Marc by Marc Jacobs Men’s

Love this store! Its tiny but boy does Marc Jacobs have some amazing stuff! Love all the colorful shirts as well as accessories. I went recently to purchase a bag and the saleswoman was very friendly, down to earth, and helpful. I asked about getting a brand new version of the bag i wanted, rather than the one off the shelf, and she gladly went and got a brand new one, wrapped and all. She was very patient with me and didn’t make me feel at all intimidated while I looked around the little shop. Love Marc Jacobs, and equally love this little store.

Marc Jacob is Amazing! Don’t go here if you want to save money as I can promise you you will spend money! The shop is stunning and the assistance helpful and sweet! Then it is the clothing… What can I say! A must visit when in NY!

Amazing store. The Marc by Marc Jacobs Men’s staff is a breath of fresh air and beacon of life for the evolving brand and company. Compared to the other concept stores, the Men’s shop delivers great quality and service along with fun ideas, vibrant style, and a slice of New York realness. Store space is limited so I recommend shopping on a weekday as opposed to a weekend to ensure the upmost quality in customer service and experience.

Although I like Marc Jacobs as a designer and his street-​savvy approach to clothes, this store is a major disappointment. It’s really a TINY little store (a hole-​in-​the-​wall) that puts his brand to shame. I know it’s no flagship but still I expected a bit more, like DIESEL-​esque stores, with much more space and variety to choose from.
The clothes are fine but the inventory sucks. The store carries t-​shirts and things that are so outdated I think I saw the same ones like two years ago when I last visited this store. Clientale is a mix of trendy peeps, Europeans, Gays, and surprisingly African Americans.
There is a tiny little dressing/​changing room and staff are indifferent most of time really there just to ‘ring you up’ once you’re ready to pay for your item. They’re not helpful nor they approach you to assist or what not. I bought a wallet here for $ 24 which is fairly priced but still, the staff and the inventory really needs some improvement here.

Full Review: I visited the Bleecker street store recently and was greeted by some of the friendliest people I’ve ever encountered. The staff here is extremely helpful and warm, with great knowledge of the inventory. Be sure to ask any question you want, because the staff will surely know the answer. The store is kept spotless to help ensure a desirable shopping experience. Everything about this place says «Fashion».

One of my favorite stores on Bleecker. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I went in with the intentions of just grabbing a shirt. I ended up leaving with a few pairs of shorts, some flip flops and a couple items for friends.
I love the fact that they have a huge selection of celebrity skin shirts in all colors and sizes. Their waxed denim are some of the best i’ve purchased in a long time. Reasonably priced and great fit.
They cater to all clientele. Small accessories, tshirts, swim trunks, button ups, jeans, shoulder bags and shoes. If you’re lucky, you may even find a few items on sale.
It was a breath of fresh air dealing with such nice people while shopping. Everyone was so attentive and pleasant. The customer service was the best that i’ve experienced in such a long time.
I’ll be back in the near future for more item for myself and gifts for the family.

Really really rude!!! I don’t even expect them to be polite but at least some respect. I have been here several times and this time I bought more then 10 items and asked nicely for an extra shopping bag. The sales guy said it was store policy that they could not give extra bags. I said it was some gifts for my friends and i did not want to give them without a bag. He reluctantly got one bag and threw it to my face! I was so pissed off and wanted to return all of them. Then the manager jumped in and said he would not allow me to return them now. I got really angry and asked him to to it right now and then he threatened he was going to call the cop. I did not want to talk to him anymore. I asked his name and i filed a complaint immediately. I have been to so many MarcJacobs and MarcbyMJ stores and this one is the worst.

I love the fun t-​shirts at this store! yeah the staff is bitchy– this is NY !

I’m ashamed to have this store in my neighborhood.
Maybe the staff are pissed because their dreams of being salesperson-​models for Opening Ceremony were shot down.

I was sad to hear that the accessories store had been removed but you can still find select accessories at the different boutiques. I recently purchased a small skull necklace from this location and I love it.

Small little boutique… I only liked the MJ Carabineer Clip Keychain.

It began innocently enough; out of the corner of my eye I spotted a row of neon-​colored wellington boots. The gears started turning… last winter I blew through at least two pairs of good leather shoes navigating the treacherous snowbanks left by several major snow storms. I _​needed_​to get a pair before November’s winds turned into December’s blizzards.
The whimsy pretty much ended the minute I walked into this cramped shoe-​box of a store. The store is small enough that the three bitchy wait staff made it feel cramped. «Any green boots in my size?» «tsk. what we have is on the floor.» «are they available online?» «why would i know?»
i’m glad that i settled for my bright blue boots; they’ve done well through this winter’s snow. still, the pretentious staff made me less than interested in lingering and browsing the rest of their offerings.

