I have bought shirts from 10+ different places in NYC and online from the visiting hong kong tailors to the Armoury:
MATCHVM:
— Hands down the best Collars and Cuffs I have ever had in a custom shirt (you can choose the stiffness but they blow away competitors)
COMPETITORS:
— Terrible Fit /​Buy More: Shirts don’t exactly fit right in the sleeve, collar, too short etc. but they won’t fix it before a sales person is up in your grill to buy more
— Bad Factory: They take measurements and then send them to some crappy factory abroad which never seems to fit right and takes forever due to Tariffs with U.S. — it may be Thomas Mason but you will pay through the nose and the shirt buttons will fall off and the shirt will rip
— The Invariable «Package:» Start running if you meet with a tailor and they start pushing you to buy a «package» — good indicator that they are all about them and the sale

Overall great experience. Fast, free shipping. Mr. Park was professional and personable. I no longer look like a scrub & people at work have asked me if I lost weight (lol). I still can’t believe the difference it has made in my confidence.
Their «Grey Shirt Sizing» program is similar to how Warby Parker’s «Free @ Home Trial» works. Answer a few basic questions. Try on three grey shirts, combine any element from the three grey shirts you like, and a few days later I was looking my best & feeling even better. Plus, the free shipping both ways… WHAMMIEE.

I normally buy shirts and bring them to my tailor to have them fitted to my body. Problem is the shoulder seams are either bigger or the buttons are too close the the bottom after it has been shortened. This was my first time getting a shirt custom made and it fits perfectly. The cost wasn’t much higher than me buying a regular shirt then spending the extra money to have it fitted. Looks like this is how I will buy shirts in the future, especially since I also have the ability to pick my fabric and design my own shirt.

Whenever I buy a dress shirt at a retail store, it always ends up being short in the sleeves (I have long arms) or too baggy even when I get a slim fit shirt. I had a lot of weddings coming up and I wanted to get a shirt that would look great when I took off my jacket. This was my first time getting a custom fitted shirt, and I honestly couldnt be happier with my Matchvm shirt. The questionaire addressed all the problems I usually have when buying a shirt (sleeves too short, usually baggy even with a slim fit cut). This is the best fitting shirt I have ever owned. The quality of the shirt is also superior to my previously owned shirts.
The best part is that when I want to get more, all of my measurements are on the site, so there is no worry that the next shirt wont fit right. I’m very happy with my experience with Matchvm and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a personal, custom fit without breaking the bank. 5 stars

After many years working on Wall Street, I’ve gone through tons of different dress shirts ranging from $ 50 Brooks Brothers shirts to $ 200 custom made shirts. I recently switched to Matchvm shirts and I’m never going back. Matchvm shirts are perfect because they offer a blend of custom high quality craftsmanship with the price and ease-​of-​shopping of Brooks Bros or Charles Tyrwhitt. The process was extremely easy and the shirts truly have a better quality /​fit than my fully custom shirts that cost twice as much. I’m so glad I stumbled upon Matchvm and plan to buy all my shirts from them from now on.

It was my husband’s first time to buy custom shirts, and we are so happy with how they turned out!
It took about three weeks to get the shirts.
We were really impressed with the quality of workmanship. The shirts fit well through the shoulder, chest, and waist. The fabric is soft and feels high quality as well.
By the way, if you are in Manhattan, make an appointment with the tailor! He was nice and helpful, and the view from the showroom was stunning!

I’ve been ordering made-​to-​measure suits and shirts from Indochino, DeoVeritas, and a few others for years. After a weekend trip to the city and several fittings later, my tailor helped me step my game up to bespoke.
Now, my patterns are on file with their master tailors in Seoul. Even though I live a few hours outside of NYC, all I need to do is hop on the website and order custom clothes built from my very own hand-​made bespoke patterns.
Finding a good tailor is like finding a good mechanic. Highly recommended. 5 stars.
