Came here for lunch and I tried to put as little food on my plate as possible but it still came out to $ 12. I didn’t even care that much bc I was starving but when i sat down to eat it, EVERYTHING was cold and the food did not taste good at all. The fried chicken was dry, noodles were mushy and everything was just bad. I didn’t even finish. I had to grab a sandwich from McDonald’s to satisfy my hunger. Waste of money. Never again.

The food here is mediocre. The worst part about this place is the fact that their delivery boys can’t speak a word of English! Which means they don’t have a clue what you’re talking about when you hand them money and ask for change back. They also can’t even read who they’re delivering to. It’s absurd and extremely disconcerting when you work in a corporate office with quite a few employees and to have the delivery boy call up saying«delivery in the lobby»(which is clearly the only one liner his employers feel is necessary for this job) and when asked«delivery for who?» He has NO and I mean ZERO idea what I’ve just asked. So then we have to interrupt people and go on a hunt to see who ordered from Liberty because the delivery person can’t speak English and therefore certainly can’t read English so he can’t figure out who’s name is on that order. Just a warning to anyone ordering from here, good luck! My advice is go to Burger Heaven next door! The service and food there is fantastic!

Their salads are great. And a good price for choosing whichever topping you’d like– and they have MANY options.

I did not like this place at all! i asked for a bacon egg cheese with no ketchup and i got tons of ketchup! My 8 year old can make a better egg sandwich! Cheese was cold and they used one egg and one strip of bacon. The roll was very thick. i felt as if i was eating a ketchup sandwich. Stay away! If you walk a little bit more you will find anything better than this place!

STAYAWAY! Slimy lunch meat, dingy looking place from the outside and it does not get better while inside. If you want to take a shot be prepared to get a hepatitis shot shortly after.

I work right next to this place and kept telling myself I would try it someday. Well i finally tried it. and it was all right. I was really craving some french fries, so I ordered them and also asked for the turkey club sandwich. I then went to the register and paid for my meal which came out to $ 10.75. I thought it would be cheaper, but it’s really not much more than what I usually pay for lunch. When they brought my food out, they included chips, a pickle, and told me I could get a drink. Oh! I really didn’t want the combo. I just wanted the sandwich, but apparently you can’t do that. So I paid extra for the lays potato chips and canned drink that I didn’t even want. So that was lame. Other than that, the sandwich was really good. The french baguette was fresh, crunchy on the outside, chewy and soft on the inside. The turkey, bacon and avocado hit the spot. They put a little too much mayo on for my liking, but that’s just me. The fries were typical diner style, but they were the perfect blend of crispy and mushy. I enjoyed them. My meal was good. I didn’t have any complaints, other than that I wish I could have just paid for the sandwich and not gotten the whole combo. Oh well. I’ll probably be back again. They have OK — decent food at great prices(for midtown). I saw they have a large salad with a protein and 3 add-ins plus a lemonade for $ 6, as well as the 2 slice and a soda deal for $ 5. Not bad.

I went in there about a week or so ago for breakfast craving an omelet, with bacon on a roll and an orange juice. The guy takes my order, heats up the bacon on the grill, then reaches over to a container, gets a PREMADEOMELET and heats it up. REALLY? How hard is it to make an omelet per order? Did you really think I wasn’t going to notice you not cracking any eggs, or hear you whisking them? The other reason not to eat here are the prices. Way too expensive for PREMADEOMELET and orange juice. No, I’m not mad … OK yes I am, even till today thinking about it. HOWDOYOUMESSUPANOMELETORDER? (ask that guy behind the breakfast counter)

I gave this place a couple trys, but it hasn’t gotten any better. I only come here when I want a salad and my go-to places have stopped serving or I don’t feel like walking there(this is very close to my office). I will not be back, though. The salads have yet to be fresh and they DRENCH them in dressing. I’m not a huge dressing person to begin with, so I always ask for a little, but they never listen and when I say«that’s good,» they don’t listen to that either. The last time I was here, I almost told him to remake it. I wish I had. The workers are friendly, but if you can’t provide fresh food or listen to instruction, then not worth my money.

If you like to pay a lot of money for food that’s stale and always in the state of *not-fresh, then be my guest. I hate this place– the first time I came, I had a baked ziti– ziti so soggy that it resembles the texture of congee, sauce so horrible that I would have paid money so that I wouldn’t have had to put it in my mouth. Second time, needed something to eat quick. Thought maybe I’d give it another chance– got a Chicken Caesar wrap(can’t go wrong with that right? wrong.) THEWORSTCHICKENCAESARWRAP I’VEEVERHADINMYENTIRELIFE. GOSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. 7.50FORSTALE, OLD, DRYPEPPEREDCHICKEN, WITHSTALEPITA, ANDFREAKINGSOGGYLEFTOVERLETTUCE. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH

«…you always order the special, with the hot chocolate. My manager be tripping and stuff, talkin bout we gotta use water but I always use some cream for you… because I think you’re kind of sweet.» — Alicia Keys, You Don’t Know My Name The addition of cream turns hot chocolate from an ordinary drink to an luxurious indulgence. The fact that Liberty Deli uses cream in their hot chocolate is a winner for me. Add to that fantastic bialys where no one blinks an eye if my friend asks for it burnt, strawberry lemonade, and a location convenient to our hotel and whatever jaunt we had for the day and bottom line, I’ve got no complaints about Liberty Deli. Would I go out of my way? No. If I worked near here or stayed at the Waldorf again, hell yea. This isn’t fine dining, but for what it is it works.

This place gets a bad rap from people in my office but it makes some pretty good stuff. The pizza here is some of my favorite around. Lots of flavor and very crispy. I’d recommend the spicy chicken. The mushroom looks a little iffy so I’d stay away from it. I haven’t had any of their other lunch food so I can’t really comment on it. For breakfast, the bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel is good. Personally, Ess a Bagel is better but this is right next to my office and unbelievably convenient in the morning. Obviously you aren’t going to get a stellar breakfast for $ 3 so you have to temper your expectations a bit.

Got a flyer from these people coming out of the train… was so excited! $ 3.25(after tax/tip) for eggs/homefries; pancakes; french toast! whoo~! Decent lunch meal for $ 6.50! Methinks not… Hash browns, those babies from the good ‘ol days of school lunch… half-way between cooked… could have used more time in the fryer/oven/however it’s heated up. The eggs were ok, got them sunny-side up by accident instead of over easy. Darn these bleary eyed mornings! Toast was a little on the soggy side… could also have used slightly more time in the toaster. Was thinking of trying out their soup/sandwich combo earlier, but as of right now, I’m very, very afraid.
