Excellent service, superb selection, perfect workmanship and great prices. That says it all but I still have to add that Candido spent more than two hours with me as I kept changing my mind to buy 5 frames. He kept bringing me new frames after I rejected them, patiently listening to my exact requirements although I myself didnt know clearly what I was looking for. Nothing looked right for my prints — this one was too dull, that one didnt have enough gold, that one was too narrow and this one the design wasn’t nice. And he was listening! Because once he understood he came up with the perfect solution by combining two frames and that was it!
It looked perfect and when I went to pick them up today as soon as I saw them I was thrilled beyond expectation! So stunning do they look that I salute Candido!
Just for his superb work and selection, I am now buying new prints just to get the frames which will beautify my apartment.
Oh yes, the Groupon helped significantly with the cost but now I’m going back for the great work and service.

As I enter JMC I was so impressed by the customer service I got from Candido. He took my grandmothers painting (her last painting) and treated it so well. He presented me with the perfect option for the painting. It is now hanging in my living room and it looks perfect.

Buy a Groupon and go see Candido. He’s kind and will take all the time you need to get your frame/​matting combo right. And he has an excellent eye. This place is expensive though, even with the Groupon. But it’s a good shop. 5-​star rating if it were cheaper. Still, go!

Outstanding. I had a large poster that I badly mounted and framed 40 years ago. Candido took a lot of time with me as we selected new matting and frame. Very reasonable cost. I have had several items framed since moving to Manhattan– JMC was clearly the best, both in work and price.
Surprised at the complaint about wrapping as not only was my newly framed poster carefully packaged for the trip home– but as I decided to keep the old frame and glass, they were well packaged as well.

$ 70 to stretch my 40″ x 45″ canvas painting. It was finished same day, which was cool. Candido runs this place, and was helpful in helping me figure out prices and what I wanted. If you’re getting framing done, use his Groupon deal. Only thing was that they wrapped it in very thin paper once it was done, so on my commute back, it very easily got noticeably scratched on the corners, which left me bummed.

Candido (sp.?) is the sweetest, most helpful and reasonably priced framer in Hell’s Kitchen. We had a custom, double frame for our plasma above our fireplace put up and he came over to measure every detail (down to the receiver carve out) and I was so relieved when it slipped on perfectly. You wouldn’t believe how beautiful it looks. Will be back again and again and again and…

Candido did a great job framing a poster and a ketubah. Particularly on a ketubah he suggested a way of framing it that I wouldn’t have thought of and really makes it look great. There is a standing Groupon deal, so you may as well get that before you are coming in.

Somehow it seems like you can’t throw a rock in midtown without hitting a framing shop, and by sheer convenience I chose this one as my friend lives right next door. Turned out to be a great choice, because Candido was a dear and everything was simple as could be.
I just needed a mat, so he showed me the (many) colors available, we discussed measurements, and swish-​swish, voila! He also cut the inner borders a fraction larger so I’d be able to center and see all the details of the document I was matting, which was a tiny detail I wouldn’t have thought of but showed he’s always on top of what he’s doing.
I also picked up a photo album since they were well-​priced, and think this is a great place to go to help make your art/​documents look pretty and professional.

Candido was incredibly helpful as I was picking out my frames. They were ready earlier than we agreed upon and when I went to pick them up, I showed him another item I wanted to hang and he fixed the picture hanging hooks on them free of charge. He is incredibly professional, great at his craft and a very fair businessman. I would recommend JMC highly to anyone who is looking for efficient, well-​priced framing.

Walked in looking for a basic black frame, nothing special, and the guy working framed my 18“x24″ piece right on the spot and for an amazing price. Could’ve been my lucky day, but the frame and work he did was amazing. Highly recommended!

This is a great shop I highly recommend. I had 3 prints framed and they included the acid free mounting for free. The work was ready to pickup in 3 days!

This place is right around the corner from my house. I needed a couple of things framed and thought I’d check to see if they had any deals. Bingo! A quick google search generated a living social deal.
The owner is great, absolute Prince of a man. Together we decided on the perfect combination of frames and matting. Given my ability to prefer the most expensive option, every time without fail, he helped me achieve the best look while selecting some less expensive options.
Framing is expensive but I feel like this place aims to please and really tries to help you keep costs down.
Order was on time and looked twice as neat as I’d pictured. Pun intended.

I needed a print framed and I saw a living social deal for JMC Custom Framing so I decided to take the plunge. I had an idea of what I wanted, but after speaking to Candido, we refined the order and after going over a few options I decided on an ornate frame, with 2 inch matt, and a fillet between the print and the matt and museum glass. The difference between the regular UV glass and Museum glass was night and day.
I had checked out some other places before, and the turn around of most places was around 2 weeks. I dropped my print off at JMC on Thursday Lunch time, and I picked up the completed frame on Saturday! The print looks amazing and I will definitely come back to JMC in the future if I have anything else to frame.
