Out of the three ice cream roll spots in the city, this is by far the best one. For one thing, it’s cheaper. Second, the mixing of the ice cream base and flavor is done so much better. I chose the green tea base, flavored with mango, topped with strawberries, and drizzled with condensed milk($ 6). For each extra topping, there is an extra charge of $ 0.50. The green tea base is a great choice if you’re looking for a light, not-too-sweet ice cream. The staff took a really long time meticulously chopping the mango and mixing the pieces into the ice cream base, resulting in a very nice hint of mango in every bite of green tea. The ice cream wasn’t as soft as I would have preferred, but I loved the mix of flavors enough to want to come back and try something new! Service is slow because the ice cream rolling process is quite time-consuming. I was halfway through my cup of ice cream when my friend finally received hers. If you want to avoid the long lines, come now before the weather gets warmer!

This is the only place I have went to get Thai ice cream rolls. This is my second time coming here! I would always come here for the rolls The ferro rocher roll is my favorite. You could choose how you want your rolls. And there are some they have already put into

This is the first place I’ve tried Thai instant ice cream rolls. At first they only had the create your own mix which made it fun and difficult at the same time because I wanted to try everything so I didn’t know what to order. However, now they have combos that they customize that you can order but you are still open to creating your own which I like. I have tried 10below and definitely prefer this place a lot more. Juicy spot’s ice cream is definitely more flavorful maybe because they use more fruits and it’s smoother. I prefer juicy but they have the option to create your own mix of flavor. In addition the wait is not as long.

Ice cream rolls!!! So cool, pretty sure it’s only available in NYC. I’ve been here for a couple times and the lady there is always super helpful and nice. Every time I’m here I bring my non Asian friends or friends from out of town. They were all amazed. I like to mix and match my own ice cream roll, but they also offer signature ice cream rolls. You can’t go wrong with the combinations. My only tip is: get the condense milk drizzle. I personally prefer Juicy Spot Café than 10Below(the other ice cream roll place in Chinatown) because this place offer seating. Don’t forget to check in and get 10%off! Also get the loyalty card for buy 9 get 1 free.

Cold weather is the perfect time to have ice cream. So after a short lunch at a nearby ramen spot we decided to pop in here and get some thai ice cream rolls. I like that this place lets you choose your base. I opted for yogurt instead of milk. And since I am always in a tropical mood I chose mango flavor though dragonfruit was my second choice. The gal behind the counter was very good at rolling them on the metal plate and they were very tight looking and neatly placed in my cup. It took a few minutes since she was concentrated on rolling them at the tight consistency but its sort of a lil show to watch my order being prepared so I didn’t mind. I was also able to get strawberries and pocky since I didnt want any drizzle. The mango yogurt one is like my favorite red mango yogurt but with these real fruit pieces in it made it taste so much fresher. My friend got one of their combos and got the black sesame rolls with mochi, condensed milk and black sesame sprinkled on top which also came out very nice. We also got a quesadilla panini to snack on. I liked the crispy pressed bread and it was gooey and warm inside. Overall its a very nice comfy café if a bit small to grab a cup of coffee or these ice cream rolls in a relaxed setting without waiting on a ridiculous line.

This is the second place I’ve tried with ice cream rolls. Although it’s definitely better than ICE-NY in Greenwich Village for me, the experience wasn’t too worth noting. I just had Snowdays twice in the past week as well, so my expectations were pretty high. Came here today around 3:30 p.m. and it was empty; staff was friendly and service was quick. It was also nice that they have stamp cards so if you’re going to be a regular customer, take advantage haha. I ordered the original flavor with mochi and caramel drizzle, topped with a little bit of whipped cream. I expected the ice cream to be softer than it was, but maybe because it was freezing cold outside, it was very hard. I liked the mix that I chose, but the mochi was also very hard to chew. Would like to try the lychee/watermelon combination next time, but for now this was pretty satisfying.

For a café that serves ice cream rolls AND smoothies/sandwiches, this place pretty much rocks. I love how they have diverse flavors ranging from the classics to black sesame, green tea, and dragon fruit. Plus, NOLINES! I had their black sesame rolled ice cream, which is made from their original ice cream base. They added sesame seeds into the base and also as a topping. The mochi, grass jelly, and condensed milk made it into a real frozen treat. Somehow the black sesame flavor is prominent(maybe I missed the part where they added more than just the black sesame seeds?) I still prefer soft served ice cream so my rolled ice cream phase is ending but I’m glad I got to try Juicy Spot! The ice cream rolls here and at 10below are delicious but too cold for me haha.

