Its a nice past time but the the officiating needs lots of iimprovements! When the replay technology is available, it should be used to get the calls right. Otherwise, it could end up costing the team and its players a season!
If they are really worried about further slowing down the game, then they can just reduce the inings from 9 to 7 or 6 but please use replays!
Umpires may be working hard and to the best of their abilities but they ar ehuman beings. And human beings are bound to make errors! But if the MLB does not want to correct it by the use of replays, they are making a bigger error!
MLB recently denied the protest filed by Angels for their game against Chicago White Sox! Same thing had happened with CWS in playoffs few years ago. Umpires had called the hitter out, Angels fielders had started leaving still the batter ran for the 1^st base and ultimately it was awarded to them! Both the time the culprit was A. J. Pierzinski! Such lousy decision can cost a club season which it did back then. May be it was cost one more season this time!
Another thing to do is charge an «error» to the umpire for making wrong calls just like charging fielders! This wouldtrack how good/​bad the umpire is! If anything, such improvements can bring trophies to the deserving playerswho are working hard!

how cool is this. I can be the first one to write about the mlb players association. couldn’t find the office of the commissioner or mlb’s office on Unilocal,so looks like the players assn. will have to bear the brunt of my frustration as a fan.
let’s see which strike do I begin with. not entirely the players’ fault in any of them, as they’re just hard working, underpaid stiffs, right?
so, I gave them 3 stars – because that’s the mid-​point between 1 and 5. Now if this had been mlb or the commissioner’s office, it would have been just one star, because that’s the min. you can give.
think I’m gonna try to find ol’ Bud in Milwaukee and give him a piece of my mind.
