El carrito de la alegría. Soy bastante denso con lo que consumo, sobre todo en US, esto es algo que realmente me gusto, la cantidad de variedades, la calidad, atención, velocidad y el precio. Fantabuloso.

I just got a regular Strawberry slushy which did taste pretty awesome but it was VERY expensive for what it is. They also didn’t have much selection. I’d get it again but only for a special occasion, too expensive to make it all the time.

Oh. My. Goodness. I would follow this truck around all summer if I could. I first discovered Kelvin Natural Slush in Smorgasburg two summers ago. Amazingly at the time, there was no line whatsoever. I got an Arnold Palmer with mango flavoring and it was literally the most refreshing slush I’ve ever had. The slush is extremely light and not packed with a ton of sugar. It’s not too sweet and leaves you feeling cool on a hot summer day, parching you of any thirst you may have. Since then, the lines for Kelvin Natural Slush have become longer at Smorgasburg. Last time I waited 20 minutes for my slush and when the family in front of me grumbled and asked«is this even worth it?» I assured them that yes, yes it is. It will make you feel like a new person, refreshed and ready to go. Since then, I’ve stopped by their truck when it’s in the Union Square area, and have tried the ginger with flavors such as white peach, blueberry, and raspberry. Honestly, I love the ginger so much sometimes I get it with no fruit flavoring at all! the only thing I’ve noticed about Kelvin Natural Slush was that some workers will coat the entire side of the cup with the flavoring, leaving the fruit flavor to be more evenly dispersed throughout the slush. Others will just put it in the middle of the slush and leave you to stir it yourself. I honestly prefer it when they coat all sides of the cup since it saved me the hassle of stirring, but whatever, the extra effort is still worth it! For $ 5, this is probably the most refreshing drink you can get. It just tastes sooo good and the consistency of the slush is perfect! It’s never too solid or chunky where you need to move your straw around to try and get better access. Try different combinations! They’ll all turn out to be marvelous. Definitely give the ginger a try as well – at Smorgasburg the Arnold Palmer runs out fairly quickly and peopel wil wait around for it, but seriously give the ginger a try and you won’t regret it! Also, $ 5 is the price at Smorgasburg, versus at the truck it’s $ 4.50 for a larger size(at least from what I recall summer of 2014).

The most refreshing drink I’ve ever had! Or slush I should say… Tried this joint finally after years of having it bookmarked. Luckily got to check out Smorgasburg on my last day in the city and happily lined up in the long line for this drank. I knew it would go by fast and after 10 mins or so, I got my ginger base with guava slushie and had the biggest smile on my face! $ 5 well spent and definitely the best thing I got at Smorgasburg. Your base choice is either Arnold Palmer or Ginger(not so ginger-y in my opinion) and an array of flavors like white peach, guava, mango, etc.

So refreshing on a hot day at Smörgåsbord! AP + white peach = yummy Ginger + Guava = yummy You can get a sample of the ginger if you aren’t sure if you like it. Also, the line is pretty long so beware!

I tried Kelvin Slush at Smorgasburg — and on a hot day this slush was perfect! I ordered the Ginger. As I kept getting closer in line, they kept on crossing out the available flavors :(In the end they only had green apple left, but the guy dripped the guava and raspberry into my cup(which was hardly anything). The Ginger slush was pretty good though, strong ginger taste which I liked! Will definitely be back for more in the future on a hot summer day.

I LOOOOOOOOVE Kelvin Slush. It seems so simple but it is so so good. It is one of the reasons I lug myself into the blackhole that is Smorgasburg.(The other is People’s Pops). When it is scorching hot outside, or not that hot, or not hot at all… nothing refreshes like a slush! The ice crystals are just big enough for half gulp half chew. The sweetness level of the base flavors(citrus, almond palmer, ginger) and the flavorings(changes seasonally) are just right. You won’t get that scary Slurpee red tongue and sugar overload. Everyone who works at the truck and at the stands are super nice!

Had a Kelvin Natural slush at the Vendy Awards about 4 years ago and fell in love with the flavors. So perfectly tart, sweet, and natural. On a hot summer day in NYC this is a great treat to have.

3.5, but I’m rounding down. On a hot summer day, this is great. Tasty, slightly different version of a regular slushie. With that, it’s just a slushie and for $ 5, you will feel like you got slightly ripped off. The slushies are great and they do taste good, but I’m definitely not dying for more. It was great to try once, but $ 5 for a regular slush that I can get at 7 – 11 for half the price, really isn’t worth it to me.

I am a positive person. I am a huge fan of Arnold Palmers. I am a sucker for slushies. But someone needs to spread the real talk about these ‘natural’ slushies. They are five dollars of slightly frozen sugar syrup and I couldn’t handle more than three sips. I carried it around for a while hoping it would grow on me, but it just didn’t. I even brought it to a clambake* and thought about adding some bourbon, but I just couldn’t bring myself to continue to mess with this overpriced demon. If super sweet is your thing, they also have flavours you can easily swirl in, but don’t be surprised when you end up tossing it down a sink in BK wishing you were five bones richer. *PEPPERPLANS to heavily feature clambakes in her reviews, and life, from now on.

