Le Gamin Truck

Mmmm. After sauntering around the sunny GAP greenmarket and picking up fruits, vegetables, meats, and bread for the week, there’s nothing better than breakfast at the Le Gamin truck.
The Nutella crêpe is the best I have had outside of Paris. Also a fan of the lamb hot dog, made with caremelized onions and slightly spicy. Fabulous!
Although…I saw at least two mothers feeding their toddlers crepes. A bit much for me. Spoiled youth, rejoice!

There are plenty of food trucks to follow on Twitter, but only one will sweep you off your feet with dreamy Frenglish tweets that somehow seem to be written just for YOU, and that is @legamintruck. Let me give you some examples:

Do you see now why I am so freaking in love with le truck? After a week of this mad seduction, I set off in search of the source of all that beautiful twittering, and came away with a beautiful ham & swiss crêpe ($ 7). This crêpe was made with so much love and care, there is no doubt in my mind that my crêpe-​maker was also my Twitterer. At one point, he scooped up a small pat of butter and gently spread it over the top of the crêpe, a gesture done with so much tenderness I very nearly melted right there and then.
I managed to hold it together, though, even when I was sent on my way with a smooth «Bön appetit». I carried my crêpe to the park and was instantly transported to the Jardin de Luxembourg… this crêpe, so savory and perfect, was everything I hoped for and expected from my Twitter crush. Le Gamin Truck, je t’aime!!!
