Finally some quality pizza in an area where it seems every other corner is a $ 1-slice-shop. Worth the extra money. Excellent pizza and a variety of different options.

We stopped here every night after drinks just to order the cheese pizza. A bit over priced but still really good! This place stood out to me due to their tomato sauce. Whatever concoction they used to create the sauce won me over. I’m back in Houston dreaming about their sauces :/ It’s never crowded the times that I go and they’re open late as well.

New management. This place was great before… but not anymore! I called for takeout and the process to order a simple dish took so long that I even asked if it was new management and was told«no, just a new computer system.» When the chicken parmigiana came, it was about the size of a playing card. The side of garlic and oil linguini was tasteless and looked like it had been boiled for 2 days. My husband was so mad, he called to complain and was told it was under new ownership. It was not cheap. Won’t be returning. Save your money.

Reviewing based on delivery only — Just okay pizza, BBQ chicken pizza toppings were good but crust was dry and plain. While the garlic knots were good I wouldn’t order pizza from here again.

Ate here tonight and was impressed with both the service and quality of food. Two slices and a drink deal was great value and the staff was very friendly, helpful and not rushed.

I LOVE this place! The next time I am in NYC I am eating here. The food was wonderful! Best Italian food I have had in a very long time! It was a wonderful experience!

I called and ordered two personal pizzas and wings, the gentleman that took my order asked me to hold twice while he was taking my order. When the delivery man arrived with my order, he brought two large pizzas. I called Libretto’s and told them about the messed up order, they denied I ordered two personal pizzas. The man I spoke to over the phone was rude, he told me there’s nothing he can do about it. The delivery man left with the two pizzas and wings. I ordered this pizza for myself and my sister, we are both petite women, there’s no reason for me to order two large pizzas. I was willing to take one pizza but not two large pizzas. It is not my first time ordering at this restaurant, usually the service is good but today I’m very disappointed by the lack of customer service. They took the order and my money.

This is where I go for every day, great NYC pizza. There’s nothing that stands out about it vs other pizza joints but that’s not a bad thing. It serves a great version of the classic new york slice and the service is always fast and nice.

I found this place by chance, I was searching for a restaurant that deliver food near me. I ordered a balsamic chicken(2 boneless breast) come with a side(u choose it) I picked salad. Total 14:10(including Tax). I didn’t had a hope to get a great food but I got surprise by the amount of food and how the chicken well cooked and unbelievable delicious !! Will definitely re-order from here again

Nice pizza by the slice quite a few choices, pleasant atmosphere and fast service. For pizza it is «serve yourself» but they have a larger Italian menu.

Grabbed a slice of veggie and grandma’s pizza. Pizza was slightly undercooked which is a positive. Meaning that the thin pizza did not have a bit of burnt crust. I liked the taste. Sauce was good. Veggies were good. Services was good. The punch card, buy 10 slices, get one free is a nice add. I agree with the comments on price being a bit high. 2 slices was almost $ 8. Pretty pricey for a couple slices.

I frequently order from Librettos and the pizza is good, thin crust with Spinach and Ricotta or Pepperoni and Mushroom. They use fresh ingredients which is a plus. The three star review is mostly for the slices, the pizza does sit there for a while and even though they heat them up, it’s just not as good as a fresh pizza out of the oven. If you’re ordering a whole pie I’d highly recommend, but one or two slices are for a quick stop on the way home… not for the best pizza in NY.

Libretto’s is my go-to spot for ordering pizza. I wouldn’t necessarily eat in there, it’s nothing special but the food is great and very reasonably priced. The margarita pizza is delicious along with the garlic knots and mozzarella sticks. I have also ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and it was good! Definitely recommend for take out.

This pizza meets the NYC slice expectation. Not a place for ambience or frills, but if you want a slice of thin crust pizza, Libretto’s is good to go. Deserves better than it’s current Unilocal rating. I’ll caveat by saying I’ve only had two styles: pepperoni and crumbled Italian sausage with goat cheese. Both hit the spot. ADDED beny, they have a buy 10 slices get 1 free.

Libretto’s is my go to pizza restaurant near my office. They sell the usual Italian food but all I have ever eaten there is the pizza. It is small but has nice ambience. Like many New Yorkers entering a pizza joint I scope out the slice pies on offer to try to figure out which ones have recently come out of the oven before making my selection. This is a scientific process that entails close study of the condition of cheese, crust and peperoni. Libretto’s has pretty rapid turnover of pies so usually you wont get a bad slice. As far as pizza goes it is better than average in the Murray Hill area. There are far worse and few better. Some nearby establishments seem to sell pizza that was made when Bloomberg was still the mayor. The crust is nice and thin and the ingredients are fine. My big grievance with the place is there is a waitress who insists on putting«reserved» signs on just about every table in the place in an effort to block tables from the lowly slice eaters. This results in people being crowded together in the few open tables she has not bestowed with a sign or ultimately forced to get take out . Last winter during a snowstorm, she still had all of these dopey signs out when my colleague and I were the only customers and it was obvious the crowds were not rushing the place for a slice. It is just annoying and unwelcoming. If she had a reservations for these tables, I would have eaten my shoe!!! It is just overkill and should be significantly toned down if not eliminated. Advice to Libretto’s: Get rid of 90% of the stupid«reserved» signs for unreserved tables, the customers know what you are up to and don’t like it! Tip: They give you a free slice after you buy ten. Ask for the«frequent slice card!»

Libretto’s…how I love thee. It seems the shops and restaurants along 3rd avenue in the 30s have been around for years, while many shops and restaurants in the rest of the city tend to have a lot of changeover. Libretto’s on 36th and 3rd is no exception, and there’s good reason for it. While I’ve come for dinner before, it’s okay… but their lunch special is not to be argued with. It’s one of those tried and true mainstays that is always a great experience. Margaret, who generally works Mondays and Fridays knows her stuff, always provides attentive service, and is one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. Try the Rigatoni alla vodka — Libretto’s alla vodka sauce is decadent. The Chicken Marsala is my personal favorite — with just the right amount of flavor, mushrooms and pasta, it’s out of this world. Lunch always includes a side salad, complete with mixed greens, Parmesan cheese, tomatoes, and a light vinegarette. I also tried the garlic knots for the first time this visit, which were super doughy and so flavorful. Here’s to hoping that Libretto’s will continue to put smiles on many faces for years to come.

This is really good! So worth the walk from the west side to the east side! My bf insisted on eating here and kept commenting on how great the food is. He’s been here many times since he moved into NYC and for some reasons he says food is awesome on Wednesdays and Fridays. So lucky me, it’s Good Friday and I am off! The choice was pasta or Fogo de Chao… I can see how many would say: «What???». We hurried over to get the may raved plate rigatoni a la vodka and now I understand why! The sauce was pretty thick, with pieces of fresh tomato and other spices. Maybe I am crazy but I feel like it tasted a bit like mayo… and I love mayo so no problem there! The plate comes with no meat but I added some strips of breaded chicken and was good to go! Each of the lunches also includes a bread basket and a fresh salad but that didn’t stop me from ordering some garlic knots! When in Italy, get garlic knots! All three were pretty awesome side dishes to my meal. I honestly saw the value and worth for the meal. We also ordered the chicken marsala and it was quite delicious and had plenty of mushroom. Service was pretty quick and very nice. This is a great place to come any day for a great lunch, but beware, as delicious it is, it is also pretty heavy… I have been laying down for a few hours to regain the energy to write this review! :) I would not say this is a perfect date spot, maybe missing some charm in décor, but the food was darn good and the price was on point so who cares!
