I can look past the running toilet and the remote control that didn’t get replaced despite my request. But the doorman’s agreement with «his guy» (black car) per my specific request to drive me through Central Park on the way to Laguardia consisted of driver stopping in front of the Plaza hotel and instructing me to jump out and get a selfie with one of the carriage horses. Not in the park, not through the park. $ 45 ride to airport comes to $ 70. ($ 83 since I paid by credit card). That’s one expensive selfie with a horse. Driver only explained that cars are no longer allowed (?true?) in the park AFTER we got to Central Park South. Why not tell me that caveat before I get in? NOT happy with Hyatt doorman.

Terribly disappointed, not worth the money paid. Room was too small and dated. The condition of the shower was atrocious. The stopper for the tub was broken and was unable to take a bath. The switch to change to shower was also broken. The AC did not work properly and the room was hot all the time. Will never stay there again.

Such potential but this place needs a room update soon. Location is killer and the lobby is pretty cool, but the rooms are small, dated and very worn. Nicks on furniture, wallpaper pealing, shower knobs not working properly and the list goes on. Basically its time to spend the money and update the rooms especially for the price your paying for these rooms. We were there for a conference so we didn’t really want to stay elsewhere, but there were plenty we could have picked.

This Hotel is located Great next to Grand Central Station but has lots of management problems. Our room was hot the entire trip. Talked to many other guest and they said the same about their rooms. Our non smoking room had a pack of cigarettes left in it. The safe would not work and had to be replaced. The room is over $ 500.00 per night but only gave us one bar of soap. Inexpensive hotels supply more items like Shampoo and Conditioner. This hotel could be wonderful if the staff worked harder to make it a nice hotel.
