*CHECKYOURRECEIPTSBEFOREYOULEAVETHESTORE* *WASCHARGEDFORSOMETHING I DIDNOTBUYANDTHEYWILLNOTGIVEMYMONEYBACK* I am giving two stars for service, not for the quality of the bagels. Since moving to NYC6 months ago, I’ve eaten Leo’s pretty frequently. Good quality bagels, very generous with the cream cheese. By far my favorite bagel place in NYC. My most recent experience at Leo’s was disappointing and frustrating to say the least. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I bought a bagel with cream cheese, bagel sandwich, and one rugelach cookie in store. The cashier was harried, and quickly rang us up. My boyfriend then noticed that we charged from a premium french onion soup. I brought my receipt to the cashier, who noticed, and said«Oh I accidentally charged you for a soup.» I asked her if she could undo the charge and she kept saying«one sec,» Patiently standing on the side of the crowded store, we waited for the entire line to get served before reminding her of her accidental charge. Again, «one sec.» Finally, after the third time asking her, she told us we could leave the store and she would fix it later. Assured by the fact that she had taped the receipt next to the cash register, we left. Today, I still noticed the charge on my credit card. I tried calling Leo’s and they told me I would have to go in store to get this charge fixed. Since I work 11 hours every day, I told them I do not have time to go in. Considering that the cashier accidentally charged me for something I didn’t buy, I am extremely disappointed by the efforts i had to go through to try to get my money back — which I still have not so far. My warning to everyone — check your receipt after they ring you up and do NOT leave the store until they remedy the situation(even if that means bothering the cashier 4x for her mistake).

I really like the food here. Leo’s has very good bagels, and TONS of options. I recommend going for breakfast, which they stop serving at 1:00 on weekdays, and 2:00 on the weekends. My only problem with Leo’s is that I have received bad customer service on multiple occasions. Still, it’s worth a try.

Very convenient location in FIDI. This is the quintessential NYC bagel shop. Small, busy, and delicious! Fresh bagels, and a ridiculous amount of cream cheese flavors to satisfy and palate. The pricing is decent, you could definitely find cheaper bagels but I promise you the quality wont be as great. The bagels are large and tasty. Lots of drink options. Unfortunately the seating options are slim to none and the place is quite small so don’t except to eat-in. Defeintly worth a visit if you are in the area or want to try some place new.

A complete NY bagel experience! Love this place. My cousin came to town and asked for a NY bagel — he wanted the experience of NYC along with authentic NY tastes. Leo’s did not disappoint! The bagels are fresh, so many cream cheese options and a ton of ways to have your eggs, chicken, pastrami and other toppings for a good breakfast sandwich. The line moves fast. The place is small, but does have a couple window seats. It’s close enough to grab some grub and go sit along the water on the piers near the seaport.

Leo’s What can be said about Leo’s. Great bagels, large selection of options with the cream cheeses, nice vibe and atmosphere. But like the others before me… it seems that the counter guys don’t listen to what the customer is asking for. I asked for the olive cream cheese but got the regular instead even though I had the guy repeat the order to me. Foolishly I left because I was in a rush and didn’t check the bag before I left. So if you want a great bagel go to Leo’s but check the bag before you leave.

Leo’s Bagel, a small take-out bagel place hidden on Hanover Sq between Pearl and Beaver Street, is one of the best bagel joint in FiDi. Like many said, it’s pricy but everything else in FiDi is pricy too so I would rather pay $ 4 something for a Leo’s Bagel than paying $ 3.50 for a ham and egg on a roll at a deli. Do expect a line to form all the way outside of the store depending on what time you get there in the morning. I usually get there around 7:20am and the line usually is not bad but any time later, and you’ll be standing outside the door. If you are new to this place, here’s a tip: You order first then head over to pay and then they’ll give you your food. I’ve seen people standing in front of the cashier for a long time wondering why their order is not being taken. The people making your order could probably use some customer service training but all in all, you really don’t have to interact with them that much so it doesn’t bother me. Once you survived all that madness, you’ll be rewarded with a giant bagel, probably twice the size of a regular bagel with enough cream cheese spread for another 2 bagels. But hey you get what you paid for! My favorite is the Everything Bagel with either Scallion Cream Cheese or Veggie Cream Cheese. Note: This place gives you real veggies in your cream cheese so you will actually get chucks of scallion or roast red pepper or Jalapenos, another reason why the cost is higher here but it makes for one damn fine bagel. The bagel is always fresh, with a little crust on the outside and super tender and chewy on the inside. The cream cheese is fluffy, smooth and super creamy(warning to those who are lactose), and those veggies adds the perfect texture to the creamy yet plain cream cheese spread. Price: $ 4.30(as of Jan 2016) for an Everything Bagel with Scallion/Veggie Cream Cheese. Pricy but you do get what you pay for. A quality bagel that can feed two people. Overall: Probably best bagel in FiDi. Definitely not for those who are on a diet, the size of the bagel and the amount of cream cheese they give is almost ridiculous. Fresh and tasty bagel to start your morning right!

Pricey, but good. Bagel with Chicken Salad, Naked Juice Drink and Bagel with Turkey, Tomato and Cream Cheese, $ 25. Sometime you may have to wait on the line out the door. Note: Check the expiration date on their juices and yogurts. I regularly see juices/milks/yogurts that are expired.

