Had egg and cheese on a roll and a muffin. Delicious. Real egg, real cheese, very cheap. Will return to see how the rest of their food is.

Sold 4 for a surprising great meatball parm. I’ve had them all over the city but the ones from these guys are among the best. 3 times proves that my first wasn’t a fluke. Can’t speak personally to anything else tho my friend raves about their sandwiches and their chicken parm. That’s up next.

$ 2 egg and cheese +.50¢ for an extra egg. Extremely happy I stumbled into this spot. Quality is great and it’s just what you want from a low cost tasty protein breakfast.

Ho-ly cow. I may have to amend an earlier review where I stated a different restaurant had the best sandwich in NYC. This place is small, hot, has virtually no seating — but just delivered one of the tastiest sandwiches I’ve ever had — beef brisket with cheese and gravy! Watching the sandwich get made was just as good as eating it — very authentic classic food. I can’t say I regret not ordering a pizza instead(the pies looked amazing), but man do I wish I had more time in NYC so I could try this place again and again.

Came in here and some dude was arguing with the man behind the counter. Not sure what that was about. The employee seemed to handle it well and stay calm. They charge $ 20 for a whole pie, pricey especially for a quiet part of 6th Ave several blocks from SoHo. Despite the consequences for my arteries I was about to indulge in a cheese slice but I noticed they require a $ 10 minimum for credit transactions. That doesn’t work in a cashless age. They ought to adopt a payments processor with lower fees(Square is one; I have no affiliation with them). I passed.

I’ve gone into this deli 3 or 4 times to buy a banana for my boss, and each time I have noticed the older, white haired gentleman(who is most likely a manager or something) behind the bagel and sandwich counter handle money and, without changing his gloves, handle bagels, muffins, and other food that is being prepared to be served to customers. It never occurs to him that he is contaminating the food he touches with all kind of germs from that money? Who knows what else he touches. Gross. I would stick with the pizza counter and avoid the deli counter at all costs.

my first experience at this location wasn’t the best. As I walked in I noticed the fast paced service moving along quite well. 15 seconds after stepping up my order was taken, a simple pepperoni slice and a simple mushroom slice. as I received my order, I noticed the server placed one pizza on top of the other and kindly shoved it in the bag. I should have just left it on the table, but I was hungry. as everything came up to almost $ 9, I was happy to leave in under 2 minutes. It felt as if I was being in a rush, the only one that seems that they were in a rush were the employees. I get it fast food, it defines speed and service… forget about quality of food. as I went back to work and handed out lunch, it was annoying to look at the cheese between the paper plates and pizza. wasting cheese like that is a sin. the pepperoni wasn’t the best, the cheese felt like rubber. my manager found a grey pubic hair in his mushroom slice, and was turned off from eating it.. I felt embarrassed. what I should have done, is take the 20 minutes and walk over to Saluggi’s pizza, on Church St. my message here is, laziness doesn’t pay.

The food is great and the servers are wonderfully nice. I really enjoy the service and the many different options.

Pizza is usually OK when getting slices. We ordered 20+ pizzas for a company lunch last week and the pizza was excellent! Getting a fresh pie is the way to go. Co-workers also love their eggplant parm, chicken parm and meatball sandwiches. They put a little extra love in their food and the prices(especially for Downtown) are not bad at all.

Can only review based on the pizza. Pretty solid. Nothing I’d go out of my way for, but if you’re in the mood for a decent slice and this is in proximity, it’s worth it. I had an egglplant slice and a Sicilian. The eggplant was the winner; nice dough consistency/crust and the eggplant was plentiful and tasty. The Sicilian wasn’t quite as fresh as I’d have liked it and I’ve certainly had better, but it wasn’t too shabby. Some of the other sandwiches etc. looked good so I may have to give that a spin the next time I’m there.

Ordered a stromboli and it was the best one I ever had. Seasoned right, fresh tomato sauce, service with a smile and they are actually proud of their work. What a contrast with the DD opposite!

Mid-level pizza — not the greatest, not the worst, right in the middle. On my lunch breaks, I’m more likely to walk a little farther over to Artichoke or Joe’s for better, but if I was in a real hurry and wanted pizza a little better than Phil’s, I could see myself going here again.

