Living in the neighborhood you always want your stand by go to nyc pizzeria. The owners are super sweet but the food is just meh. The vodka grandma slice is probably the best slice only because the sauce or lack it tomato sauce make it good either the only crispy bottom slice. Also tried the lasagna but sadly it’s all pasta and not the multi layer of cheese, meat, sauce alternating between the sheets of pasta. Instead, it’s about 5 layers of pasta stacked on the bottom, one layer of sauce and meat and the another 5 stacked sheets of pasta. Very disappointed, feels like they want to charge you a whopping $ 15 for just one layer of actual filling. This just made it feel like a rip off, not to mention the lack of depth of flavor in the sauce. Tasted like cheap canned sauce.

Despite being my first opportunity to have authentic NYC pizza, this place is amazeballs! The staff is super friendly and the pizza is great. Incredibly clean and happy atmosphere. I will absolutely be coming back.

Very nice eating establishment. Good pizza, deserts, nice seating, attentive staff. I like that the restaurant has a container to throw plastic bottles in. This restaurant is run by people who care, that is apparent. I visited the restaurant on 10−24−15, because I felt like Italian food although I was in Chinatown.

Absolutely delicious! One of my most visited pizzeria around work, their pizza is pretty tasty. Although they are quite pricey compared to other pizzeria around the neighborhood but still it’s worth it considering the quality of the pizza and their staffs friendly service!

I have stopped by here a number of times. Grandma pizza is delicious and my husband just loves the sausage rolls. The owners Mary and Frank are wonderful people and make you feel at home. They take pride in their restaurant and it shows! Prices are very reasonable and food delicious! I would not hesitate to stop by!

I have had the grandma slice and it is very good, thin and a little crisp. Their veal parmigiana hero is quite good, but the prices have edged up a bit recently. I did not care for the meatballs that came with my spaghetti. It just seemed like the ratio leaned too much on the side of bread crumbs. Nice place to sit and wait for a bus.

Was in today for a vodka slice… does not get any better. Absolutely delicious. After eating my slice I had the pleasure of meeting the owners Frank and Mary… what great people! I was struck by the pride they take in their ingredients and the food in general. There are so many average unremarkable pizza places in the city, this is NOT one of them. Also, the restaurant is immaculately clean and has an A letter grade from the health dept. I can’t say enough good things about Luna! If you are in the area and want pizza, this is the only place to go.

My humble home is within Lombardi’s delivery zone… Meaning that I’ve eaten more than my fair share of Lombardi’s pizza over the years AND overlooked all the other pizza places around too. But one day a few months ago my boyfriend and I just decided to try Luna pizza, not expecting too much because this is literally the pizza place on the corner(which we had been walking past for years). Now we are finding ourselves craving Luna’s grandma pie half the time over Lombardi’s! It’s quick, cheap, and tasty. I just wish they cooked the pizza a little bit longer since the middle pieces of the grandma pie have no crusts they can be tricky to eat. I just ordered my pie«well done» and if that’s wrong I don’t ever wanna be right. This place is a definite step up from the pizza place that used to be on this corner… And the woman on the phone is nice, which I always appreciate :p

$ 3.25 gets you a GIANT, greasy, dripping with cheese slice of pepperoni pizza. It hit the spot. Not much else to say. Pizza is pizza. Greasy or not, it won me over. I was craving a jumbo-fold-it-in-half-watch-the-oil-fall-onto-my-paper-plate slice of pizza pie. And that’s exactly what I got. I miss New York for many reasons. Although I think other parts of the country have better pizza(I know– I know… judge away… condemn me… burn me at stake… whatever)…I still sometimes crave a slice of a NY style pie. Luna fit the bill. Thanks for making my afternoon jaunt a little greasier, a little yummier, and a little happier, Luna.

I came in here today because a co-worker told me about it. I must say the pizza is pretty awesome. I also had a cannoli and it was AMAZING! I was able to relax eat my food watch the Yankee and even chat with the owner. The staff is friendly and on point.

Most amazing food ever tasted. The fried calamari cooked perfectly, chicken francese to die for and amazing penne alla vodka. Pizza is delicious and so is everything on their menu. The staff is great and the owner is a sweetheart! I make it a point to stop by for a bite whenever I am in the area. Outdoor seating is nice as well and deserts are delicious. Best Italian food ever tasted– a must try!