The first place to first open a thai-style hand rolled ice cream place in NY! Juicy Spot is a way much less crowded and short of wait compared to 10below as I stated on my review there, it’s also much more calmer and cozier. Aside for their hand rolled ice cream, Juicy Spot sells healthy bites and fresh pressed juices and smoothies as well. THAI-STYLEHANDROLLEDICECREAM $ 6.00 — the big chalkboard leaves steps of instructions on how it works to create your ultimate icecream; from choosing the type of ice cream base, ice cream fruit flavor, toppings, and drizzle. You get one free topping and any extra additional add on is $.50 cents. Their dragon fruit flavor one is the star here and what specializes them to be different and unique from the other hand-rolled ice cream places. As for the ice-cream itself, it was very delicious and the consistency is muchh more thicker and creamier than the other places. One thing here however, 10below started to change theirs into unlimited toppings and drizzles all for $ 6.50, which is how much I paid anyways to just add one extra toppings in mine at Juicy Spot. The workers at Juicy Spot are so sweet and lovely!

Solid combos! Friend has been on a Thai-styled instant ice cream streak lately so we made plans to meet up here. Interesting location, btw! 10 mins from Chinatown and 15 mins from SoHo so it’s great that it’s kinda away from the crowds. We ordered: #1 Watermelon Lychee — original base with lychee topped with watermelon, granola, mochi, and condensed milk drizzle #2 Ferre-Roll Rocher — original base with Nutella topped with crushed wafers, chipped hazelnuts, and Nutella drizzle #3 Chocolate Chip Espresso — original base with espresso and chocolate chip cookies topped with whipped cream and espresso grinds Each had its distinct tastes but #1 and #3 were amazing. #1 was super refreshing and fragrant and had great tastes. #3 was reminiscent of coffee ice cream but creamier. Seating was pretty limited. The rollers/behind-the-counter girls were impressive with their muscles but still seemed a bit weak on the actual rolling. Each time, it seemed like rolls would break halfway :/not as creamy as I CE but not bad at all!

I actually had a hard time differentiating between the juicy café and 10Below at Chinatown; as both were specialized in ice cream rolls and each has their own unique flavors. However juicy café definitely had a much shorter waiting time and had my favorite flavor so far — watermelon lychee. Such a refreshment after a long meal. They also have protein shakes as well as drinks — even real coconut! I sincerely love this place!

Yay for Juicy Spot! It’s honestly a marvel in itself to watch ice cream rolls being made. Although a bit expensive for ice cream, I still loved it. I got green tea ice cream drizzled with condensed milk, pocky sticks, and mochi. It’s a great combo, although I’m sure that the combo’s they have are likely better. Either way, I came Saturday night with no line and a good amount of seats(there are maybe 10 seats total) were available. Plus, the staff is incredibly nice! They also have protein shakes and juices, but make sure you get to try the ice cream rolls. Just note — $ 5.00 credit card minimum, but the ice cream will likely come out to around $ 7 including tax.

Fav: Watermelon Lychee with Strawberry — Line is not as long as 10 below but there is a line nonetheless.

I may have an unhealthy relationship with Thai ice cream rolls. Everyone loves it and raves about it. I try to be indifferent, but find myself coming back for it again and again. I’ve been here many times and usually with a large group of friends so I have been able to try different flavors with different toppings. My friends and I always seem to be lucky enough to get a table here and they only have three tables? I love watching them make the ice cream rolls and it’s always great when they make it perfectly. I don’t think the ice cream in the form of rolls changes the flavor, but I do feel that the texture is better than traditional scoops. I’m a fan of their yogurt base as well as their dragon fruit and black sesame flavors. I can’t deny it, I will definitely be back.

Thai rolled ice cream is popping up left and right in the city. Seeing the line snaked around the block near one of the chinatown locations the day prior, I was surprised to find Juicy completely empty. My husband and I shared a custom made my own — green tea ice cream with Oreo, lychee(my contribution), and caramel sauce. I know — total random toppings combo, but guess what? It was one of the best ice creams ever! The flavor combo was beyond words. Every topping had a very distinct taste yet blended well together. It was a treat to watch the staff whip up our order — pour the green tea ice cream base, smash an Oreo cookie, mash lychee fruit, fold and fold and fold. It sure took a lot of time and effort just for one order– def can see why they charge $ 6 per cup. Small size, big flavor. Skip the ridiculous line in chinatown and come to Juicy!

