JWATCH Watch Repair and Service

Very nice and helpful! Hours are M-​F 9 – 5, so mildly inconvenient since I don’t work close, but otherwise very pleased.

Extremely fast and high quality service. They identified and fixed the issue with my watch in seconds (another repair shop in Manhattan used the wrong sized battery!) and replaced the wristband all within 10 minutes and for only $ 50 (including the cost of the new band). I highly recommend this place.

I imagine if I came with something other than a battery swap, I could justify a 5-​star rating. Seems like a legit place. New batteries in 2 watches, in & out in just a few minutes. I will definitely go back next time I need a battery, or if something unfortunate happens to a favorite time piece.

JWATCH is my go to place for anything to do with watches, from resizing, battery replacement, to general maintenance. The main watch technician knows what she’s talking about, and has experience in many different types of watches. Service is quick, and rates are fair. Highly recommended.

Can’t beat it… I’d recommend to anyone.

She was loud and funny — this place is fast and efficient, I liked her.
It’s in a building on 5^th floor but it is like a tattoo place, don’t have a feel of watch repair place at all. She fixed it completely but took over 3 weeks and it was $ 600, it is over priced.
Although she is very good.

I had dropped my 5513 Rolex submariner and had damaged a marker on the dial. Since the dial has already begun to patina naturally, I didn’t want to get it re-​lumed. The chip from the marker was inside the watch, and they where able to put it back in place and patch the area. All that you can see is a crack, which I am fine with. Great job, listened to what I needed, affordable, friendly and quick. I plan to return for further work on other watches.

Wonderful company! Jaime and the crew are pros and they also know how treat the customer. I had a complicated automatic watch that needed an overhaul. After the service there was a couple hiccups but they made it right. I will recommend them to my fellow watchmen.

I am generally a pretty skeptical person, so when I read all of these great reviews of JWatch, I still had my doubts. But I brought three «over-​sized» watches in for battery replacements and in about 5 minutes she popped out from the back room with all three of my «children» energized. I could not believe it was done so quickly. As importantly, her demeanour was very kind — pretty rare for service in NYC but I like to acknowledge the gift when I find it.
Finding the building is easy but once you get there, it seems a little strange… not in a bad way but in a strange way. But after you receive the excellent service all of the «strangeness» goes away and you leave with a big ol’ grin on your face! You’ve gotta go there!

I took my brand new surf watch to the shop to have my battery replaced. It was a gift from my boyfriend but needed a new battery. They replaced it, but when my boyfriend took it to water after a few days (he forgot his watch), water leaked into the watch. It wasn’t closed properly. I took the watch back to the shop, and the owner replaced it with a brand new watch! I think this is a truly amazing service, and it is rare. I really appreciate her service and will go back there again in future. Highly recommend the shop.

This place was really inexpensive, wicked fast, and the service was great. Was there maybe 5 mins to get a pin replaced, cost $ 10. Was shocked by the efficiency. Will absolutely go back next time I need watch repairs and highly recommend.
Finding it was not difficult, it just doesn’t *feel* like you’re in the right place when you definitely are.

Really debated where to bring my Tag. It had been acting up running on and off even after being fully wound, and I even put it on a winder.
J Watch had some great reviews, but a lot of people were commenting on battery replacements, but I was get an Auto looked at, so I was somewhat skeptical.
Ended up going in and they knew immediately what was wrong (when I mentioned I hadn’t had it serviced in 8 years). Took it in, got it cleaned, lubed and water tested and it was 100% good to go.
I was impressed with the reports I got back with my watch on its functionally and the stress to bring it back in if anything seemed off for longer than a couple weeks.
I would absolutely recommend these folks.

I just walked in needed the battery replaced on my g-​shock Casio digital watch… Could have done it myself, but I didn’t feel like getting a tiny screwdriver and messing with it.
I gave them the watch and waited about 5 minutes and it was back in action again after giving them $ 15. The lady at the desk was super-​nice.
I haven’t had any actual repairs done there, but they seemed very professional and I would definitely go back if I needed to have a watch repaired.

