Mazag Hookah Lounge

Mazag is defintely a place i would go to again. I went with my hubby. The owner was super nice. I love that they are consistent with the coal change. The ice hose was to die for. Over all it was a good experience had by all. Will defintely come back for more.

Mazag is definitely the place to go if you’re over the regular hookah joints on Steinway that are too loud, crowded and overpriced. You can actually hear one another and your belongings aren’t spilling into the group next to you. It’s not cramped or suffocating, and it’s well ventilated.
The staff here is extremely friendly (I adore Fatima!). They don’t mind explaining the flavors/​mixes and offer suggestions based on your preferences. They process your order really quickly and frequently change the coal. The hookah stays fresh most of the time, but it can become harsh once in a while. In that case, the staff always clear it out and don’t act exasperated like they do at other places on the hookah strip, ugh. I definitely appreciate that!
I don’t mind the hookah needing to be cleared out once in a while since Mazag is cheaper than the other hookah places on Steinway. They have a couple of TVs with games on, and fun old school jams. Overall, Mazag has a really chill environment and is the perfect place to relax and catch up with friends.

Everytime I come here the staff is friendly and attentive. Cheap price for hookah and the hookah is the best!

My friends and I come here every Friday night. We like this place, because the hookah is good and the owner is friendly. Also, we come here to play board and card games and the music is not too loud that you can’t hear the person next to you.

Forgot my iPhone here and the owner tried to keep it even though find my iPhone said it was there. Went back and they still denied it was there had to get cops involved. Terrible experience not planning to go back, but if you decide to go make sure to hold onto your belongings as tight as possible.

Love love love this place. Great quality shisha and just an overall great place to just relax on Steinway in the midst of clubby hookah lounges.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. Took forever to be served, server almost BURNED us with the coal! It also smelled bad in there, the mouth piece on the hookah was DIRTY and I could see what looked like crusted boogers on it. I also could see FLIES around where they were preparing the food. Then I went to the bathroom and I saw THREE cockroaches! Then as I was leaving the one guy serving us had the nerve to ask if we could leave more money for the tip! I AM NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN, DISGUSTING, TERRIBLE SERVICE, RUDE STAFF, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

From all the hookah places I chose to come here. The staff are really frriendly and they change the coal frequently plus they play good music. Im having watermelon and mint hookah and its pretty good

I’ve been here a couple of times now. This is just a nice chill laid back place to come and smoke some good hookah. It has a great atmosphere and the music is at a nice level where you can sit and have a nice conversation with friends without having to try to speak over it. The waitstaff is always very friendly and helpful. I’ll be coming back.

Mazag have the nicest servers, most relaxing indoor vibe and one of the best hookah on Steinway. Sorry folks there’s no alcohol here but the hookah is the main attraction. They serve excellent hookah starting from $ 10. I love the tea and delicious fruit drinks. Great spot to come after work or a long night of dancing.

So far one of the best hookah places in Astoria, the service is so nice, the hookah taste very good and they serve it so fast.

Finally a hookah lounge that has fresh quality hookah! I’ve been coming to this lounge ever since it has opened and is the only hookah lounge I enjoy going to on Steinway. Very good service with a very cheerful woman named Fatima. This lounge also offers yummy desserts and nice soft drinks. Hookahs come in a lot of fresh flavours to choose from and FRESH fruits to combine with. If you’re looking for a nice relaxing time to smoke hookah indoors I recommend this place alot!

Service sucked!!! Waiter was unattentive! We were sitting outside but they wud not accommodate us inside despite the cold weather. Once we got inside the waiter didn’t even return to ask if we needed anything. We had to ask other waiters for what we needed. He was truly the definition of RUDE!
