FOOD: Mediocre The pizza is fairly average. Not terrible, but not any better than any other slice you could get in the area. SERVICE(Delivery): Terrible; 2+ hours Slow delivery and rude service is the reason for this 1 star review. I recently ordered from here and, after about an hour, my food had not arrived. I called to ask where the food was because I only live a few blocks away. The owner tells me that it is «very busy» that night, that the delivery guy«just left» and that he should arrive in «a few minutes.» Another 45 minutes go by and the food still has not arrived. I call again. The owner, again, tells me that it is «very busy» and that they are going to «send it out, right away.» I told him that«I called 30 minutes ago and you said that the food already went out.» He responded«I don’t know what you want me to do boss, you’ll get it in a few minutes.» After an extended(unpleasant) phone call, the owner refused to take any steps to rectify this mistake(no refund, no free pizza, no customer service whatsoever). OVERALL: 1 Star The food is fine, but it’s just not worth the trouble. There are several pizza places in the area that will delivery pizza, that’s just as good, on time. No need to order from here.

So glad pizza this good is just a short jaunt from my place. I’ve lived on UES for almost 3 years and wish I found this place sooner. The pizza is always fresh. When you walk in, nothing looks like it has been sitting out for hours. The variety is insane as well. The toppings seem endless. It’s great because there really is something for everyone. And it’s not expensive. They don’t have BS credit card minimums either. The pizza is damn good. Definitely check this place out when you want a solid, unpretentious slice.

Very greasy pizza. Unremarkable cardboard tasting dough. Cleanness is also an issue here. One of the worst in the city: if I could give no stars, I would do so. Would NOT recommend.

Fast, fresh, basically AMAZING! We are visiting from Arizona and found this place via Unilocal after touring the MET. We were hoping to find a phenomenal pizza joint and we were not disappointed!

Its a great place to go for a slice of pizza or a more complete meal. I had gluten-free pasta and my girlfriend got 2 slices of pizza. We wait for a while, but food was great. Would come again!

Lunetta is right around my apartment; I think the very first time I stopped by was while we were moving into the apartment, and I needed an ice cold drink and some pizza as a break. Ran down the street for a quick bite, but waited a solid 15 minutes for them to heat up a pizza… hit the spot, though. When I ordered delivery from here recently, I didn’t mind the wait time, but the pizza was.hard. Like cardboard. Probably the worst pepperoni pizza I’ve had, including those made from a box. The pizza was steeped in oil too, and I spent probably 2 paper towels per slice trying to blot off the oil. Will stop by for a pizza emergency, but there really are better pizza places in NY.

Ordered the x-large vegetarian specialty pie to takeout. It had a boatload of vegetables which I enjoyed tremendously. I don’t order much pizza but I will remember Lunetta next time I want to. FYI, it does have some tables and chairs and a bathroom but not sure I’d call it a restaurant. It’s a pizza place — not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Great pizza. Ordered 2 slices to go(cheese and veggie). Got home and started eating them when I noticed a dead cockroach stuck to the outside of the box! I was horrified at first but then finished the pizza knowing it hadn’t crawled out alive from inside the box… I know, I’m terrible Even though the pizza was good and I agree with the reviews, I can’t bring myself to order from there again. I’m sticking with Mimi’s!

Stopped by for lunch. I had the Spinach and Artichoke slice and a, I believe it was a, vodka sauce no chicken. Both were great in flavor but the dough was a bit too thin so it made it a bit too crispy. The workers were very friendly. Will definitely go again and recommend.

Came here once. Nice pizza, nice prices, nice people. No frills New York pizza. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up; fine holiday fun.

My go to slice pizza place when I am working in the nabe, Lunetta churns out really good plain slices. The crust is crispy, the cheese to sauce ratio is excellent and the tomato sauce is usually spot on. Quality can be slightly uneven… on some days the pizza is less tangy sweet than others but overall, I leave satisfied. Lunetta also makes colorfully topped specialty slices, like margherita with mushrooms, mushrooms with chicken – there are many varieties to choose from, thought I have to nit-pick and say many choices seem to mix meat and veggies, a bummer if you don’t eat meat. Lunetta will also custom make a pie for you. The staff is efficient and friendly, and one particular worker loves to upsell. Generally the staff keeps the place clean, despite the crowds they get. There is usually enough seating unless you come during the very busy lunch hours.