I’ve gotten a few watches repaired for my boss here and the service has been friendly and reliable. They email you when the watches are repaired and if you can’t make it that day, you can simply email back to let them know and they actually read the emails because they respond! Thats refreshing.
And they send you thank you cards, thats sweet. :)

Received a Swatch watch from the missus for my birthday but there were too many links and the watch was falling off my arm.
While in the Union Square area on business, I Unilocaled watch repair and I think JWATCH came up at or close to the top of the list.
I scoped out the address and made my way up (its sandwiched between a Sprint Store and a Potbelly and does’t have a storefront; its basically a 5^th floor suite in a low-​rise office building).
Once at the door, I rang the bell and was promptly buzzed inside. The location is quite quaint and the people super helpful and friendly. A quick explanation of the situation and review of the watch yielded a very reasonable quote for adjustment. After agreeing to the quote, I sat for five minutes while the excess links were removed.
Satisfied with the results of the work (and my dope looking watch which looked even more dope now that it fit better on my arm) I gratefully thanked the JWATCH team for their service and went on with the rest of my day.
Definitely recommend for reasonably priced and relatively quick watch repair.
Now to find someone to repair my shoes…

I brought my husband’s Tag Heuer watch to JWATCH to get a new battery. They broke the nob on the side (the one you use to change the date and time).
I also brought my heart rate monitor watch for a new battery and it works just fine. I think this place is okay for lower end watch models, but my husband’s $ 2k Swiss watch did not make it. Had to take to Tag Heuer store on 5^th Ave for a $ 236 repair job.

As with all things, they eventually need repair. Although in most cases it’s a hassle getting something repaired, J Watch is so exceptional in its service and expertise that I enjoy needing their business.
The staff is always extremely nice, able to talk through options for what I can have done, and are extremely professional. They are super fast with repairs, but in no way does that compromise their service. I would take my watch here for any problem, and never imagine going anywhere else. Trust me it is worth going here.

My TAG Heuer aqua racer chronograph has not been working correctly for a while so i decided to have it looked at. After sending it to TAG and going to other watch resellers i was frustrated and did not think it was cost effective to get watch fixed.
I decided to look one more time in my neighborhood and JWatch came up with great reviews. I decided to go and try them out and they did not disappoint.
I had an overhaul done on the watch and from the minute i stepped in they were very professional. They gave me a quick estimate and one week later (actually less) they had the watch ready for me.
The watch looks brand new and all the chronograph functions are working and it was completely cleaned and working properly. (I like to add that they are reasonably priced)
Thank you JWatch for your professionalism and quick turn around. Now to learn how to use all the chronograph functions correctly :)

The battery in my watch died.
Although this is an acceptable excuse for being late once or twice… I admit it: I let it go too far. Eventually, all my friends stopped taking my calls. They stopped answering my texts. It got to the point that they would spit in my face when I knocked on their doors, refusing to even let me explain. Because nobody likes it when someone is perpetually late. It’s rude.*
In the hopes of one day feeling what it’s like to be loved once more, I searched and searched and discovered that the city’s top-​rated watch repair shop is a block from my office. I walked in about 15 minutes before JWATCH was scheduled to close, hoping to at least drop off my watch for a pickup at a later date. I noticed three things behind the counter:
1. A bowl of candy.
2. A sign that said, «Cash is appreciated.»
3. A nice lady, that started to apologize because their watchmaker was done for the day.
As she started her apology, a voice in the next room assured her it was cool in Spanish, he could handle the repair. So the nice lady told me it would be $ 15. I paid cash because they appreciate it, and took the last Reese’s because I appreciate chocolatey, peanut buttery goodness.
Five minutes later, I was walking out with a functioning watch and a slightly melty Reese’s.** I still don’t have any friends, but at least now I have some hope.