The product was hot, toasted, warm, delicious nothing out of the ordinary. The cashier was either new or was having an off day; she didn’t give me a coffee I order, so she gave me one and didn’t charge that was nice of her and reflected good credit upon her coworkers and the brand she represents.

Small, yet busy, bagel shop near Wall St. Good bagles, H and H is better, with variety of good cream cheeses. There are no tables, just a bar with four stools, so seating is very limited. My husband wasn’t impressed with the coffee either. My everything bagel with olive cream cheese was much better than his everything with scallion cream cheese. I’d go there again if in the area, but if you can go uptown try G and H Bagels near the MET.

Service here gives me anxiety. They get my order wrong almost every time since usually always talking to each other rather than the customers. The bagels as full, large but some are a little too large and just taste bland. The cream cheese flavors can also take plain too. I find the Veg is bland and Jalepeno is hit and miss.

They aren’t on Seamless anymore but they do deliver via EatStreet. Just like when they were on Seamless, order at 9:30 am on a Sunday morning at 10:30 they call you and tell you they’re out of Lobster Salad. I only order from them FOR the Lobster Salad. If this is a recurrent theme at 10:30(an hour after placing the order) maybe you’d THINK someone in mgmt would a) make more Lobster Salad b) hire more staff to deal with the anemic service. And, the chick on the phone is rude azzzzz balllllzzzz That’s all for now.

The Financial District can be rather disappointing when it comes to food. It’s a whole lot of chains that are only open during work hours. However, every once and a while you find a gem. Leo’s Bagels is a gem. The bagels are fantastic, but all the options to stuff inside them are even better. I would recommend a bagel with cream cheese adding bacon tomato and avocado. It’s only $ 6, and it’s two meals. Stop by Leo’s if you find yourself in the FiDi!

I was in town visiting and really wanted to get a bagel and lox for breakfast. I wouldn’t say that this visit was a happy visit. Yes the food was average. My experience in the shop was not so great. I ordered my food and went to check out and the cashier completely rung up the wrong order after telling her what exactly I ordered. Not knowing that I didn’t pay the correct amount, when I went to pick up my food a different guy said that I owe more money and made it seem like it was completely my fault and it was such a burden on him that he had to deal which fixing what his coworker messed up. I was ok paying the correct amount however they didn’t take the blame instead they made it seem like it was my fault. They’re lacking some customer service.

The bagels here are large and typical NYC. Crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Lots of spreads, meats and smoked fish. There is usually a line because this place is such a staple for so many here in the FiDi district. Pure NYC joy.

I stood in line, ordered the nova salmon special on an everything bagel. I asked for everything except lettuce. He asked if I wanted onions and capers and I said yes. I got cream cheese, salmon and tomato. It was good but needed the onion and a bit more cream cheese. The last bites were without cheese and kinda sad. I very much appreciated the flavor and texture of the bagel itself. The everything bagel has seasonings on both sides and is the stuff of which dreams are made. Next time, I’ll ask for extra cream cheese, ensure they put the onion and capers on it and I’m sure it’ll be a 5-star bagel. Also, the cashier REALLY didn’t want to be there. Or help anyone. Or smile. Or give me my order. I watched the guy I ordered it from hand it to her and tell her it was a salmon bagel and she yelled out ‘everything with tomato.’ I knew it was mine, so I just went and got it. I ate at the counter inside, which was crowded by the line, but it was ok.

I am a fan. The bagels here are extremely large, thick, and flavorful. The texture is also on point: just the right amount of chewiness. I especially liked the garlic bagel with their famous scallion cream cheese. Ordering delivery from here is extremely easy: I called the night before for 1.5 dozen bagels the next morning and everything was taken care of properly and efficiently. Also, tip to others in FiDi trying to order bagels: basically no other reputable bagel shops will deliver here so Leo’s is definitely a great alternative! Prices were a little higher than some of the other bagel places I looked at, but overall reasonable(and definitely okay for FiDi). Overall a positive experience!

Leo’s bagel may be a tiny shop, but their bagels are fresh, thick and delicious! The everything and garlic bagels were softly chewy and the add-ons of bacon and cheese were super generous(about an inch tall of stacked bacon). Although generous, the bacon was lukewarm(probably made earlier in the morning) and the cheese wasn’t googey/melty as I hoped for. I really wanted an egg with my bacon and cheese, but disappointedly they were out of eggs(HOWCANTHEYBEOUTOFEGGSON A THURSDAYMORNING?!). I think the kitchen just wasn’t big enough to accommodate for all the add-ons that required extra cooking. On another note, their scallion cream cheese went really well with the garlic bagel, as the creamy and fluffy cream cheese was oozing out of the doughy bagel. I would recommend just sticking with the bagels and cream cheese at Leo’s. FYI, don’t fear the line! It may go out the door, but it moves relatively quick!

Leo’s Bagel NY Manhattan FiDi 11am BagelSunday 10th May 2015 Four Stars There was a small line to order. I had my classic Toasted Everything a Bagel with Bacon, Egg, and Cheese($ 6). The bagel was huge and tasted like a traditional NY Bagel. The seasoning was on both sides. A nice outer crust and dough-y inside. The bacon was salty and crispy. The eggs were alright. The cheese wasn’t melted. I split another everything bagel with Grant. They give you a lot of cream cheese. The jalapeño CC was kind of chunky, not so spicy but a nice complement to the creaminess of the spread. Overall, a delicious hangover breakfast.
