Lehman College Underground Lounge

The food is usually good. The soups, the pasta station and the burrito bowl are my favorites. But I have felt sick before once. Had the pre-​packed salami sandwich. I suggest getting a fresh sandwich made.

Does a sparrow flee it’s nest in lue of a light winter. If it’s inherent that he understands a tepid season cometh why does he leave and venture? Combating the ideals in which he fought to maintain and possibly rectify stout and grounded within the Oaks of the Lehman Campus. I am a hawk, or a condor but those who eat here are sparrows. For that I feel distraught for those who purchase huge mark up meals filled with gluten, processed material and all G M O. That is not the Bronx Bombers or the Bushwick boys, the Lehman Campus is affiliated to this lounge if you will and flock to it without wings but desperation. Because they the students should understand when to flee their nests. Don’t touch the sushi, form an alliance with the 4.50 dollar NAKED drink or worst of all drop your coin in the cauldron of this so called Café.

So this place has its upsides and downsides, but it’s a great alternative to walking out to Jerome for food. They open «on the dot» or a bit after, but never before. I actually walked in once two minutes prior to the official starting time, and the ladies were none to happy about my presence. Breakfast can be slow depending on the cook, as with most meals here actually.
The cuisine ranges from burger stations to Asian to pizza to salads to wraps. The one stop shop option is pretty great when you have only 45 minutes for lunch. The coffee is decent, but I would suggest the Harmony in Campbell Hall for actual Starbucks coffee. And they have sushi as well.
The lines can get pretty time consuming depending on the day and hour, but such is the price for variety.

good food for solid prices it has gotten better over the last couple of years. they charge tax on everything you purchase which is annoying but hey they have to pay their employees. best for you to go to bedford blvd but in the winter no one is gonna take that walk

They actually have decent food!
I’m attending the school now and I’m pretty impressed with their food: pizza, a grill station, sushi, salads and more.
Probably one of the better options in Bedford Park, oddly enough!

The Lehman college underground lounge is the best place on campus to get food. It offers a great variety of options, including: a grill bar, sushi, pizza, salads, subs, Chinese food and a burrito station. For us with vegetarian/​pesceterian diets there are a couple of options to choose from. Here are a few of my favorite:
–roasted vegetable sandwich from the sub station
–lo mein with grilled tofu from the Chinese food station
–soup of the day! There are usually 2 options. One with meat and the other vegetarian or vegan friendly
–naked burrito! Try it with peppers, cilantro rice, pinto beans, pico de gallo, corn, salsa, sour cream and cheese
–veggie burger from the grill station. I think the bean one is the best
–grilled cheese with tomatoes from the grill station
One important thing to keep in mind is that if the cooks have the ingredients to make something that is not on the menu, they usually will (just be nice!)
