The staffer(presumably eponymous) was so friendly that I feel terrible tossing a 1 her way, but the two $ 4.50 slices(cannoli cake and red velvet cake) were downright horrendous(bland and thin frosting, dry and dense cake). To add to the charming experience, they had rowdy ‘worshippers’ making a ruckus outside around 6ish(when it states she closes), and it seemed like she was on the verge of closing and fine liquidating supply, which may explain why she closed the door behind me and barely even glanced at the Amazon Local voucher before handing product over essentially for free. PS there’s a free cookie flyer on counter, and another for Harlem Eatup, which she explained on my way out.

When it comes to old fashion treats, Lady Lexis Sweets is the place to be. Their banana pudding and bread pudding is superb! Just how my momma use to make it. The owners are super friendly and the bakery shop has a home-like feel. Lady Lexis Sweets is my current go-to bakery in Harlem.

The store is run by a mom n daughter. The mom is very unprofessional. She’s rude. I walk in w/groupon n bought some slices of red velvet cake, when my wife n I ate then then that night(1 – 2 hrs later), we were extremely disappointed. They were stale, when I called the next day to return I was told to come in. I brought w/me the funky cake back n the mom(calls herself doctor, may b witch doctor) started screaming at me n saying how dare I bring this back. I should had said how dare u sell me n charge me 4stale cake. screaming at me, she said that she did not have to give me anything in return for the bad goods n that it was up to her discretion. I never raise my voice n was respecful from start to finish .She also runs a side biz that’s not related to the baking. I would not waste my time again, even if it’s a groupon.

The red velvet cake is to die for. Not to sweet, moist and decadent. Peanut butter cookies are awesome. Definitely my go to place for deserts. The owner has a very pleasant spirit. I would recommend to everyone.

The Woman that took care of me was helpful, pleasant, and nice… but, that’s where it stalls for me. A Sampler Box valued at $ 10(according to their Groupon) has ONE of each available flavor of cookie. My 10 buck sampler box had what would be the equivalent of a pack of Oreos, unfortunately, not as good. The Stalest thing i ever knowwwwnnn *Lauren Hill voice*. Good Luck ya’ll. Alot of up and coming bakers in the area.

Very bright and colorful. The shop has a lot of character and the owners are very helpful. My favorite are the cookies, but there are an array of other treats to try out. I haven’t tried the trail mixes yet, but it’s nice that they offer healthy alternatives! You can also make cake orders which I plan to do for my next party.

they are very friendly and seemingly super excited about their recent opening. its cool when a business owner is in a good mood. 3 stars for that. the cookies were ok too but I feel like more time and money should have been invested in the bakery’s appearance & décor and the quality of the baked goods. While Im sure they were good when taken out of the oven, most things are stale/hard. Lexis is VERY new, I wish them all the best & hope they do well & realize that writing fake reviews is no substitute for a quality product/service. Yes, we can tell.
