I try to frequent this establishment at least once a week, maybe twice a week if I’m feeling wild. very much a hole in the wall place. They do most of their business from delivery, which is a great sign in my opinion. Delivery man in and out every 15 min. The food is great, everything from the chow fun to the sushi(surprisingly) was on point. Since they are mostly delivery the service is questionable but they’re very accommodating, nice people. 10⁄10 would recommend to a friend.

Just ordered takeout, chicken fried rice and dumplings. The latter was OK, not the best not the worst. The chicken fried rice was inedible though, not sure it can constitute chicken and how you screw up rice is beyond me.

Clean and neat, and the same for the food. Best Chinese take-away/eat-in I know in the city. Not fancy, but not your usual hole in the wall greasy chopstick either. Fat-free boneless spareribs(guaranteed indigestion anywhere else) were the thing I was first recommended, and remain a favorite. Is that star-anise I detect in the fine coating? You’d never ask that in your average Chinese, that’s for sure. Maybe the fact that this is also a Sushi place explains the subtleties? Whatever the reason; had and shoulders above the rest.

Horrible service! I get the same order all the time and there is a good run with good food and then I get a disgusting order.

extremely disappointed. No matter how Americanized you make the Chinese food, neither Americans nor Chinese can eat it. Felt so sorry that Chinese delicacies are ruined.

Why can’t I give 0 stars? Or even negative stars? I would give this place –5 stars if possible, in both service and food quality. My wife and I went here for dinner and didn’t check Unilocal before-hand(mistake #1) we ten proceeded to order general tsao’s chicken which is a full proof Chinese food order. It wasn’t half bad, so I thought«hey honey, let’s try some sushi!»(Mistake #2) them I actually ate the sushi I received despite my better judgment based on it’s appearance(mistake #3). It was, without question the worst sushi I’ve ever had in my life, and I’ve ate sushi in Wichita, KS before… I then proceeded to try to get a refund for the sushi that I didn’t eat(makes sense right?, nope, mistake #4) I was told the manager wasn’t there, and that since I had already tried some that they couldn’t put the fish back into the pile sh*t that they have stewing in the back somewhere. I managed to talk them into taking two of the three rolls I ordered off of my check, I should have left a $ 1 bill on the table and walked out, because I can get better food at a gas station. No joke.

We had sushi rolls and it was so old we couldn’t eat the three rolls we ordered. When we told our server she asked her boss and he said they couldn’t do anything about it. This is terrible service and probably the worst fish I’ve had.

Same restuarant as Sariku aka ‘Asian Hong Kong’ 1. Food — Not the worst but below avg 2. Cleanliness– Questionable… the guy who handed me the food came out of the kitchen had a tank top and shorts on flossing… I hope he didn’t cook my food. Restuarant itself didn’t look all that clean either. 3. Quality — I’ve examined each bite with my general tso’s chicken and chicken with broccoli and I’m 99% certain it’s not real chicken. It felt very rubbish and the general tso chicken is mostly flour and very little«chicken» Will I order from them again? Probably not, actually hell no I’m not order from them ever again!

On vacation in NYC. Took a chance on this place. Very clean and not too busy. We were a little concerned of the lack of clientele. However, the food was really fresh and tasted good. If I lived in the area, it would be a regular haunt.

OK… have now eaten in once and had delivery six times… all satisfactory. Well delivery can be a little slow. I am a vegetarian, now for forty years, and while I can’t swear on any Bibles that it is veg when it says it is, the food that I have gotten certainly tastes veg. Mainly I get Tofu things here, and I always ask for them to fry the tofu, and its great! My kids get either the shrimp & broccoli or the chicken & broccoli Lunch Specials… good deal… for their dinners.

Unsolicited menu under my apartment door. Thanks to that, I will never order from this restaurant.

My standards for Chinese food are generally low. I just want my General Tso’s tofu greasy and crispy. And I just want my Hot and Sour soup like, not gross. This place didn’t really fulfill these simple standards. First off, why do y’all have two names? Sariku on Seamless and Hong Kong Noodle II everywhere else. Let’s stop. General Tso’s tofu isn’t listed as a lunch special anywhere but when I called it apparently is, so I got it. Brown rice does not cost extra which is nice. They really skimped on the sauce. It barely covered every piece of tofu. And the tofu was pretty soft which I do not enjoy. As I said, I prefer the outside coating crisp. Also, usually like, 5 broccoli florets are given with this kind of dish. This had no veggies whatsoever. The hot and sour soup was sooooooo peppery holy shit. It’s all I could taste. It’s like they went to lightly season it and the cap to the pepper fell off and it poured in. I am still sweating. It IS cheap, though. My meal was less than $ 7. But I mean, it sucked. Skip it.

My coworker mentioned, «Chinese food,» and I was like, «that sounds freakin’ awesome.» So as I was doing laundry, I wanted to grab dinner, so I Unilocaled for Chinese food. Hong Kong Noodle 2 was good, I got the Sesame Chicken with Lomein combo with an egg roll. The Lomein tasted just like how my mom made it. But the sesame chicken was meh. I asked them to fry the chicken extra crispy, but it was still a little soggy. I think it’s because the batter was just a soggy batter. The egg roll tasted like they used frozen prepackaged cabbage(yes, they do make that for Chinese restaurants) rather than fresh cabbage. I totally understand why, because it’s actually a LOT of work to make fresh cabbage for the egg rolls. The people were friendly and the food was fast. No complaints here. If you want cheap chinese food on the go, Hong Kong Noodle 2 isn’t a terrible place.