I came here for a slice of pizza after leaving work nearby. It seemed pretty good and the pizza looked appetizing. However, a couple came in after me and was served before me, even though I had already placed my order. It was so rude and I was so offended that I left to find somewhere else to eat. I don’t care how good the food is, I will never patronize a restaurant with bad costumer service.

As a visitor to this fine city, I was so happy to have this spot right across the street from my hotel. I can only speak for their salads and bagels, since those are the only two items I purchased there. Their salads were a lifesaver. You choose the type of salad(Romaine, Spinach, or Mixed Greens), and any toppings or dressing you like. They toss it for you right in front of you. I went for avocado, bacon, chicken, bleu cheese, and a vinaigrette. I got this twice while we were there, and it hit the spot both times. Bagel wise, I had an everything with scallion cream cheese. I would give it a solid OK. It wasn’t as amazing as the hole in the wall we found last time, but it hit the spot. They had pizza and a bunch of other stuff, but we were in town visiting friends, so we ate with them mostly. But if we return to NYC and stay in the same place(Courtyard Mariott on Varick) I will definitely hit this spot up again for lunch sometime.

Love. In the AM: Breakfast sandwiches, omlettes, bagels, muffins, etc… all basic breakfast stuff made to order. The cook has a ridiculous memory and quick skills on the grill. It’s a great spot for lunch. They have solid NY pizza, a full deli counter, and their hot foods are fantastic. Try their chicken parm, meatball sandwich, or their(Bubby worthy) brisket. They also have salmon and pastas, turkey and meatloaf Ask for things the way you like it. They aren’t stuck on making things only one way, and they can make anything into a platter or a sandwich. I must mention the brown gravy; I usually ask them to drown my food in it. It’s amazing. I love it over their their breaded chicken cutlets, which are some of the best I’ve had. What’s good is they have the same chicken cutlets as an ingredient for the salads(yes, they have grilled too.) They have plenty of ingredients to make a yummy, healthier alternative to the hot foods, and a good selection of dressings. Fat free ranch? Yes please. Balance is important. Drinks can be pricey but the food is reasonable, fast, and delicious. The people that work there are all super nice. I’m lucky to have them so close to my office.

As far as take-out lunch places goes, this place is the best. They have a huge variety of options including a bunch of different made on-the-spot sandwiches both hot and cold, pizza, and hot meals(lasagna, meatloaf, etc). Everything is affordable and very tasty. I’m very impressed they have such a wide variety at such a low cost that is so good. The people who prepare your food work very hard and quickly but do not sacrifice on quality. Overall, I am very lucky my office is right next to this place.

I consider myself to be seriously addicted to breakfast sandwiches, and Little Italy Pizza + Deli is in my top few for the best around! The bagels alone are enough to make any breakfast go-er happy as a clam. Super fresh and soft bagels in all the right flavors. I always get an everything bagel, which is an actual EVERYTHING, not a sad bagel with a few poppy seeds and onion bits. Service is always fast and efficient, the grill dude really knows what he’s doing behind the counter. The ladies taking care of the cash register are always so kind and welcoming… such a nice addition to a hectic morning on the way to the office :)

I asked for an egg, cheddar and tomato on rye. I asked for a medium coffee, skim milk, NO sugar(with the«NO» emphasized cause every place in NYC fucks this up otherwise). I get it back to the office. There is no tomato. There is a lot of sugar. DISLIKE.

Ok I caved. I returned. I had the much loved by coworkers chicken parm. Holy DAMN. The chicken was perfectly breaded; crispy outside, tender inside. The melted cheese melted my heart. The marinara sauce was perfectly spiced. The bread stayed crispy throughout the devouring, resisting the sauce’s temptation to go soggy. I love it!!! And at $ 6.50 for a massive hero? I love it even more! I will definitely be back now for the chicken parm, as well as for the beef brisket sandwich(with gravy!!). As for my previous review? I still have a gripe towards the awkward pricing. But maybe I’ll taste the pizza again sometime. If it still fails me, I’ll just stick to their sandwiches!
