It’s on but their prices suck, I would rather buy my groceries croon Washington heights, and drive my groceries down town, but it’s clean and the workers are not rude

Pros: The deli have great sandwiches. Management seems okay. Cons: 1) Never have great promotions like path mark supermarket or other supermarkets. 2) The prices are expensive for the low qualities of food they carry versus other supermarkets. 3) The Cashiers needs to be trained on customer service. 4) I was sold spoiled milk once even with good expiration date. I wouldn’t tell a friend about this place unless it’s a life or death situation. Lol

The Cashiers suck. The Managers are nice and helpful. Competitive prices on meats and poultry. Produce and vegetables are decent. Overall It gets the job done. B– slightly recommended

WHAT A DUMP ! Most of the produce looks like it came out of a dumpster… Most of the help is «helpless»… Shelves are always lacking mdse… FORGETABOUTSALE items… ” delivery coming later”…the Mgt./owners are full of excuses… I walked all the way to the Key food on Ave. A and 5th St… What a nice store … I found everything I needed… forget the Columbia St. Key food… It’ a filthy dive !

It’s a local grocery for this area the staff is nice but needs some work on the inside. I was not happy with the deli section especially cleanliness for cold cuts and salads. For canned and boxed goods it’s ok.

Friendly workers and clean area. The selection for fruits and vegetables is pretty good, and it’s right around the corner in a convenient location. It’s easy to quickly go in and pick up something and leave. I’ve never experienced a long wait or line, and they’re open a bit later.

I’ve been coming to this Key Food for years and while it has improved over the years it still is disappointing. There fruits and vegetables section is something to be desired. Every time I shop for mixed greens or spinach the dates usually expire in 2 or 3 days which drives me mad! Not only does the mixed green have a close expiration date but so does some of the mixed fruit. I cannot tell you how many times I see the expiration date for fruit going bad the next day. Sometimes the expiration date has passed and I’m amazed there still bold enough to sell the item. I guess there hoping there’s a sucker out there who won’t look at the expiration date. THEONLYREASONWHY I’m giving this Key Food 3 stars is because they sell Morning Star products there. Morning Star products are awesome! I’m very grateful they sell Morning Star there but guys you gotta shape up and get fresh fruits and mixed greens that’s not on the verge of going bad! C’mon Son!

Had a very good experience here! Huge sandwiches for a very low price! Food was very good quality and customer service was beyond great! Especially with one of the cashiers I’m not sure her exact name but i think it was Geraldine, very great personality and seemed to enjoy her job! She’s the nicest friendliest cashier i ever came across. If you ever happen to be shopping here, make sure you check out with her. She’ll not only make your whole shopping experience great but your day as well! :)!

My friendly neighborhood grocery store. And my favorite one. There are three or four neighborhood grocery stores, and more than a few bodegas, but I adore this Key Food. Ever since the renovation, this supermarket has gotten fresher, cleaner and brighter. The staff is also friendly — they’re always willing to point me in the right direction, and if I want a certain deal, most of the cashiers are willing to use their Key Food member cards to give me the discount. Love that they’re open until 10PM on most nights — it allows me to shop for the next day while missing the after-work rush. A few bad notes — sometimes the ice cream melts and refreezes in the freezer, but that hasn’t happened in a while. The employees are always restocking, making the aisles seem smaller than they are, and there’s often a line at the cold cuts station. But if the cold cuts station seems busy, they normally get another employee in there to help out. Overall, it’s a great supermarket — in my opinion, better and cleaner than the two Fine Fare Supermarkets in the area. There are also always a ton of great deals, so I always end up saving a lot of money shopping here.

I stop in here a few times every month because it’s so close to my job. It has pretty good selection and decent prices. Usually Key Foods will have great prices on certain items and the rest is over priced. The place is clean but slim isles and not much room to get around the people stocking the shelves. The best thing is that they always have a lot of girls at the check out and there’s never a long line or wait. The deli counter is another story. Might have to wait 5 – 10 minutes to get anything at all. Friendly helpful staff. Overall best grocery place in the area and you know you’re getting decent quality at a ok price and I’m sure I’ll be back, many more times throughout the year.

This is where I buy my groceries. It kinda sucks, but it’s open somewhat late and I work late.

The product selection itself is decent considering that its so small. I can get what i need when I dont have time to spare. Lines tend to be short and its always stocked pretty well. Not very many specials. With that being said, THESERVICEISATROCIOUS. The staff of cashiers are teenagers who apparently feel as if you are cutting into their talk time with other cashier, or when they are on their cell phones, picking their nails, etc. Management apparently does not care. If they were to even crack a smile or say hello you would think the world was going to come to an end. If you try to ask them a question you almost have to insult them into giving you an answer. And it’s not just one, It’s every cashier that I have been to. They should feel lucky they have a job. It’s because of this reason, I only go there when i really NEED something, as it is literally across the street from my house.

I love this keyfood! It sucks that I didn’t know it was there for 3 months but oh well… now I’m in love. The produce section is really fresh and they have eggo mini’s! I didn’t even think they made those anymore. This is so much closer to me than trader joe’s and the lines are a lot shorter. I love any supermarket that has boar’s head cold cuts :)
