The food was horrible… I will never go back here again. I went here in uniform(while working) and they immediately began to chit chat and ignore me and my partners. I’d ordered the Cubano sandwitch,(sweet) plaintains, and a grape soda. The only GREAT thing I had was the soda. The Cubano bread wasn’t toasted just flattened and doused in garlic spread, the cheese was old and the pork was way dry. The plaintains or maduro was dry. Not sweet no flavor and no Greece. I will never step foot again here don’t waste your time or money here.

Was in the neighborhood with a friend and decided to drop in. I ordered Chicharron de Pollo with Tostones: was plentiful and yes it was chicharron: 3 stars, tostones: 4 stars. Wish for quality not quantity. My friend ordered Shrimp Quesadillas and Linguini with Shrimp: quesadilla: 3 stars. Linguini with Shrimp was one of the worst dishes I have ever seen in my life — and I’ve cooked a few in my lifetime… the Shrimp were okay but the linguini — I dare anyone to order this dish and see for yourselves. To give you a clear picture. the linguini was/looked identical to chef boyardees, but tasted not as good. It was a clear tell tell sign that something was wrong when the length of each strand of «the linguini» was an inch and a half long… I would pay $ 1 for the linguini… the Shrimp $ 10 but not $ 23. Which is what they are charging for the worst dish I’ve ever seen in my life. I dare anyone to order this dish. Overcooked pasta by 10 minutes… either that or it was zapped in the microwave for 20 minutes… I think they were thinking of mash potatoes when cooking the pasta. or mangoo. Mash pasta… excellent. Beers where really cold and good. Service was good. I guess the point is don’t order pasta here. all else is okay. But just for the fact that they dare to serve that pasta they really deserve 0 stars. Just take the dish off the menu… unless you’re going to leave it on the menu and name it the«Mikey likes it dish» — as we all know the kids under 3 years old love this type of linguini. Shame on you.

on Sunday memorial day week, we were looking for a place to eat and we stop at this place. Their was no wait. We were seated in the middle table we are a party of five didn’t fit and the air conditioner was straight in our face. We took it upon ourselves to move another table. The music was loud not sure we were at a dance club or dinner on the Sunday night. We ordered chicken chunks white rice and beans, Shrimp mofongo, And a seafood pasta. What’s the food arrives the chicken was hard. The seafood pasta was in good at all.

If you’re going to get take out, it’s great but to sit and eat there– never again. The only reason it’s getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because the food is actually really good. Waited 55 min for our food to come to our table. Never again. Take out only.

I ordered chuletas(Pork) and they were not great at all. It took me like 10 mins to cut off a piece. I also ordered the chuletas with rice and beans. The beans had no flavor! I didn’t even finish my food because all the struggle to cut up the pork wasn’t worth it. I had a morisoñando, which was the best thing I had all night. They had some really nice entertainment. I suggest you go for the drinks and entertainment instead of the food. I personally don’t think I will be coming back her till they improve their food. Their food is cheap but it’s not good.

The food is really good at this place. The roasted chicken is a must have, one of the best in the neighborhood, the bistec had a great taste .The service is fast and the waitress was very polite. Would definitely come back

Great food but they need to hire some better people to take orders. Every time I call they always have a problem taking down my order and none of them seem to know how to speak English. Get better staff please

I have a secret love affair with chicken and I just looove the fact that La Nueva cooks their chicken on an open flame. This process really cuts out of the excess fat. I have ordered their chicken countless times, and as long as they still deliver the same great flavor for such an exceptional price, I will continue to treat myself to La Nueva on those lazy Sundays. I usually order the plain half chicken. Just to school some folks out there… Whenever ordering a half chicken– always tell them NOT to cut the chicken… Or else you will loose out on the juices. Another point I want to add is that although you can not compare La Nuevas chicken to Malecon’s(El Malecon on 175th street), what you should understand is that you will be able to stomach this place a lot more than Malecon. Sadly, El Malecon is just wayyyy to gressy. You absolutely have to order from here. If you happen to have a bad experience, well maybe it just was not your day :(

Good, cheap Latin food. I get only delivery here since it’s pretty dim inside to eat and it’s your usual run of the mill Caridad-like dine-in experience.

Coworker and I needed a place to get cheap, delicious Spanish good, and La Nueva Espana was it. The place is halfway between fancy pants and beach food you might get in the Caribbean. The décor made me wonder If I was dressed okay — but the other customers and the prices set me straight. Quick service, HUGE portions, simple traditional recipes, and waitstaff that don’t speak to you in English? My Spanish food dream come true. We had the roasted chicken, the fried porkchops, the plantains, and the rice and beans. All delicious! For three of us and more food than we could comfortably finish, the bill came to $ 8. I was sold.

I recently came here with Unilocal’s own lovable rabble rouser: G and my homegirl J. We ordered: 1 whole pollo a la parilla 2 orders of white rice 2 orders of red beans 1 order of yuca w/pickled red onions 5 Presidente’s And the total was a whopping: $ 32. Yes. Exactly. Great food at an even better price. The service is a little slow, but it’s worth it for that grilled chicken.