It’s been a long time since I’ve had a 7 – 11 slurpee, let alone a slush. I almost forgot the feeling of having a freak-out over a small brain freeze and taking my first slurp of Kelvin’s was a reminisce of all my past brain freezes. I was in the Flatiron area when I pulled up their Twitter and BAM there it stood… only a block away on 20th&5th and to my surprise, there were no lines at all. The small cup looked incredibly tiny so I got a medium tea slush with green apple mix-in. The tea was extremely sweet, which I didn’t expect. There was only a splash of the mix-in so I hardly tasted any of it but at least it was something to add to the sweetness of the tea. The slush was smooth but kind of hard to slurp. $ 4 for a medium isn’t too bad, compared to $ 6 slushies in the city. May be back to try the citrus.

We visited the Kelvin Natural Slush Co. truck at the Parked! Food Truck Festival in the summer of 2012. It was hot — around 38 – 40 degrees(that’s 100, for you ‘mericans) and this stuff really hit the spot. The only dangerous thing is that I could easily drink three or four of them when it’s hot like that. The flavours of these slushes are super interesting — like ginger and lychee — which you can mix and match, and they use natural ingredients rather than artificial flavours, which is a nice change from your standard snow cone or slush. They are not to sweet and really refreshing. If you see these guys on a hot day I’d definitely recommend treating yourself to one of their delicious beverages.

Kelvin slushes gave me one of the most impressive brain freezes I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I cannot remember a better(worse?) one, even from my childhood days of devouring the blue and red high fructose corn syrup goodness we considered slushes back then. I really like these slushes but they are a tad too sweet still for regular consumption. If my demographic was not more at risk of developing diabetes, I might be slurping on one every 85+ degree day in New York. When I do want a sugar splurge on a hot day, however, a Kelvin Arnold Palmer with Pear is awesome. Their Ginger Guava and Tea anything is good too. Yay for natural sugar highs — and worth the painful brain freeze.

SLUSHTRUCKINFRONTOFTRADERJOESEVERYNIGHT! a medium slush was $ 4 which is a bit pricey but at least they claim to use natural sweetners —arnold palmer: mine had a mix of 3 flavors: tea, lemonade, & the worker added rasberry for a more tart kick. the slush was good BUT it wasnt at all mixed, SO if you gotta self-stir if you don’t want to sip layers… also the texture is not like an ICEE but more coarse refreshing BUT beware of the man brain freezes to come!

–I had the Arnold Palmer slush which consisted of sweet tea, lemonade and raspberry. –One mistake I did was not mixing all three together so I would get all of the sour lemonade at the bottom. –After mixing all 3 flavors, the slush was delicious. –For now Kelvin receives four stars. If they hit the spot a second time, I will bump it up to 5 stars.

Refreshing! I split a ginger with guava slushie with my brother. This was the best thing we could do to beat the heat. The slushie wasn’t too sweet and had just the right amount of ginger flavor. We chose the guava according to the vendor’s suggestion and it was great! A delicious mix between sweet and spicy. We sampled the arnold palmer and both agreed it didn’t taste as good. A little pricey for a slushie but soo worth it in 90 degree weather. Ask for samples if you’re unsure!

I’ve heard about Kelvin Natural Slush Co. through reading one of my friends blog posts and from researching on Food trucks. We see a lot of food trucks around that only does food, but this is exactly what we need — a nice, cool slush on the go and a truck that serves only drinks. Kelvin Natural Slush Co. was at the Mex fest at South Street Seaport today and it was near where my boyfriend & I were sitting down. We both decided to give it a shot, especially since their mix-in’s sounded tasty. So for my slush, I ordered tea and mixed it in with strawberry and white peach. My boyfriend got a tea slush with mango. The slush wasn’t really that big, but I enjoyed it very, very much and yes I would definitely track them down and return. Their slush tasted natural and not too sweet, just perfect. I really enjoyed it a lot because I was taking my time drinking it and enjoying every bit of it. It was so relaxing to drink. A slush from Kelvin Natural Slush is the perfect drink to grab on the go. I haven’t seen them around a lot, but now I am convinced to try their slush more.

Pretty good and interesting concept. We ended up getting the tea with blueberry. This drink was so sweet I thought my teeth were going to fall out. However, I really liked the consistency, but I think it had too much sugar. The flavors were good and it did not taste artificial. All said and done, my partner in crime and I concluded after we finished this $ 4 slushie that we would have rather had a mango smoothie from McDonald’s.

It’s 82 degrees in Chicago today, and though several fro-yo spots and a gelato shop are within walking distance, all I can think about is Kelvin Natural Slush. Imagine my delight(eeeeeeee!) when I noticed the Kelvin truck parked directly in front of my girlfriend’s Union Square walk-up. Even though I didn’t actually know anything about Kelvin, I deduced their product is natural(duh), refreshing(duh, again) and I was instantly attracted to the easy ordering instructions on the truck. You see, I’m a visual person and I like to see my options laid out. Step #1: Choose your base slush — Spicy Ginger, Tangy Citrus or Green and Black Tea(I chose ginger). Step #2: Select your mix-in(real fruit purées including white peach, raspberry, pink guava, green apple, caramelized pineapple, cherry, pear, blueberry, mango and strawberry. Oh, and you can also augment your creation with fresh chopped mint and basil). Step #3: Choose your size(medium was just enough for me). Step #4: Enjoy! Ginger white peach was a little zesty, crisp and delicately sweet. About five minutes after checking in on my Unilocal mobile app, my colleague emailed me to let me know we just barely missed each other! Coincidental good taste… apparently NYC residents and visitors alike know what’s good. Kelvin, please come to Chicago!
