Best chai and samosa chaat in the tristate! The staff is very pleasant as well and they have best food in the town.

Kharian deli is my saving grace. I don’t know what I would do without subcontinental dishes served the PAKISTANI way once in a while. Spice palates differ from across the region and the food served here is legit Pakistani Punjabi. It is named after the city of Kharian in the Gujrat district, situated very near the Pakistan-India border. The service is terrific and the food is not bad. I wish they would diversify and not have the same staple Chicken Tikka Masala to something different. The chai is incredible. When I had it, I became nostalgic for my mom’s chai and I seem to have replaced my daily coffee with the steamed milk and chai(doodh patti) with no end in sight. Oh, and it’s freaking CHEAP. You can’t beat those prices. They have started to deliver via GrubHub. And they have a TV.

It gets three stars for food, with points off for being one of the more unpleasant dining experiences I’ve had. Yeah, I understand it’s a deli, not a restaurant, but why put in two seats and then crowd them with water bottles and various clutter(most notably, the paper towels being used by patrons of the bathroom a few feet away.) I’m not looking for aesthetics here but the chairs don’t even align properly with the food-placement area. As for the cuisine, the curry chick peas had good spice, with some unusual flavors that may include nutmeg. However, it was the sort of thing that might work better in a combo instead of as the main event.

Horrible place. Service is ok but I had one of the microwave curries which had gone bad. Both the meat and the rice seems to be leftovers from the weekend.

A local Bangladesh and Pakistan deli in Manhattan’s Flatiron. With a temporary water shortage at my workplace I am subject to fend for my own salvation for something basic as water. One of the element of life– water. One bottle of water at $ 1.00 saved me from thirst as Kharian Deli did. Service seemed okay with no further comments ado.
