Surprisingly good food. Chicken tandoori, Yellow Daal and Chicken Chetinaad were tasty and well made! Would order again.

Ordered the lunch special as a low risk investment. The naan was doughy and the chicken tikka masala was alright. A tad sweet for my taste. Basmati rice was so so.

Ordered from seamless. After an hour and a half, I called to check on the food. The host was apologetic and quoted me another 20 minutes. It took an additional 35! Over two hours for food?! yikes. The food was luke warm. Saag was mediocre. Lamb was very tough and awful. In the end I threw it all away. yuck. I definitely won’t order from here again.

We ordered through Seamless last night. The confirmation email said it would take 60 – 70 minutes but the order arrived within 30(and the delivery guy was friendly). The naan was delicious. I loved the doner vindaloo. Mango chicken was also good. I will definitely order from here again.

Wanted to like this cute(in a worn sort of way) little place near home. But the food was mediocre at best. Tandoori chicken was dry, stringy and full of red food coloring. Dal Makhani, one of my favorite dishes, was watery and tasteless. What a shame. At least the house wine, cheap at $ 6 per glass, was drinkable. But this didn’t make up for lousy food.

Ordered delivery, and quite pleased. Will order again. Chicken Kurma and Mutter Paneer. Comes with a few condiments that were delicious. I’m often particular about delivery since the food can sit for a while and show up not great. No complaints here.

The good: A restaurant where we can talk is probably my first criteria when going out with friends. Seems like a rarity in Manhattan, but Indigo qualifies. I liked the food, though my tells me now that she has had better. The bad: the manager/waiter was gruff. Not a big deal but still. They kicked us out. I see they close at 11. We went to a 7:30 movie. Isn’t 11PM awfully early for a close on the UWS? Also, not a biggie. I rarely review but these negatives did inspire me to write.

Absolutely poor food, ordered delivery asked for less spicy. What I got was the speciest good in nyc. And the chutney was so full it exploded as we opened up. Threw away most of it cos it was not eatable

This place has really improved their food lately. We tried it a few years ago and thought it was lousy But we tried takeout and delivery from them 4 times in the past month and now their food and delivery service are fantastic. Favorite dishes are muttar paneer and chicken korma.

Simple and delicious Indigo has a lunch special for $ 9.95. Generous portions comes with rice and pita. Restaurant is intimate downstairs but seating upstairs fits a larger party of friends. Had Chicken Mango Curry delicious.

Pretty bad you guys. Lamb vindaloo tasted like boiled meat(i.e. not browned) in tomato gravy. Chicken tikka kebab had little evidence of marinade and an absence of char that suggested it was baked at 325 degrees for an hour instead of being grilled. Naan was limp and lifeless. Sigh.

Ordered through seamless. Got the mutter paneer, samosa and naan. I would absolutely get those things again! Seamless said it would take about 45 mins but it came much quicker. Really good portion sizes which made for about 3 or 4 meals. Overall super good delivery options.

Ordered take out. Promised in 40 – 55 minutes, at 70 minutes we called the restaurant only to find their phone number is not correct. Straight to some random voicemail. Eventually the food came and it was good, so they get 4 stars on the food, one on the delivery service, for an average of 2.5. Since I’m a nice Unilocaler usually, I’ll round up to 3. Won’t order again though. Too many other options in our neighborhood.

Was here last night. The food was delish, plus staff was really nice. It’s not that big, but the restaurant does have two levels for seating. Bathroom is really small. Does feel like a legit mom and pop joint with authentic flavors! I got the garlic naan bread, the chicken tikka masala, and lentil soup. Lentil soup was very lemony so added a delightful freshness. I loved everything! Mango lassi was one of the best I’ve had. Prices are reasonable. I would recommend the dinner prix fix for $ 20 since most entrees are already $ 14 – 15 — another $ 5 – 6 gives you an app and a naan bread. Portions are good sizes so I’m happy with that too. They also play Indian music in the background which adds to the ambiance. Definitely coming back!

This was the worst food delivery experience I’ve had in NYC. Food-orderers beware. We made a seamless order last night of 2 entrees, one samosa order, one naan and one pudding. The order was received at 8:30. At 9:30, we called the restaurant but the number listed for this location was simply an answering machine; we called the east side location and was hastily told that«the person left already» and then she hung up. At 10:00, we called again, but the restaurant stopped answering their phone. Finally, we had to call the seamless customer service, who then called the restaurant on our behalf. Around 10:20, our food arrived and was simply left downstairs. I cannot fully comment on the quality of the food as I would like to believe it would have been better fresh out of the kitchen. However, given the horrendous service, I simply cannot recommend this restaurant.

I ordered food from this place via Seamless, and they are now an hour late – no explanation or apology, no attempt at reparation. I called them three times, and each time they promised that the«food will be there soon». Soon my ass.

This place is solid! The lunch special is the best meal deal on the Upper West Side. The place is tiny. Possibly even cramped. But that’s what I like about it! It’s a great place for neighborhood people. It’s a good spot for neighborhood friends to meet up on a budget! I like the lamb rogan josh … Especially on a cold day!

Indigo is consistently delicious whether you eat in or take-out. The lunch and dinner deals can’t be beat. The service at this small neighborhood restaurant is always attentive and friendly. We’ve been coming for years and highly recommend the Samosas, Chicken Tikka Marsala, and Aloo Gobhi. I don’t review often but just had to when I noticed their Unilocal star ratings do not reflect my family’s great dining experience at Indigo. Who knew this little upper west side bistro would top the places we’ve tried all around the city?

If you value your time, order from Sapphire! Overworked and weary, I ordered from Indigo on a random Sunday night, using their dedicated delivery website. The estimated time came and went, and I called to ask for an update. The first time, I waited through five minutes of restaurant din before hanging up. The second time, they told me the delivery guy had just left. The third time(thirty minutes after the second), they repeated this line. I live four blocks away! A fourth time(now an hour late), they put me on hold and hung up. Do yourself a favor — order from Sapphire.

Lunch special was good value. Both lamb dishes we got were good. Did not care for the naan much and the rice did not seem very fresh as if was sticky. The service was fast and attentive. Good for a quick lunch that isn’t costly. Not much ambience inside it is small and the AC is a bit loud.
