Great little wine shop. They’re not going to have the massive selection that a store two or three times the size can accommodate, but from what I can tell, they make it a point to squeeze quality wines into that small space.
I’m no wine expert, so don’t take my advice too seriously. But I am starting to be able to get a feel for what makes a wine store a good one. On the two visits I’ve made here, both times, the employees were able to answer my questions. If you ask me, you can often tell when someone doesn’t know what they’re talking about, because they get a little hesitant before they answer each one of your questions. None of that happened here.
In one instance, in which I asked the associate which of 2 Gruner-​Veltliners they would recommend for someone with a drier palate, they were honest enough to recommend the lower-​priced one. I have respect for that. They also carry a Chenin Blanc for about $ 10 (if my memory serves correct), and it tastes like a much higher-​quality wine. I can’t complain one bit about the prices here.
The people who work here are very friendly. On my second visit, a gentleman gave me all of the contact information when I asked about the possibility of getting a case of my favorite wine shipped to the store.
My favorite thing about this wine store is that it’s open late. I am usually tied up with other obligations until about 9:00 PM whenever I’m in that area, and that is just about the same time most wine stores are closing. It’s good to know that there’s a store in the area I can go to where I’m not just settling for a wine I can tolerate, but one where there are wines available that suit my preferences to a T.

These guys get a 5 star from me because they’re always incredibly friendly, helpful, and their delivery service is top notch. They have a great selection of vinos across all price ranges. It’s such a great neighborhood shop!

Great little wine store by West 4^th. The staff is nice, always ready with a recommendation and the selection is pretty decent. Came here again last weekend and the young man was able to offer up several different suggestions based on our cravings. Of the 3 bottles purchased, we absolutely loved one (other 2 were okay) and will definitely be back for that delicious discovery!
The staff was nice, ready to help but also happy to let us browse until we were ready to ring out.

They offer tastings almost every evening and are pretty knowledgeable. They have an interesting selection of domestic wines from lesser known regions (ie Detroit, Virginia, Southern Ca, Arizona, Canada)
I saw a great Cakebread Cellars selection and a Chateauneuf du Pape for $ 43
For you Rosé lovers, they have shelves of them in the middle aisle of the store.
I live in the neighborhood but haven’t had the chance to browse. Will definitely be returning!

La Vid is a great new addition to the Village. The service is fantastic. Not only are the employees willing to help you make a choice based on your preferences, but the owner is as well! They have a nice selection, are willing to order particular bottles if they don’t have them stocked, and have bottles friendly to all budgets (plus– free delivery!). La Vid changes their selection based on the season, so you can always find something perfect to drink. The spirit selection is super unique as well. Tastings are every day at 5pm, so stop in before you catch the train at West 4^th!

Picture this: Sunday night, St. Patricks Day. You haven’t been out all weekend, your boyfriend just gets home from a long 5 hour drive, and you plan to go across the street and grab a bottle of wine to accompany your take-​out dinner, as everyone and every place else in your neighborhood is a hot mess due to the holiday. Well, I am very very sad to say, we showed up at this place, 15 minutes before closing. The space was already locked, whoever was closing up was there + working + would NOT come to the door to let us in, although it was a quarter to nine. A terrible business practice in any instance, and certainly foolish for St Pattys day. (I’ll mention that we hadn’t had a lick of alcohol all day, so I wasn’t a reveler looking to get more of a heat on.) We picked up our food down the street, and I was upset enough, that when we walked by again, and I knocked on the window at precisely 9pm when it was supposed to close, two young gentlemen came to the window, would not unlock the door, and again motioned us away. I have lived in this neighborhood for 15 years, live across the street, and needless to say will go out of my way to never frequent this place again. As a side note– have been in here half a dozen times before, and although the prices were high for what they were, I was always perfectly pleased to pay the premium for the convenience to have the late hours. Apparently the hours are no longer late: no more.

I have also waited for reviews to roll in on this lovely wine shop with outstanding service, so signed up to Unilocal just to do it myself. This is your new neighborhood shop. no questions asked: wines and spirits at every price, locally sourced varieties (did you know they made gin in Brookyn??), and free delivery. But what really puts it over the top is the excellent service. They will assist you in finding a beautiful bottle at any price and put a smile on your face. This is a business you want to support!

I noticed this new wine shop in the village and I took advantage of its late hours over the weekend. The selection is pretty decent as well as the prices. Location is definitely convenient so I can see it being a good go-​to wine shop.
