I stopped in here with my significant other and was hoping that it would be a great addition to the neighborhood ala Joy Burger or Jimmys. Boy. Was I wrong! Environment: It was weird. The whole restaurant is set up rather oddly, as if you are stepping into someone’s house without the kitch and fun that goes along with it. Like the grandma’s house you dread, upon entry you feel awkward and can’t wait for the moment to leave. You see directly into the kitchen that looks like the one in your apartment, and there is no place for the staff to have their own area. Overall, it does not look like a place i would want eat in or from. Staff: They seem friendly enough, but have no idea what they are doing. As we walked in, the lady literally just lit up a cigarette while sitting at the table. That was literally only a foot or two from the food service area. They also didn’t seem that knowledgeable on how to make the coffee I ordered, but I will get to that later. Food: This I can’t say much about as I only ordered the coffee. They served it in soup containers, and it was absolutely the worst coffee I have had in my life. I literally took one sip and threw the rest out. I have no idea what was wrong with it, but it was just awful and chalk tasting. I’ll just take the coffee as an indication of their actual food, and stay far far away from them.

Brand new little café next door to the Martial Arts center. There are literally 5 tables in the place. I admittedly got the blueberry upside down cake with vanilla sauce to go. It was really good, reminded me of a blueberry muffin with some excellent frosting. I’ll be heading back in the near future to do a full on analysis. They seem to have a mix of foods that include a range of Latin options.
