Overall — unimpressed(while I will preface this with the fact that my review is only for the salad bar). After trying to make some semblance of the mess of people standing between the salad and sandwich lines, I attempted to place my order with the extremely distracted employee who walked away several times in the middle of making my salad. My salad ended up being barely ¾ of the way full, with very little of each of the toppings I picked out, and still ended up being $ 12(grilled chicken, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers and cranberries). When I went to pay I expressed my concern with how little was in the container for how expensive of a chopped salad I was purchasing and the woman ringing me up was overall just very rude and did not seem to care about solving my issue. Safe to say I won’t be coming back for lunch again any time soon.

Had the vegetarian sandwich that was supposed to be on 5 grain but turned up on rye to which I am allergic. Mostly carrots and lettuce, had to hunt for the avocado.

chicken soup is good but a little on the salty side. hazelnut coffee(and their mochaccino) is the bomb diggity. great sandwiches. please don’t buy anything that isn’t fresh(for example don’t buy their pastries or bagels, unless you’re in a real rush – but i know a bagel with cream cheese is pretty cheap at lenny’s compared to a regular bagel shop…) prices are a little steep but it’s to be expected. you’re in midtown!

#1 Leftwich is good but other sandwiches are just okay. Used to go there too for salad but realized it is overpriced(you can get better at almost half the price at Amish Market or Whole Foods).

Very good sandwhicheS Stuffed with a lot of cold cuts in them unlike subway that gives you one razor thin slice

Around 8pm there are no customers and the employees joke with each other. They ignore you and when another customer comes, of course her salad is prepared first. The signs say order at the front, but she does not have to but I do. I order a sandwich and it’s done pretty quickly, but the front girl ignores the delivered sandwich even though I’m standing there eager to get out of the place. She finishes chatting with her colleague and then puts the sandwich in the bag and gives it to me. I get home and the bread is not rye what I ordered.

I go here mostly out of convenience as it’s near my apartment. That being said, they do a decent sandwich. They’re never going to blow your mind with their flavors, but they consistently deliver a good product. Sometimes they’re too slow especially when the restaurant isn’t crowded but overall its a decent place for a quick bite.

Me and a buddy stumbled in here to pick up a sandwich for someone and decided to try it ourselves. I ordered a Lenwich from the gentleman at the counter and he replies«a number 1?» I say yes and he says, «that comes with a Lenwich». That was the warning sign i clearly ignored. Once you order they put your ticket in a bag on the counter(even if you want to dine there) and wait for another employee to bring it to them when its ready. There were only 3 customers in the shop and almost 10 employees but somehow this guy cannot remember who ordered what or even if you ordered at. I walk to the back to watch what seems to be my Lenwich aka as the #1 be made. 10 minutes go by and they chef has finished the sandwich. Naturally I walk to the front to pick up my sandwich only to see no sandwich just the tickets in the bags. I ask the guy, «can you check on a Lenwich for me?» He stares at me blankly until I say a #1. So he looks down at the ticket in the bag reads it and then says«oh no its not ready yet», we made eye contact when he said that to me and I am 100% percent sure I saw myself as a infant playing in his eyes. After writing him off I ask a women in the back about my sandwich and she searched some buckets or bags back there and found it. Then took it to our friend up front and guess what he asks, «did you order a Lenwich»?. Please take my advise and just donate directly to the organizations they hire from so these guys can get more life training before they are put out into the work force.

Great, but not quite superb. Sandwich could have come with fries or at least potato chips or something. Excellent atmosphere.

My favorite place for a sandwich in the area. Always prepared fresh and the coffee is great too. If they had wifi it would be perfect.

Decent food but come on! You charge .25 to toast a bagel? Really?

2 stars for convenience/location. The rest is downhill. If you show up anytime after 3 pm, you will find they almost always run out of different bagels and bread. This happens all the time and I have seen this happen often when other customers request a certain bread too. They also run out of small coffee cups all the time, forcing you to order a medium/large. Most places will give you the medium/large size for the price of a small in this case, but not this place. Coffee is decent. I didn’t like the hazelnut flavor. It tasted like chemicals. The woman overflowed my iced coffee so much that I could not take the lid off without coffee spilling everywhere. The staff will sit and chat with one another and finish their conversations before tending to a line of customers. Food prep is slow. I purposely order cold cut sandwiches to reduce wait time, but still end up waiting ten minutes as one of two people inside the store. Last but not least, they openly gossip about customers when the customer walk out the door. Let’s face it, we ALL do this, but behind the counter isn’t the place to do it. I don’t want to overhear them talking about the«weird» guy that just walked out.

Instructions to staff from management: Blast music as loud as possible so that you can’t hear the customer’s orders. Don’t worry if you don’t understand part of an order. Write down whatever you want because the people in the back will ignore it anyway. Your personal issues(conversations, cell phones, distractions) take precedence over dealing with customers. Don’t be concerned about a line. They will wait until you are finished. Keep working on preparation of sandwiches and salads for the next meal. Ignore the customers who have already paid and are waiting for their orders. Summary: Reasonable but expensive food. Miserable service and environment.

Pretty good sandwiches. I have had Lenny’s a few times at work and was not impressed. It was because I was letting others choose my sandwich for me because I really did not know what to have. Now that I had the chance to look over all my choices and make a sound choice … I have found a good one. #8!

Close enough to the old apartment. Perfect for a quick bite. Cashiers are usually friendly and quick. It can get really packed in here at times. Especially for breakfast and lunch. Foods OK. It’s fresh, but don’t expect your taste buds to jump for joy. They offer bagels, soups, salads, sandwiches, etc. They have a nice selection of bottled drinks, which is convenient. Perfect to grab and go. Seating is available. Restroom is in the back. Employees are friendly. They always gather in a large group during their break time and sit in the back of the restaurant. I miss waving to them through the window on my way to the M15.

Great sandwiches. Their chicken noodle soup was also surprisingly good — has real chicken! I had the sandwich with coleslaw, turkey and corned beef. All really good!

I used to go here all the time because I go to the nearby gym. This location is OK, kind of small and usually basically clean. Service is also OK, but I haven’t tried anything here that really stands out. However, I do think the food tastes much better than comparable chain places like Subway. Price is about the same too, so I prefer to go here. On the other hand, I usually only come here for breakfast, so I don’t know much about the lunch menu.

Dropped in here yesterday for a sandwich before hitting up the Cigar Inn across the street for a birthday smoke. When you’ve been to one Lenny’s you have pretty much been to them all. It’s just a solid place to grab a sandwich and they have many combo’s to choose from. Yes, it is a NYC chain sandwich shop, a little better then Subway and a few others, but nothing super amazing either. Just a good spot if you are craving a decent sandwich or wrap. With more than enough healthy options to choose from there is no problem building a healthy meal. Grilled chicken sandwich on toasted 7-grain bread with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and deli mustard along with a diet soda. I love deli mustard, which helps a pretty boring sandwich become tolerable. Pretty easy to make a sandwich the way you want it here. This location is clean and the counter staff is quick too, as I had no problem with my order. Now that winter is over I need to start eating cleaner. I do loved grilled chicken, but boy I am going to get tired of it!