I was enjoying my lunch in a nice park when suddenly I find a LONGHAIR right in the middle of my egg fried rice with broccoli. I called them to inform them… When I explained what happened to the female worker who answered the phone, her response was«I don’t know how that’s possible, everyone here is bald.» Like really?! As if it wasn’t bad enough that I found a hair in my food, now you tell me you don’t know where it’s from. I ended up getting my money back but I had to go there in person because they were«too busy to send someone.»

This place is good for lunch with all the lunch specials they have. I loved the way they presented the sushi on our plates. The sushi filled me up quickly and they gave us a free appetizer. It was satisfying. Its clean and the sushi bar is cute. i like the art on the wall and the music isnt some chinese music they plsy like jennifer lopez and all the main stream stuff. Might come again if I’m ever in the neighborhood.

Earlier in the week I met a friend for lunch at Hong Kong 2 since it’s near both of our offices. If you break it down this place is a decent and cheap place to get Chinese & Japanese food. When you first walk in they have a couple of booths and tables for seating, but the place is empty for the most part since people order out from this place. I felt like I was literally starving so I got a bit overexcited when I saw the menu and low prices. I ordered the tricolor sashimi lunch special, which in itself is very filling. It was my first time trying something new so little did I know that I would be getting a ton of stuff. Besides that I ordered a Godzilla roll, which is one of my favorite rolls EVER, to share with my friend. I was highly disappointed with the Godzilla roll. I’ve had it at other establishments where it comes out nice & hot. That wasn’t the case here. To wrap things up, service is okay, food is okay, but nothing spectacular. Cheap eatery for your regular old Chinese take out and Japanese sushi/sashimi.

It was mid-day in Midtown and I was middling for something different. Using the great search tool called Unilocal,I found Hong Kong Noodle 2. It was less than a six block walk from my office. Nice quaint place on Lexington and 30th Street. I ordered the chicken terriyaki, miso soup and salad, one of the numerous lunch specials between $ 5 to $ 9. And while I had to wait a bit to get the food(I ordered takeout) it was really really delicious. My eyes were wide and my stomach was full. I’m going back again soon.

Note this restaurant is also known as Sariku on seamless. Delivery from here takes foreverrrrr. At 6:45pm, HK Noodle via seamless confirmed that my order of 1 bowl of soup noodles will arrive within 15 – 30 minutes. It is now 8:30pm and I just got my food, cold. I called at 7:30 via my land-line to asked where is the delivery man, the lady on the other end of the phone goes«Oh, he left restaurant already, we on Lexington, far». Okay, so I guess distance isn’t taken into account when they give estimates. At 7:45, I called the restaurant twice on my land-line, and the restaurant hung up both times. I tried again with my cell phone and immediately it goes through. The lady on the phone tells me that«Oh, the guy came back, he called, you didn’t pick up your phone, we left message». I did not get any miscalls or messages and I had reception the entire time. It turns out later on that the delivery man didn’t wear his glasses and was calling the wrong number this entire time… I’m pretty sure the lady at the front desk of the restaurant had my number and could have called me from the correct number but nope. Last time when I ordered from here, the delivery claimed that he was already downstairs, only to show up 20 minutes later. When asked where he was he told me he was lost and that he couldn’t find 30 Rockefeller Plaza even after asking cops… And then I just found a hair in my food… gross.

I agree with the other reviews — this is a dressed up Chinese take-out joint. That being said however, they have good lunch specials, decent portions and delicious General Tso’s chicken. I came here for a to-go lunch, so they bundled in a plastic fork and some napkins. Upon opening the bag, I realized my fork was«webbed»(see photo I uploaded) — there was a thin film of plastic between the prongs, effectively rendering my fork into a ridged spoon. I was eager to mercilessly stab my pieces of chicken but had to go next door for a proper fork. Perhaps a fluke, but still good for a laugh…

First things first, this is really just a Chinese takeout place and I am giving this place 4 stars in that department(it is easily above the competition). They serve things like beef and broccoli, general tso’s chicken, sweet and sour chicken, etc. If you are looking for authentic Chinese food, look elsewhere. If you have a taste for Chinese takeout, you will like this place a lot. The inside of this place actually looks very nice and clean. It is not one of those typical hole-in-the-wall takeout places. They have waiter service and this is actually a place to bring someone to have a sit-down dinner. Price-wise they are actually as cheap or even cheaper than those other Chinese takeout places! You can get a small meat with vegetable and rice dish(brown rice available) for less than $ 6. The small is actually a very good portion too. It is more than enough food for one person. If you opt for the dinner special, you get a salad and a soup too and it is still only about $ 8. Their food is prepared very well and it tastes fresher and cleaner(not as greasy) as those other takeout places. Why eat your Chinese takeout out of an oily styrofoam box when you can come here instead?
