of the PATH station. This isn’t gourmet dining, and I don’t think this makes sense at this price point. I’m afraid the feed needs a near total rethink. The sauce is too thin — there are no chunks or visible tomato pieces at all — and sans spice. The owners need to go to Staten Island or the Bronx, pick up an Italian grandmother and fix this mess pronto.

To me service means alot. The worker here was rude. I told her it was my first time here and she seems like she didn’t give a fudge. Lol anyway I ordered the double with Ravioli. Meatballs tasted like something I could’ve bought from the frozen department at the supermarket. Sauce was weak and the ravioli she should of told me it was mini. Like super mini! I would’ve taken a picture but I was so hungry. Not satisfied so I’m gonna get more food elsewhere. My first and last time. FYI it cost me about $ 10.00 for a snack.

Scoutmob 50% off* made for a decent $ 3.75 lunch from a pretty indifferent staffer(maybe because they apparently open at 7am). *FYI(rather than their apparently-now-refused Unilocal checkin offer); Seamless 10% off any order for new customers Double $ 7.50 + Beef + Parmesan + Bread + Pack To Go + Pork Scoutmob-Double -$ 3.75 Subtotal $ 3.75 NYC Tax(8.875%) $ 0.33 Total $ 4.08

Great place to go if you like oversized chef boyardee beef meatballs… absolutely pathetic excuse of a meatball… my friend liked the meatball so i gave it two stars… its supposed to come with a breadstick which i never even received –__-… great idea however…

Okay this was the first time I tried to use a Unilocal coupon. I showed the coupon and was told sorry don’t honor coupon. I had the double for 7.50. One beef any one turkey. The beef was better as the turkey was not as soft. The sauce was best part of the deal. Novelty yes gods deal no way.

I love the concept, but the execution was mediocre — my meatball was oversized and bland and the sauce was bland too. Neither was any better than what’s sitting my freezer and cupboard on a regular basis waiting to be microwaved. On the other hand, even a mediocre bland meatball is still a remarkably tasty and satisfying snack, so my complaints are modest.

It was cheap, and I suppose there’s something to be said about the low price. However, I went to this place and got three meatballs and was disappointed. The balls were just in sauce, yet they were somewhat dry, and lacked flavor. I certainly wasn’t blown away by any standard.

Literally just a hole in the wall specialty meatball shop. Great selection of sauces to choose from to accompany a selection of beef, turkey, or pork meatballs. Very flavorful quick snack. Would have given 5 stars for the flavor, however at over $ 9.00 for literally 2 average sized meatballs in a cup, I think it’s a little well overpriced even for the area. There’s not even any indoor seating or tables, just a window on the sidewalk to order through. Would probably go again if I needed a quick on the go snack in the area.

The thing about NYC is that if you don’t walk the streets you miss too much in between where you start from to your destination. Witness this -! An outstanding emporium whose fare is limited to the meatball — beef, turkey and pork. They have sauces but if the meatballs are good who needs more sauce. No place to enter. No place to sit down. An opening to a tiny kitchen and charming people to serve you. A board about 4.5 feet high is there to rest your carton on to partake of the savory obsession Find it and try it.

Pretty good, not the best. But good lunch. Super fast. I consider myself a meatball connoisseur, so I may be hard to please. Love the idea! Bread that came with it was just ok. Guys that work there are super nice.

Meatball Obsession is a worthy take-out alternative to the more famous outlet it emulates, but you know what they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. The menu is brief but still manages to make you think about the permutations of meat spheres and sauces. We tried 2-ball combos and mine was turkey and pork, umbria style(peppers, onions, mushrooms). Very tasty, and you can easily gulp down 2 or 3 when you’re hungry while awkwardly standing near the busy intersection on 6th Avenue. Rather pricey for what it is, but if you need to indulge your meatball obsession, this is a necessary stop on your ball crawl.

Great! Meatball was excellent. Pine nuts on we’re great. Bread was good. Sauce was odd. It’s a window in the walk along the sidewalk so you options are take out or walk and eat. Be careful with the walk and eat option. It gets everywhere.

I was walking by and it caught my eye. What’s not to love about a meatball, right? Tiny place with window service only, so if you want a bathroom or a table… sol. I had the beef meatball in a cup. Doesn’t get more basic than that. Meatball was ok, not dry or terribly flavorful. Just a meatball with Sunday gravy and some cheese on top. With a cold pice of bread. For $ 4.00, I guess I can’t ask for more. Maybe a smile cuz meatballs are fun, but the server was grim. Well, I did and can now say I’ve cured my meatball obsession.

Not the best thing I’ve ever eaten but seriously good for such a cheap price. I had a beef meatball topped with the ‘positano’ topping. It was basically lasagna with a big meatball in the middle and a side of bread for dipping. Super tasty, really portable, and cheap! I spent $ 4.75 and it was really filling. Worth trying for sure!

Really not very good. We walked up recently and got the 3 meatball special for $ 10, plus a free topping via the Unilocal checkin offer. We ordered 2 pork meatballs and one beef, but received 2 beef and 1 pork. The meatballs were nothing special, but not horrible either. Relatively tame on the spices and borderline bland which would have been ok with a great sauce, but the sauce was also very bland and tasted a bit like Ragu. The cauliflower topping we had was floppy and lacking salt. The employees that were working there acted as if it was an inconvenience for us to be there, and were not very helpful at all. I would avoid Meatball Obsession.

If i were to be obsessed with anything here it wouldn’t be the meatballs BUTTHATSUNDAYSAUCE Mmmm they’re just a TAKEOUTWINDOW on 6th ave w/a small counter outside to stand & eat, but there’s no seating! –double meatball(one beef, one pork) w/grated pecorino on top: JUST2 meatballs in a cup of italian sauce & a strip of foccocia bread for dipping. the meatballs were nothing special & one of them had a gamey taste BUT the Sunday Sauce was so tasty… ATFIRST i thought there was way too much sauce to meatball ratio but i finished ALL of it KINDAPRICEY… i don’t think i’d pay $ 4PER meatball in the future, so i’m glad i got to use the scoutmob deal for this one!
