Consigners! Avoid at all costs. Sell on eBay. Consigned quite a bunch of designer items with them. They promised you half the money they get for it. My estimate they gave me was ~$ 800. Within 9 months l received about $ 200 from them. That’s it they say. Turned out they 50% discount what does not sell for a while without asking your permission. Never called or anything. They DONATE what they can’t sell in 6 month. According to the contract. Well… They sign no contract with you in the first place. You don’t sign anything as well as neither do they. Turned out they«donated» my $ 600 item when I called them to collect it. Hope whoever of their stuff has been«donated» it enjoys it.

I love INA nolita!!! the girls that work there are amazing and helpful! Anytime I go in there they make me feel so welcomed! The buyers are great they always have the newest and most desirable items(bags, shoes everything) i have some read some of the other reviews and think they are so WRONG!!! these people must not really shop at small stores! GREATJOB to all the INA stores. Don’t ever stop being wonderful. Ruby makes everyone feel great 2 thumbs up

Why is it that this place always has had the worst staff for YEARS? Don’t they get it by now? Doesn’t the owner realize how cranky and bratty the girls working in this location are? The only reason why I stopped in here every so often(7 years ago) is to get rid of my crappy stuff. Especially that Ruby girl. She has a consistent scowl plastered on to her face. I don’t see anything to be snobby about anyway. No one local shops here unless they are into overstocked bad samples. So it must be just tourists and the clueless. Strangely enough, the Noho location has a much better atmosphere, collection and very kind staff. Also the Men’s is not bad. I don’t mind going to that one.

If you have a need to be talked down to by surly«shopgirls,» by all means go to INA. Perhaps call in advance and ask the rude staff what you need to be wearing in order to be treated with the respect a client deserves. I will not bore you with the details of my encounter… only to say that I was polite, spoke in full, grammatically correct sentences, and was dressed appropriately for a shopping excursion on Prince Street. The treatment and replies I received to my inquiries regarding selling clothes at this overpriced second hand store were brusk and condescending, with the overall intent to be as demeaning as possible. Stylish women in France, where I come from, would not be caught at the local marche’ in many of these clothes., regardless if they are major label pieces. I will give my things to a woman in need, since Girbaud, Max Mara, Cavalli, and Stewart Weitzman are not good enough for INA. And if they do not accept clothes from these designers, there is a way to inform the customer. Turning up your nose as if a skunk just sprayed underneath it is simply not acceptable.

I’m happy that this is a successful woman-run business, but the prices are just insane. Beautiful things, but they clearly only want the business of celebrities and stylists, so not advisable to shop here unless you are one of the aforementioned. Couldn’t find any shoes – even worn-ass flats – under $ 130. Bish, plz.

the worst of New York wrapped up into one store: 1. seriously rude shopgirls who think they are better than you. 2. overpriced, picked-over, unoriginal clothing that uses brand names to validate its existence. 3. dark and dusty. ew.

I hate Ina. I have sold clothes there– and I made a total of $ 30 off of the 4 things I sold there. It is a waste of time to trek to Ina with a bag, and then wait 3 months to make your pithy couple dollars off the items(you get paid once they sell it) and if they don’t sell your item you have to go back and get it! Overall, I would rather give away clothes to the Salvation Army because they come to your house and pick up and you get a tax write off. As for buying there, it is so expensive for worn out old stuff. For example, a paid or very WORN Christian Louboutin heels goes for about $ 300– I have the seen the same ones new for $ 450– and for $ 300 you can get them new on sale at Barney, NM, Saks, etc. They basically charge department store sale prices, but on used clothes! It is such an incredible joke of a rip off that I can’t believe people actually buy things there.

I always stop in when I’m in the neighborhood because there’s always something new. The great stuff gets snapped up fast, though, so I think it pays to pop in frequently. They have lovely, current pieces from designers I could never afford otherwise. One complaint: Nice accessories, but I frequently see jewelry pieces here which are available elsewhere for a bit less.

INA is a great little shop, lots of great designer clothes and shoes I would never be able to afford were they not at a consignment shop. The only downfall is there is usually only one of each thing so if something doesn’t fit you are pretty much SOL. My boyfriend’s sister worked here for a while and I have met the owners… super nice chill ladies, kept the store open so we could browse around after hours. You should definately check out this place.

The other reviews are spot on… come armed with patience — both for rifling through the racks of color coordinated designer pieces and for putting up with the chatty/chilly chicks who work there. I’ve found that the new one on Bleeker is much better. It’s a much bigger space and the guy who works there is actually quite nice. My last finds were a Marc Jacobs military jacket for $ 95 and a black silk and chiffon Catherine Malandrino dress(with tags) for $ 170. The one problem I find with these kind of stores is that if you find something you like that also happens to fit you perfectly, you feel karmically compelled to buy it, no matter the price. Or is it just me?

Ina’s is in a great location, and they do have a large selection of high end clothing, shoes and accessories – however…their prices are still very high in my humble opinion. I realize these are major label pieces(Prada, Hermes, Jimmy Choo etc. But If I am going to pay $ 350.00 for something I expect it to be pristine. I do not want a dress with a snag for that price. Their selection changes all the time, so to find the best stuff you have to go there often. Next tiem you are in that neck of the woods, you might just find a treasure!

This is what we call a love/hate relationship. This is one of the best consignment shops in the city, as far as merchandise goes. They carry beautiful and quite current pieces from designers like Zac Posen and Dolce & Gabanna. Great shoe selection as well. But the girls who work here are the definition of BITCH. I have never had a pleasant interaction with anyone who works here. They are snobby, uninterested, unhelpful and judgemental. So my advice is, if you appreciate fashion, and love consignment like I do, GO! Sift the racks, and may you find your special dress, or sweater, or whatever you are looking for(in my most recent case it was a beautiful chocolate brown silk Zac Posen dress for $ 225). Just refrain from communication with the staff and you will be able to shop and leave, unscathed.
