Horrible management. Promised amenities such as daily breakfast disappeared after I moved in. Paid extra for gym but management neglects: not fixing water cooler for months etc. Still waiting return of security deposit two months after vacating.

I had to sign up to Unilocal to complain about this place.
The management of the building are so bad it’s like the are trying to annoy because they get a kick out of it.
They never issued me a key for the amenities but persisted on keeping them locked at all times. I had to call the management every day during the day every day and they kept giving me comical answers like ‘yeah we’re changing suppliers of key cards so we’re not sure what we’re going to do right now, but like if you call back tomorrow I can tell you if we’re any closer to a decision’
This lead to all sort of issues, for example, if I wanted to use the gym, their solution was to have me call the front desk and ask them to send the porter up to let me in. This meant every time I wanted to use the gym I would call the front desk, explain the situation, and then go down to the gym and wait to be let in.
One time I was doing this, I was shouted at by strict looking 21 year old woman for being a cheap skate and not paying the gym fee.
When I explained this to the management they sort of sided with the girl, despite me having paid ALL costs up front.

Very bad management. We stayed for 2 years. The overall experience was okay. However, we still have not got our security deposit back after we moved out. The contract states that we get deposit back within 2 months. However, it has been more than 2 and a half month, and they kept finding new excuses to delay the payment. Horrible…

Building would be awesome, but management issues never seem to end.
First moved in — booked elevator, but they never put it in the system, then yelled at us for not booking an elevator.
They charge extra for use of amenities most luxury buildings include gratis.
They just changed management *again* and upped the lockout fee *again*. Can’t leave a key with the doorman like you can at *any other building*.
Now they just closed the terrace. No indication it will ever open again.
It’s too bad — our apartment is really lovely, doormen/​staff are super friendly, but management seems to do whatever possible to make living here a difficult, expensive, and frustrating experience, time and time again. Most people we knew when we moved here have left. There’s a reason the rents are dropping…

Place has some issues

AFTER 7 YEARS… ITS NOW ALL GONE TO HELL
We lived at the Marc for 7 years, it USE TO BE a fun, cool, easy going building to live in with great friendly staff… UNTIL LAST YEARS MANAGEMENT CHANGE.
Many of the staff we loved were all pushed-​out and replaced with corporate «auto-​bots» headed-​up by the new building manager… some bitter old bag who now runs the show and has created a «Department Of Motor Vehicles like environment» for the tenants and remaining staff.
The TWO 50+ story buildings being erected on 54^th St are a 6 day a week …7am to 6pm… NOISE NIGHTMARE!
Union rallies everyday, traffic backup and gridlock, trucks loading/​un-​loading building materials all day long, access to the garage blocked, endless car horns day and nite.
I was on the 45^th floor and couldn’t ever sleep past 7am .
SECURITY DEPOSIT HELL! Even after being great tenants for 7 YEARS… The manager Sandra made getting the security deposit back a nightmare. Wouldn’t return phone calls, no replies back to emails just complete evasion of responding to our inquiries for 3+ months.
I HAD TO RETAIN AN ATTORNEY TO GET OUR DEPOSIT BACK
In sum the building use to be great sadly enough that greatness is now gone and replaced with a revolving door of transients, bad management and endless construction/​traffic noise.