Imagine: an artisanal crust topped with the finest blend of fresh mozzarella with the sweetest hint of parmigiano reggiano, glazed in a hint of the finest extra virgin olive oil that would suit even the most refined palettes. Now, take that image and yourself over to Park Avenue and stay out of my pizza joint. Lunetta is not fancy. It is not artisanal. It is simply a super-solid slice of New York Style pizza. One of the best in the area. And their cheesesteak wraps are also greasily delicious. Pretty much everything I’ve had at Lunetta is good. If you want fancy, move out to Long Island or something, and stop ruining my city, yuppie. If you want a great slice of unpretentious pizza, go to Lunetta.

First time coming here after reading reviews on Unilocal.I’m a native new Yorker and have been eating pizza in new York for over 20 years. This place has one of the best pizza slices in new York city and at affordable prices(2.50 for plain slice). You can’t go wrong coming here if you want a good slice of pizza!

Congratulations, Lunetta, for offering the best(and only) vegan bruschetta I found on my trip to New York. Fresh ingredients — cut tomatoes, onions, and garlic — were sublime over a crispy yet thick crust. Keep up the wonderful work and offer more vegan options! I went out of my way to have this bruschetta again today before flying home. Only drawback was a way too mouthy server, but he was not there last time. Ha ha! I also liked the price and quick in and out fast food service in a fun east side location.

I wouldn’t get delivery from here. It takes a while and in my experience the food is usually cold-ish. That being said, I do love the pizza slices here. The chicken is usually moist, and it doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting out all day. I really love the chicken bacon ranch slice. I LOVE the grandma slice with bruschetta. So fresh and tasty. And filling for only $ 3.25. This is a great spot for specialty pizzas. They have plain slices as well, but also buffalo chicken(good), BBQ chicken, chicken francese, Caesar salad, and grandma slices. Just stop in, you’ll probably like it. They’re open late, and the people who work there during the day are nice.

I’ve ordered from this place in the past and it’s been a decent experience. But this past weekend, we ordered a half veggie half pepperoni pizza, or so we believed; and whoever took our order also believed that was what we ordered as that’s what our receipt said. Our pizza arrived as half cheese half veggie, that sucked, so we called the restaurant hoping a level of customer service would take place… it did not at all. They offered to exchange the pizza, but we had already started eating the veggie side, so then they said there was nothing they could do. After getting loud with them they stuck to it and decided we weren’t worth it as customers… My friend decided to call back and insisted on speaking with a manager. He gave her a hard time as well tried to offer her a discount for next time… Eventually he agreed to bring us 4 pieces of pepperoni, not a small pizza, but 4 slices, when they arrived they were 2 slices cut into 4 pieces. We called back to ask if they really gave us 2 pieces split in half, they said, «True we did, we’re busy and HUNGUPTHEPHONEONUS.» So I will NOT be dealing with there rudeness and utter lack of decent customer service. Which is unfortunate because they are pretty close, and decent pizza.

I had to knock a star off my review. We ordered pizza with the whole wheat crust and boy was that a mistake! It was heavy and mealy. Totally felt bloated after a few bites. The hubby and I couldn’t finish our food. My daughters wouldn’t touch it. We know for next time to stay with the traditional crust and avoid the whole wheat crust.

I had a couple slices on the way back from central park and the pepperoni and mushroom slice was delicious! Lots of mushrooms and they were fresh. All of the slices that they had looked and smelled really good. I’m normally not used to paying $ 4.50 a slice, but I guess that might be what they run for in NY. If you are in the area this is probably your best bet. I did a Unilocal search for the area I was in and this one came up with good reviews and I gave it a try based on that. Give them a try.

I ordered for about 18 people delivery. 1. the guy who answered and took my delivery order was VERY friendly and nice(which usually doesn’t happen in pizza joints) 2. there WERE some minor problems however by voicing my concern he more than made up for it and solved my problems. 3. Ordered the 30 $ salad which is for about 10 – 15 people, it was FANTASTIC. olives peppers cherry tomatoes, romaine NOT iceberg lettuce. it was awesome. 4. the pizza, crust is not too thick but not brick oven thin crust either it was perfect, the flavor was on point and used fresh abundant veggies. The meat lovers was great too and so was the buffalo chicken. Overall everyone who ate it was extremely happy and the quality was very good. I will order again. ;-)
