Thank you Lole for the amazing LoleWhiteTour at the Great Lawn in Central Park last night! It was a truly amazing and inspiring experience. It was a perfect spot to celebrate peace and wellness with 10,000 other yogis dressed in a sea of white/yellow outfits. The event was a lot better than I had originally anticipated, considering that any free ticketed event in NYC can get chaotic. But this event was organized really well. I think the only«stressful» part of was finding a pair of white bottoms to wear because it’s just not my favorite color to wear as pants. But it turns out you can just wear lighter color pants, which thankfully I have in other shades. So here is the rundown: 1. Dress code: a white top is a must, which symbolizes peace. A white top is much easier to find than a white bottom. According to their FAQ page, you can wear a lighter colored pants as a substitute. 2. Swag bag: One of the highlights of the event is obviously the freebies you get. The swag bag includes a free bottle of Fiji water(a sponsor), a Lole headband(a pretty good quality one too), a fitness magazine, and a discount card for full price item purchases at the Lole store. You also get a free Lole yoga mat. 3. This event is a picture-worthy event. Take loads of them. Bring your selfie-sticks. Or do the old fashion way and kindly ask your fellow yogis to take pictures of you. 4. Most importantly, absorb the surrounding. Be present. Let go of all the pressure, anxieties, and negative thoughts. Just smile. Namaste!

Lole is a great brand for women’s active wear and casual wear. I’m a big fan of their yoga pants and outdoor line in the winter. I’m also a supporter of the brand because they are committed to building a community of strong and active women through their free activity meet ups. They offer a variety of fitness classes and a running group on a weekly basis. Check out their Facebook page for dates and details.

I have ordered from Lole in the past via online. When I found out they opened up a store in Soho, I was execited. I went during the weekday last week and found the store selection to okay. Like most stores, the online selection is better. In the store, you definitely have to spend time searching because it was not organize by type of clothing(e.g. tops, sports bras, etc). Also the store staffs were not very helpful. They stayed together doing their thing and did not offer to help. Too be honest, I wasn’t even sure if both of them were working in the store.

Had a great experience here — always loved the brand and never had the opportunity to visit one of their stores. They had a great selection(of very cute clothes), and the employees were very helpful and accommodating. Hoping they’ll open a store in Chicago someday, too!

Lole recently opened up a store in Soho and have been putting on events to draw customers in. For the month of october they are doing free workshops every tuesday where they partner with local fitness studios. I attended the first workshop last week and will be attending my second tomorrow. When I arrived I was immediately greeted by the shop workers. They instructed me to put my keys/phone on a huge table in the center of the store for safe keeping and handed me a free mat to use for the class. I freshened up in the rest room, which was really clean and had things like facial wipes, free feminine care products, spray deodorant, lotion, etc. That was a first for a retail store! We waited and instinctively did some browsing of the goods for sale while everyone trickled in(all in all about 10 — 12 women, one guy) before they shut the door to keep out shoppers. The class was about 50 minutes long and is done right in store, which was surprising. I thought we were going to go to a studio or some large open space upstairs, but we remained right amongst the merchandise. The particular class I did involved lots of tabata work(pushups, squats, lunges, plyo) and I was really sweating at the end of it. At the very end of class they served beer and pretzels and people were encouraged to mingle. I’m excited to see how tomorrow’s class goes — it’s supposed to be more yoga/core work. I didn’t buy anything but from my browsing the fashion/clothes looked pretty good. The store itself is very nicely designed(bright, a huge television looping fitness stye commercials where models show off the store’s clothes), and a good size. I can’t speak on the prices because I don’t remember but it seems like this store would rival the nike store a few blocks further down on mercer street.
