Solid fried chicken but the poor cashier was constantly being berated by guests from young middle schoolers to angry middle aged men. If you order from here get take away or delivery. Really liked the sweet potato pie! 3.5 stars!

I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and chicken wings Wings weren’t good. this is not bbq chicken… Seems like they just took their cheese pizza and put in pieces of cut up fried and breaded chicken. Not to mention took over an hour for food to arrive. I will never order from here again!!!

freaking rip off. first time I went. ordered the leg thigh 10 piece special. told to wait as they were cooking it. got home and it was 2 thighs and 8 legs. that was 3 months ago. tried it again tonight, while mentally regretting it. 5 piece leg and thigh. they give all drums. forget this rip off spot. not biased. but 2 for 2. at least you are consistent? batting 100 guys. id rather pay the fruit stand outside. he is much better. this coming from a resident within 1000 feet from both places

Cheap, fast, tasty fried chicken. Is it the best fried chicken? No. But it ain’t bad and by the standards of good value, speed, convenience and respectable service, I have to give it five stars. ITISWHATITBE.

i should maybe be embarrassed by how many times i would stop by this place on my way home from work when i lived in the neighborhood but hey, $ 5 for two pieces of fried chicken, fries(sometimes a biscuit thrown in), and a soda, so i was happy. the chicken was usually good, sometimes the fries were a bit soggy but it was decent for what i paid for.

This place is good, CHEAP, and convenient, its not the kind of place where you wanna stay to eat your meal but it’s perfect for take outs. Give it a try, if you like fried chicken you’ll go back!

Cheap, crispy fries($ 1.50!), quick service and right next to the C/B trains. Next time I’ll try some pizza(smelled and looked decent) & wings(when I’m feeling adventurous).

The best fried chicken in Harlem. I’ve sampled many of the fried chicken joints nearby and nothing compares, especially if you get a batch fresh out the oven. Prices: $ 1.99 for a leg and a thigh, $ 4.99 for a 5 piece, and $ 8.99 for a 10 piece. All come with a(dry) roll. The outside looks a little sketchy but the guys that work here are extremely friendly. Also, they speak french! Parlez francais your way into some delicious chicken — you won’t regret it.

Mama? Girl, you ain’t my mama. Rusty made me eat here. Literally, it doesn’t take that much force to get me to eat, as evidenced by my 300+ Unilocal Reviews and cute little tummy… But I am hesitant about these local fried chicken places. They just all seem a bit sketchy to me. The weird, generic looking menus with really bold colored photos look too good to be true. It’s also bizarre how you can’t smell anything once you step in here. There is no warmth radiating from a fresh fryer or oven… Suspicious. Most of the food can be seen sitting under the radiating glow of a heat lamp… but again, Rusty loves this place, so I said I would give it a try. They offer everything. Gryros, «fish», «shrimp», heroes, beef patties, fried chicken, hot wings, chicken tenders. You crave it and they have a cheap version of it. Rusty got hot wings, fries and a sweet potato pie. I got wings and a «biscuit». The food surprisingly took several minutes… Yet still no smells of food cooking… Bizarre. Once we got home, the food was good enough. Rusty’s hot wings weren’t really«hot»…Instead they had this mild/subdued bit of heat to them. My wings were good, but definitely not fresh. The«biscuit» was really a small dinner roll and the mashed potatoes tasted like cardboard. The fries were ech. Seems like they wanted to be McDo’s fries, but failed miserably. Sorry Rusty, but we will have to agree to disagree when it comes to «Mama’s»

‘Settled’ for this when we found Charles’ closed for 4th of July, but it wasn’t half bad.

You gotta love the local fried chicken joint! I recommend the popcorn chicken and fries. It’s quick, cheap, filling and delicious — albeit not so healthy. So, don’t be turned off by the looks of the place because you’ll miss out on some good food!

Cheap and greasy grub. Just what I needed after a night of boozing.

Perfect place for local gang-bangers and drug addicts to get terrible food. They save on real estate by encouraging patrons to eat al fresco and leave half-eaten food and garbage all over the neighborhood.

Fresh, great tasting fried chicken. Mama’s takes chicken seriously & what a deal, four pieces for less than a fin.

Great food and dirt cheap. Chicken sandwich, order of munchers and a Coke for like $ 5. And they’re open til like two or three.

CHEAP! CHEAP! CHEAP! Depending on whether they clean the grease that day, your fried food can be golden or as tanned as George Hamilton. After the bar late at night, or craving fried chicken any time I head on over and play grease roulette there. It’s soo bad it’s good. Love their orangey mac and cheese. Love their slaw. Not soo much the heartburn stuff I take after, but still it’s cheap and filling

This place serves basic fried chicken, burgers, and junk food of the like at rock bottom prices. cheeseburger w/fries & a drink is $ 3.75. stays open late too. cant really beat it if you feel like being lazy and eating junk