I almost didn’t go in because I saw that it was the Men’s store and I had already hit up the women’s stores a couple blocks down, but I thought — hey I’m in the area, so why not? THANK GOD I DID.
HUGE selection of unisex (or at least they looked it to me since I would wear all of them) t-​shirts, tote bags, keychains, the Latin rings (diehard MbMJ fans, you know the ones I’m talking about!), the mirrored heart clutch, MbMJ Sharpies… the list of specialty items go on. I wanted to get one of everything but ended up leaving with a ring, a MARC fist keychain, and a green canvas tote that will be perfect for light college days.
So worth the visit if you’re into Marc — and even if you’re a lady. Does get crowded, but this is one crowd I’m willing to brave to get my hands on some Marc goodies.

How do you rate a place if you shoplifted from there? Okay I didn’t, REALLY.

I mean, oh SHIT. I had Chase calling me 15 minutes later to ask if someone had stolen my bank card due to all the activity. I made my debit card into a filthy, filthy whore that night.

Marc Jacobs, the designer of signature fashion collections in New York and those of the French luxury label Louis Vuitton in Paris, is one of the most prolific and provocative forces in global fashion. His designs set the standard for what fashion will do next year.
I’m usually not a fan of diffusion lines (CHAPS = Couldn’t Have A Polo Sport) but Marc by Marc Jacobs always comes through. Casual and comfortable at the highest level, with great threads for any type of style. Whether you’re a trend setter, cool kid, or going out to club that night, Marc got something for you.
The store is pretty small and is usually crowded but they are open until 10 PM. I literally came here before they closed, brought a pair of sneakers and put them on to go to Griffin. Like I said before, they have something for any type of event.

This place is literally a hole disguised as a hip store, but is actually a death trap. Or at least somewhere a person could really get hurt. I walked in and thought the store was big and had more room towards the right… only to realize that it was just a very big, very clean mirror. I’m pretty sure that if my foot hadn’t hit the class first, I would have walked right into it. Even disregarding the fact that I’m a walking klutz, I’m pretty sure I wasn’t the first one to do that, as one of the clerks yelled «watch out» seconds too late.
And the rest of the clerks weren’t all that friendly either — the girl assisting me only helped begrudgingly, as if my presence disturbed her hipness. But then I wouldn’t be very gracious either, if i had to stand in a claustrophic room all day.
Also, while I was there, I heard them discussing the «rumor» that by next year, that location would be turned into the kid’s store. Which I guess is more appropriate, as children are much smaller and will probably fit more comfortably there.

Ear muffs. I’ve decided ear muffs might be the key to me being less cold and more happy this winter. Plus, I’m getting sick of hat head.
Beneath a glass case in Marc Jacobs Men’s Store I spied a selection of ear muffs, including a puffy, silvery one. I tried it on but it caused me to look even more Bjork than usual so I put the muffs back. That, and they were approaching $ 300. And not synthetic, either. I, for one, do not want a fox on my ear (nor a coyote around my neck, but that’s another story entirely).
Still, this Marc Jacobs store offered a crazy little snapshot of New York for me when a woman with an obscenely well-​groomed dog stepped in. From behind the counter one of the sales boys pulled a bag of treats. Drool from the dog’s eager lips dripped to the floor as his disciplining owner made him sit properly to receive the snack. Apparently this is commonplace, as lots of dogs in this West Village ‘hood pop in for a bone on the regular.
Meanwhile, I’m still on the hunt for some affordable ear muffs.

Ditto Sam. Tiny-​ass store and any more than 2 people browsing the clothing rack and you’re at capacity. Plus the bitchy wait staff act like they’re on power-​trips (not sure over what, exactly) and seem to just be chillin’ instead of being helpful.
I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

As I said in my review of The Marc Jacobs store in Soho, I will always appreciate Marc for his whimsy and fun approach to high fashion (if only the prices were a bit more whimsical), but this store is not showing off his best work. It’s so cramped and tiny that when I stopped in one weekday afternoon, there were only like 3 other people there and it still felt over-​crowded! I can’t imagine it on the weekend when the mall that Bleecker St has become really gets full of people.
Also, I don’t really understand why they decided to split this off from the other, much larger Bleecker Street location in order to expand the women’s section. I realize nationally that women are your target audience, but in New York? In the West Village? Come on Marc, show some love for the family. The boys deserve better.
