Linda’s Wedding Studio

They actually changed their name again to Linda’s Wedding Studio. The dresses are torn, dirty and not fitting at all. They didn’t have a size for one of my bridesmaid and told her they wouldn’t order one in that size. The other 2 bridesmaid found only one dress that would be appropriate for the color scheme I was going with and it was a size 16 and they are a size 2. Their staff told me they can pin it down to a size to. The out door pictures were horrible. It only looks good at the sample books they show you. They kept telling me it was too early to pick my dress. So I went in a few days before (on Sunday before the wedding on Saturday) and they told me why I didn’t make an appointment. But yet I saw a dress hanging on reserve for someone whose wedding was 1 month after mines. So the other customer got to pick a dress before me. Day of wedding, they forgot to give me any accessories. The next day was to return everything and go on my honeymoon. They asked me for accessories which they did not even give me. Then they have the nerve to pull my husband aside and tell him we did not give a good enough tip. Serious. Your service is bad which is why you get a bad tip. They also promised me my full set of photos from outdoor and indoor. But they claimed the set from outdoor was lost and they would «look» for it. 3 months past and nothing. All they could say was we will give you a picture frame and one picture to compensate for it.

This place is terrible. We negotiated 5 dresses for the studio shoot, 4 for the wedding day, plus dresses for my 3 BM’s and my mom and the groom’s mom. On the day of the studio photo shoot they were able to come up with 4 dresses that fit me, but two of them were very dirty (one had a fake fingernail stuck to it!). For the wedding, we only used one dress out of the nine negotiated (4 for me, 2 for moms and 3 for BM’s). This is because their dresses are dirty, ripped and in bad condition, don’t fit, or some combination of the three. Every time we asked to come try on dresses and pick them out they kept saying it was too soon. About 6 weeks before the wedding I went with one of my BM’s and that is when we discovered they didn’t have dresses that would fit two of the BM’s or two of the dresses I needed in my size. We wound up going to David’s Bridal and getting everything last minute. (I know DB is often given a bad rap, but I have to say they really helped me out and didn’t charge for rush shipping or anything.) It was worth the cost of buying the dresses to have clean, decent looking things to wear, no matter how cheap this place is these dresses aren’t worth it, trust me!
The dress thing is just one example of how this place is terrible. They still haven’t even gotten our studio pictures done, which were supposed to be ready 3 months ago.
I could go on, but I think I’ve made my point.

The video guy (Sean) for my Chinese Banquet lost my video. He said it was «stolen» from his home along w/​other computer parts and hard drives and yet did not report it to the police. We were compensated (barely) for the missing video, but that does not account for the lost memories.
I would not recommend this place to anymore and would advise to stay away.

9−13−08: My parents live in NJ but they often venture to Flushing and Chinatown in NY for shopping and good food. My mom has been really excited for my up coming wedding and since I am really small and chinese, she thought a chinese wedding shop would have dresses that would fit me better. She scouted a couple of places that have dresses and studios and they assured her that they do sell dresses. I called and emailed in advance to make appointments but this place and another place (Tru Love) told me that none is needed and that they have plenty of stock to choose from. I live in Philadelphia and my friend drove from DC to pick me up, then we drove to NJ, and then finally to NY just to visit these 2 shops. When we got there, they told me that they never talked to me. And that they dont really sell dresses that are on hand. They told us to look through their catalogs and then they would order what we see from them. Then they told us that they would let us try on 2 dresses each and the 3^rd one and on would cost $ 10 each!!! They were non-​apologetic about deceiving us and basically told us to take it or leave it. I told them that I had called and emailed and drove so many hours just to see their dresses and intend to buy. They looked at my friend and I and said that they don’t have anything that would fit us anyways! My poor mom was so embarrassed. They basically just want traffic to come into their store. I am utterly disguested by their services and will tell all of my friends about this. They should be ashamed of themselves!
