Joseph Cleaners

Joseph is a great cleaner. He cleaned a white silk blazer of mine that had stains everywhere that other cleaners couldn’t get out. And he was also less expensive than them. I will be taking all of my dry cleaning to Joseph from now on.

They deliver to my building, the turnaround time is great, and I’ve never had a complaint about any cleaning or the alterations I’ve had done there. What more could you ask for? You can definitely find a cheaper place, but not enough to make a real difference.

I feel it completely necessary to right a review on my experience with Joseph Cleaners. Unfortunately my friend’s pet had an accident on my brand new sofa; being new to the area I brought it to the first dry cleaner’s I saw (not Joseph’s) — I got the couch cushion back, still completely stained and was told there was nothing else they could do.
I read review’s on Joseph’s Cleaners and how they work magic with taking stains out and decided to go there. BEST DECISION. Larry was so helpful; he offered to call the manufacturer to see what material the couch was to best treat the fabric and even called me when the cushion was ready. He completely got the stain out, the cushion looks as new as the first day I got it!
I am so, so happy with the service that I refuse to bring my laundry/​dry cleaning anywhere else but here moving forward.

Seriously, take my advice — GO HERE!!!

I am a tough customer as I have always searched out the best dry cleaners wherever I have lived… Many NYC dry cleaners do not do their own work but send out to a wholesaler and do poor work… Not Joseph’s I was initially attracted as I checked out about 10 dry cleaners in the area and found a reproduction of a magazine review talking about how they were great in removing stains. Something that believe it or not so many dry cleaners don’t do well … So far no complains and I do believe they bend over to satisfy the customer. Although in a few negative reviews I was disappointed to see the owners comments saying that it can’t be because Larry has been in the business for many years, Just for the record there are many people that are in the dry cleaning business for a long time Doesn’t mean they are great dry cleaners, Having said that I will ignore that comment and say I highly recommend that to the discerning customer who knows good from bad

I’ve never been bothered to write a Unilocal review but have to praise Joseph Cleaners. I’ve used them for years and always been happy with their service and performance but recently they worked a miracle getting out hot pink nail polish that was spilled all over a pale yellow dress. I thought there was no way it could be fixed but love the dress so decided to give it a shot with no expectation of success. I couldn’t believe it when I got it back. They’re miracle workers. Big thumbs up!

I will start off by saying they do a good job tailoring clothes however, they are no different from the other hundred cleaners on the UES. However, they are a bit pricey. I was told to hem a skirt would be $ 35 and was able to negotiate to $ 30 however, I decided against it and went to blocks over and was told $ 15. Needless to say, the cheaper spot did a great job. If you don’t mind paying extra for the same thing another cleaners can do for much cheaper then go for it!
Also, the owner of the cleaners is the furthest from welcoming and friendly.

It’s pretty crazy of me to Rate this Place 5 Stars and I just walked in for the first time !!! But I’m a Service Person and As Soon As I walked in, I felt at home. The Owner Larry was friendly and very Nice. Mind you, I just met him for the first time. Now I’ll wait to pick up my Clothes and hopefully give them 5 More Stars. Till then Friends!!!

I have used Joseph Cleaners for about 10 years. They have always given me consistent dry cleaning and laundry service. Larry, the owner knows your name and always makes sure all goes well. I go out of my way several miles just to use this cleaners. By the way; they also provide pickup and delivery service.

Just did a wash and fold here for laundry without giving any sort of special instructions and everything came back perfect including wool items and delicate materials. Fast service and laundry smells amazing.

Joseph cleaners is amazing. The quality of their work is consistently great and it is delivered back in a timely fashion. If there is a request for same-​day service they will do it; however if after examining the garment and feeling that it would take more than a day to render the best care necessary for the item they will call and discuss it with me.
Larry the owner is so dedicated to making sure the quality of his work is top notch. He really cares about his clients’ needs and has even been available to come over to my apartment when I’ve had a dry-​cleaning emergency to see if something can be cleaned in a hurry for an unexpected event or trip!
I would highly recommend Joseph cleaners without hesitation. I trust their work and most importantly I trust the people who work there.

Joseph Cleaner’s gets 1 star from me, but only because I can’t seem to post this review without giving it a star. I brought a dress there to be altered and cleaned for a wedding I was attending that was coming up in a week. The dress had a belt which was the most prominent part of the dress– you couldn’t wear the dress without it. When I went to pick the dress up, the belt was missing. The staff was incredibly rude to me, as if the fact that the belt was missing was none of their concern and I should just come back on another day to speak to the boss. But I had to leave for the wedding the next day, I told them. They actually insinuated that I was remembering wrong– that there was no belt. I refused to leave until they found it– which they finally did. But what I had to go through until they found it was unbelievable. I had never been treated so rudely in my life. After the wedding, I went back to speak to the manager/​owner to tell him how poorly I had been treated and he couldn’t have cared less. There was no apology… just, «Well, you’re not going to come back here anyway». After this encounter I felt there is just no one who cares about the customers there… the manager/​owner cares least of all. I would not trust this dry cleaner store with anything again.

Great place to lose and/​or destroy your valuable wearables.

Larry is a fantastic guy and have been going there for years. I strongly recommend them.

Replaced the dry cleaner that used to be here (Galaxy?). Pretty good dry cleaners, I’ve no complaints.