My friends & I were feening for some ice cream last night after having some chicken & waffles at Sweet Chick(always on point!) so hell yeah we walked down 2 blocks to Juicy Spot. Whether Thai rolled ice cream is just a food fad or here to stay, I’m not gonna lie Juicy Spot Café has it on point. First of all, props to the girls rolling the ice cream. Scooping ice cream isn’t easy & having someone make it takes a lot of hard work. And doing it at a quick speed? Kudos to them! The ice cream rolls were even & the flavor was infused well. One of my friends & I split a green tea base w/dragon fruit. The aroma & taste was definitely there! I gotta admit I’m pretty impressed. And w/the toppings(we had almonds, chocolate & pocky w/a drizzle of condensed milk)? Oh yeah, way to end the meal :) Definitely will be back for more. Satisfaction guaranteed ;)

When I walked in here, the lines were out the door. The seating area was small and I didn’t know what to think. Surprisingly the lines out the door were for the amazing performance of them making the ice cream rolls on site fresh. I was able to order soon after getting through the crowd and had a delightful experience. When ordering they offered me an extra topping since I didn’t get a drizzle over my ice cream. They then proceeded to make the ice cream on the spot when it was my turn The ice cream Rolls was superb. You can get a variety of flavors made on the spot from fresh fruit that you see get chopped up.

Well, this is embarrassing, but I first found out about NYC’s new food craze, Thai ice cream rolls, on Yahoo, of all websites. So of course, I wanted to investigate this item while I was in the city. Since 10Below sounded too crowded, I found Juicy Spot thanks to Unilocal. The check-in offer of 10% off sealed the deal. I didn’t have to wait in line the two visits I made to this tiny space. Yes, I liked my treat so much I came back again. You can customize your ice cream or go with some of their pre-designed options. Visit one, I got yogurt with mango flavor/topping, grass jelly as a topping, and condensed milk as my drizzle. Visit two, I got green tea with lychee flavor/topping, grass jelly as a topping again, and condensed milk as a drizzle again. Both were excellent and not too sweet. The ice cream is a little drier than regular ice cream, I noticed. It was tough to come up with my concoctions since there were lots of fun options like dragon fruit, Pocky, Nutella, red beans, mochi, and so on. I did miss raspberry though, since those little magenta berries are some of my faves. It’s also fun to watch the rolls being made on the cold plates. Skills are certainly involved; my rolls would probably be all crumbly and shredded. The finished product is so pretty! But not too pretty to not eat!

This is such a great alternative to get rolled ice cream. While other places has ridiculous lines and long waits, this place didn’t have it when I went. I was able to order right away and able to seat and enjoy my rolled ice cream. We got the sesame rolled ice cream and the customize mango rolled ice cream. Both ice creams were creamy, smooth, sweet, but not too sweet, fresh, and delicious. The rolled ice cream is made right in front of you. It only takes about 3 – 4 minutes to make it. Definitely coming here again to avoid having the long wait and release my sweet guilty pleasures.

CHECK-INFOR10% OFFORDER! YUMMMMMMMM! That dragonfruit ice cream roll! I came here on a Saturday night with friends for ice cream for a mood lift and it did exactly that, win. There was no line either, win-win. AND we were able to get seats, win-win-win! There are very minimal seats, which is why we were so happy. There is a preset menu and create your own. My friends choose from the menu and I created my own because I wanted to try the dragonfruit. By the way, I definitely recommend that because where else can you get dragonfruit thai ice cream rolls?! My friends ordered the Watermelon Lychee and Chocolate Chip Expresso. They both loved their ice cream and was telling me how good it was. I tried a little bit of theirs and it was good and flavorful. I got a green tea base with dragonfruit, mochi and condense milk drizzle. Ah, so delicious. The green tea balanced out the dragonfruit perfectly, it wasn’t super sweet. I left the place happy and ready to conquer the night. Although, I should have check-in earlier so I could have seen the discount earlier. It’s okay because I am planning to return for more and I can use the discount then ;)

The new craze in dessert is the Thai ice cream rolls. The concept mixes old school Cold Stone mix-ins and subzero plates(almost like hibachi style dessert) to create the ice cream with Asian flavors and fruits! Our group got the following: 1) GREENTEABASE 2) DRAGONFRUITFLAVOR 3) MOCHI/STRAWBERRYTOPPING 4) CONDENSEDMILKDRIZZLE The green tea base was really light, making the entire dessert not too sweet! The dragon fruit flavor was both infused into the base, by chopping and spreading the fruit into the green tea, and topped on the finished rolls. Make sure you like the flavor that you choose! This was definitely the most prominent flavor of all the mix-ins. The staff here is extremely friendly and helpful. They are competing with other Thai ice cream roll shops in the city, so they are offering a 10% discount when you check in on Unilocal.Only $ 6 including tax for one of these desserts!
