Great staff hands down from the wait staff to the bar staff! !!!, inviting space, my Mets sports group gathers here kind of regularly for our group baseball meet-ups. Management always work out a food deal for us and do their best to accommodate our needs. We are always treated well.

Sat for a few beers at the upstairs bar for a long afternoon. Great, friendly service and a clean, welcoming space. Reasonably priced. Solid Irish pub.

Back at John Sullivan’s, I love this place. Had fish and chips. Outstanding! Chips were crispy and hot! And the fish was flaky and hot, Nice! The waitress was pleasant and accompanying for my little nephew! Way to go Ashley. The espresso martini was on point! This is a great place !

The hostess was useless last night. I asked for a table and she gave me a look and reaction that wouldn’t have been out of place if I had asked her if she knew the cure for cancer. This is a one or two beer place where you stand or if you are lucky you get a seat at the bar. The bar staff are too busy but the place is cheap and the food OK.

Irish bar with Irish owners & bar staff! Always busy which speaks volumes! Great food(chicken curry, bangers & mash, nachos). Great drinks — espresso martini, white Russian — anything you want! Never have to wait longer than 1 minute to be served(usually just struaght away). Not too big & not too small it has a nice atmosphere with sport & music, food & drinks it hits all the spots! Keep up the good work!

Great food and atmosphere. Our bartender who was from Ireland(I don’t recall her name) provided excellent service. All the food and drinks were excellent as well. Great presentation on the food and perfect taste.

A solid bar and restaurant, with a sweet, thoughtful wait staff and a phenomenal manager named Brendan. We had burgers and some well-poured drinks for dinner — and then had a gigantic platter of onion rings, mozzarella sticks, and wings(and about 300 drinks) for our event. The upstairs room is really great for parties, and we had about 70 people there last night. We stayed until closing… because why leave a place that was that much fun? :)

I use to be a regular here until i had a disgusting back to back incident here. Well let me start off with the story that i think everyone should read. This happened recently October 23, 2015. I came in like i usually do after work. I order my regular drink Jack and coke and wait for my girl. The difference on this date was that when i took my first sip(with out a straw) i immediately spit something out that i felt was in my mouth. When i noticed what it was, I raged. A large cockroach that was probably dead or just recently killed by the alcohol was on the bar. The bartender came over and i showed him. He then grabbed it with a napkin said sorry and left. He then came back made a joke about halloween or some bullshit like that but i didn’t find it funny at all, he felt the coldness so he left. Regardless, me being nice i just continued like nothing happened. I was looking down the bar and realized that he told the order bartender and i also realized they both started laughing(Funny Right?). i got really mad but decided to act calmly. so i approached them and i told them that it was disgusting and that this type of thing shouldn’t happen to a customers. What ever, long story short he gave me a drink said it was on the house and so i let it erase at the back of my head. Now… While i was mid way through my second drink i realized there was something in it as well. I immediately took it out, only to find a receipt in my drink. I was really F***ing pissed at this moment and i felt like they were trying to do this on purpose or something. I told the bartender and when i told him he gave me an attitude and told me to chill out like this was my fault of some kind. I asked for the manager. He came to talk to me but at this point it was too late. I don’t know what kind of service this place serves but I advice people to stay clear of this disgusting place. This is why i give this place a 1 star, and even thats too much. I would rate this place a negative 5. For bad and disgusting customer service.

Fabulous Irish pub with great live music on Sunday evenings during football! Johny at the bar was so attentive and his friendly personality(along with a super charming Irish accent) made for an enjoyable night!

Welcoming, friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, [usual] lack of obnoxious, sloppy drunk patrons and a STELLAR $ 10 lunch special have made me a big fan. I’ve been especially impressed by the bar staff’s kind, welcoming demeanor with tourists. The Irish male bartenders are nice(and handsome!), and Sarah(«with an H!») is one of the best bartenders I’ve had the fortune of meeting in a long time: sharp, witty and fun. She made me and a few friends regulars now! Sully’s is just 1 block away from work, so the $ 10 lunch special is a fantastic deal, due to variety and speed. Try the Penne Alla Vodka and Mac & Cheese! I can’t wait to try the Shepherd’s Pie. Oh, and the all-day happy hour is quite hard to beat! Come on in – it may just become your new Cheers.

Stopped in while waiting for friends train at Penn Station and was not disappointed. The place was very clean and had a nice atmosphere. Our waitress was a delight and we learned after she left that it was her first shift! My party started with the nachos and then had various sandwiches(we came between lunch and dinner time). Everyone enjoyed their meal and the French fries were crispy and delicious. The only reason I am not giving this place 5 stars is because our nachos were cold when we received them but we ate the whole plate anyway! Will definitely recommend and be back next time I’m in midtown!

The mashed potatoes taste like they are instant and the beans taste like they came from a Van Camp’s can. The shepherds pie(with bland, could be instant, mashed potatoes) just wasn’t good. Salads came out with the meal. The piped in music was too loud for lunch and NOT kid appropriate.

Ate an early dinner here on 6÷22÷2015 and loved it. The food was very good and the service was also top notch(Aisling was a sweetheart). My wife had salmon and it was a cooked to perfection, I had the Shepherds’ Pie(for you purists it was really Cottage Pie) and it too was wonderful. Both dishes were delivered piping hot. We asked to be seated in a quiet section and they accommodated us without issue. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This is a typical midtown bat not really offering much and catering to a much older crowd, at least it was during the night I was there. Drinks such as a Long Island are $ 10 and reasonably strong although I’ve had much stronger drinks from Friday’s for $ 5 sadly to say. Bartender wasn’t that friendly not to say she was rude but she was enthused by her job at all.

My group of friends and I came here for lunch on Saturday afternoon having done no research on this restaurant beforehand, and we were not disappointed! We split a few different appetizers and sandwiches, and everything was super tasty and came out very quickly for a crowded restaurant. Our waitress was incredibly friendly, and answered all of our questions expertly, and the drink specials were also delicious. My two complaints would be that the place was very dimly lit for it being 12 pm, and the portions of the appetizers were probably the smallest I’ve ever seen. I would definitely come back here, though!

Stopped by for a beer and a late lunch. The Harpoon IPA was pretty good. Sausage rolls were OK. Beers were mostly USA labels, a couple of Irish beers on tap. Typical Midtown bar. Nothing special to set it apart. They open early for breakfast in case you want a lager with your bacon and eggs.

Came here a few weeks ago, after work. Wanted to try this place out because it just opened near my office. It’s pretty average I say. It’s nice cause it’s new and clean. The food is eh. Had better. The drinks were good. The first waitress was nice, but all of the sudden, she left. So I’m assuming her shift ended, but didn’t bother to tell us that«oh, my shift ended and so and so is going to be taking care of you instead» or something like that. But it’s a bar so I shouldn’t really complaining about it too much.(But the question is who do I tip? or do they have a pool of money that they split afterwards). In any case, I actually come here to try the wellington but it’s not on their main menu. It was on their sign and we forgot to ask for food specials(but we heard the drink specials) So instead, I ordered shepherds pie and Canadian poutine. Well obviously, I wasn’t expecting for authentic poutine. It was okay. It was fries and gravy. The sheperds pie was also okay. Kind of bland I think. Overall, it’s okay. I would come back so I can try a beef wellington. And maybe cause it’s clean. ahah