I am a traveler from California. I was walking the city by foot with my family. All of a sudden my daughter gets a massive nose bleed. We had nothing to help her with, it was pretty hot and humid, she was gushing blood and we were stranded in Chinatown. We walked across the street to this restaurant and sat her in the corner hoping the owner would not mind. I was scared for her because she did not look well and also worried we would be kicked out of the restaurant. Boy was I wrong. The staff all came together to help us out bringing us napkins and wet paper towels. They were so kind and caring. The man who I think is the owner sat with us, gave us advice and helped us find the closest urgent care. Unfortunately I was not able to eat here; I really wish I had the chance to. I will be forever grateful to the people of the restaurant for helping a family in need. THANKYOUSOMUCH!!! If you are looking to eat at a place where the people really care about the customers then please check this place out!!!

The best pizza in NYC hands down. I used to eat here everyday for lunch until I fought my addiction. I could use a slice right now! As a lover of pizza this spot has the best recipe… flavorful marinara and very thin crust which I prefer. Every slice I’ve tried I loved. Their dishes are very good and freshly made as well. The staff are very nice and respectful. I have no complaints. My favorite favorite treat is their cannoli icecream during summer months. Ditch your current pizzeria and come here ASAP!

They don’t take reservations. But if you have a big party, you can notify them ahead of times so they can prepare a seating area and x amount of pies for your party. They brought the 6 pies to our tables. When we were done, we were going to clean up after our own mess, but someone came out telling us we don’t have to and they were going to clean it for us. There were plates, napkins, and cups all over the place. Of course we tipped them for cleaning up. But the fact that they even told us they were going to clean after us was a great gesture on their part. Great service! Pizza itself was like any other normal pizza. The crust had a nice bite to it. I would’ve given this place 3 stars but because of the great service, it gets an extra star.

As another reviewer noted, Luna Pizzeria is one of the best kept secrets in Chinatown. I went twice today(only ate once!). First I sat with one of my friends who as a native Brooklyn Italian, gave his seal of approval to their Sicilian slices. Later I returned with another friend and enjoyed a slice of sausage pizza and one with eggplant. The sauce and cheese on both were excellent. Later, Frank, the owner, explained that he prefers American special brand tomatoes to the Italian ones and uses a mozzarella cheese which has a tiny bit of salt for flavor. I thought the crust was a bit too firm but both of my friends liked it just fine. The sausage was a little bit too plain for my taste but the eggplant was thick and juicy! Overall the pizza was very good and I am just picky! I should also mention that the people who work there as well as the owner are very nice!

Avoid this place like the plague. Ordered pizza on an attempt to give them a second chance. When we opened the box it was clear that the pizza had fallen. All of the cheese and toppings were toppled onto one side or were stuck to the roof of the box. We called to complain and the woman gave us a hard time but eventually offered to send over another pizza. Hungry, we tried what was in the box. It was inedible. Not because of the fall(I am reasonable –mistakes do happen) but because it was so incredibly soggy that the toppings wouldn’t have stayed on sitting still. Anyway, I called to ask for a refund because I really didn’t want a second pizza of the same quality. The woman made excuses but the best was when she told me I should have ordered the pizza well done! Our money was returned as was the somewhat eaten, unhappily eaten, pizza. If you are going to order from here anyway be sure to take their advice and order your pizza well done so that it does not arrive soggy. After all these years of ordering pizzas, who knew?

When the boss hands you his credit card and says«Order Pizza for everyone», the options are kinda slim when you work in the chinatown area. Luckily, another unit recommended Luna Pizza and said they were decent and more importantly, reliable. I placed an order for 8 large cheese pies at 11:30am and requested them to be delivered by 1pm. The pizzas came piping hot at 12: 55 pm. Perfect timing and with plates, napkins, and pizza fixings. The bill was $ 139. Not too shabby. The dough is a little chewy but not offensively so. The sauce was just okay. The cheese was tasty and considering i ate two slices, It was not a bad choice. We will be ordering again for another office lunch.
