For a quiet Sat afternoon, the service took a ½ hour just to get a salad! Looked like a new great place, but would not bother coming back!

Went here for happy hour. They had pretty good food, we got some calamarie and french fries. Beer wasn’t bad either, they had a very large selection and a cool atmosphere. I would recommend this place to friends!

Michelle was the bomb!!! This is the best bar! I don’t want to go to any other bar but here and that’s saying a lot considering all the options in my neighborhood. She made the place feel like home, never had better service even though we were being a little obnoxious. She even offer to keep bringing us drinks after we left the table! Additionally the place was incredibly clean and the food was incredible! The atmosphere and music was bangin! I’m telling you though, Michelle’s service made the whole experience, She’s a keeper and if you come in definitely ask for her!

Good upscale bar with a lot of TVs to see any sport event you may like. Lot of beer choices and good wings

Great selection of beer(although weird enough, some were out of stock — like Hoegaarden). the space is great for big group. Very spacious and I love the hooks under the tables. Very useful. Good was good. Ordered the Fries, Nachos and Wings. Descent.

I came in on a Tuesday after work to meet a friend to catch up. They had loads of beers on tap and the wait staff was very nice. My waitress was Samantha I believe and was very attentive and pleasant. Would come back.

Went to this place after hearing of their good beer selection. Not many people on a Tuesday evening, so got a spot at the bar easily. Happy hour includes $ 4 drafts — ordered a Uinta Black lager along with the Grilled Cheese w/fries($ 13). The bread is sliced thick and is easy to hold, though I felt the ratio of bread-to-cheese was way more towards the bread side. This threw off the flavor and couldn’t get that cheesiness I wanted from the sandwich. The fries were also thick-cut, which I really liked. Added a little bit of salt to go with the ketchup. Favorable location for a bar. The beer selection is massive, yet I found most of the beers to be pretty generic. Might come back.

I went bar hopping in New York and checked out a couple bars, the place that made me feel like home the most was right here. Bartender Rick was not only excellent at making drinks he had the best customer service. I don’t even want to go anywhere else, I’m here for a week and I’ll be grabbing drinks here as long as Rick and the current staff is here!

This week’s fashionplate features our Chrissie cross print bodysuit at Holland House. My bestie and me decided to go here drinks the day before New Year’s Eve. I also needed dinner. There were A LOT of dudes here. Ladies, if you want to be in the minority run here. They have a ton of craft beers but we opted for our low cal Vodka sodas. The bartenders are super friendly and even kept giving us rounds of Jameson on the house. After a few Ketel sodas and Jamo shots I decided to order the truffle grilled cheese with fries. It was yummy and decadent and got the job done of filling me up. The fries were super crispy too which I love. The next few fashionplates might be more healthy as New Years intentions are in effect for now so this was one of the last few days of loading up on my favs-carbs, cheese and fries. They also have skeeball which is fun.

Came here to grab a quick beer before going shopping. After ordering our beer the waitress brought us over 2 samples to taste. Felt like I was at a beer tasting. Watched the game while we sipped away! Great in and out place! Maybe next time we can get some appetizers ;)

Food was ok, average burger with fries. Surprisingly they had Austrian beer(Stiegl). Service was also ok, but a bit slow. What I didn’t like was the freezing AC and the fact I had a sore throat when I came out, because I had to scream the whole time because of the loud music.

Came in randomly when my buddy was visiting town. «Holland House» looked intriguing and mysterious from the outside, especially with promises of infinite beers the world over, but when we got inside the giant space, I was a bit disappointed to find a gargantuan Midtown happy hour convention hall. With TV paneling the walls behind the mile-long, «L”-shaped bar, and beer fridges stocking mostly lower to mid-range beers, it has the ambiance of a baseball stadium«beers from around the world» counter. Selection was disappointing, with mostly lower-tier, mass-distribution«craft» beer and an array of boring familiar beers masquerading as a large selection. Still, even beer snobs will find one or two brews to keep them contented. The server was friendly and we took advantage of the table buzzer that calls them over(first world luxuries). Food was decent, and my instinct tells me to stick with the sandwiches and pub fare over pricier entrees. I think there were also bar games like skee-ball toward the back. Overall, a decent new after-work drinking space… a fairly anonymously sports bar in a beer bar’s clothing.

First stop of our impromptu pub crawl where i enjoyed a local craft beer call Pork Slap Pale Ale which was delicious. Its a rather large space for a beer bar, and it looks like they have skee ball tournaments in the back on occasions.

If you like a rather decent collection of bottled beer from around the US and the world, then this a good place to go. The place has refrigerator cases on display of all the different beers available. The draft beer selection is decent. The list is located on two screens in the center of the bar. I do wish the draft beer displays had more information on them, like when they were tapped, how much is left in the keg, and cost. I also would prefer that the boards were updated to reflect what was available. They are pretty consistently out of my first draft choice when I go during happy hour. Happy hour has a good selection of food and drafts available. I avoid the oysters now, even though it’s $ 1 during happy hour. The three occasions I got them there were 1 or 2 in the dozen that tasted not that great-so that’s put me off them. The other options on the happy hour menu are decent. The staff are friendly but are also busy, so you need to be forward and proactive in flagging them down for service. The bathrooms have always been clean when I’ve been there-so that’s great.

Stopped by this watering hole in order to escape the downpour outside and needing to replenish my thirst. To my pleasant surprise, Holland House has a near endless selection of bottled beers. The bar is extensive, large amounts of seating, and a skeetball machine in the back. Nothing like a little skeet after work! The drinks are affordable. They run a happy hour for select drafts at $ 5 until 8. I will be back to try the food as the smells around me were intoxicating. checking in will get you discount. FYI

Stopped in here while out walking… very large space with a sports bar feel. The menu is bar foods and of course — beer! Unfortunately, that’s the only alcohol they serve so if you don’t like beer of all kinds — don’t bother. We ordered the buffalo wings and a burger to be split in half. The waitress was okay, and they did fail to cut the burger but we lived! Lol The burger was very good, however, the carmelized onions gave it a bit of a sweet taste. The wings were fried hard and the sweet chili flavor was nice. Overall, the bar is huge and the staff is good enough. I’d stop again, but I would not make a special trip to eat or drink here.

Great casual bar in midtown. Stopped in for a quick lunch 2pm-ish on a saturday afternoon and it was pretty empty. There was a decent amount of people in there(around 15), but the place is huge, giving it that empty feeling. Got a table right away and had drinks on the table just as quickly. Their selection of beer is amazing and seemingly endless. Tons of beer on tap and even more in bottles. Price ranges are actually decent for NYC. They also have flights and beer shooters. Shooters are a few different beers mixed in a flight-size glass and it’s 2 for $ 5! Not too shabby. Now, the food. We were given the brunch menu and the choices were typical of what you would see on any brunch menu. Of course, the steak sandwich drew my eyes and I was settled. Got it medium-rare and it was cooked perfectly. The sandwich was really really good, came with fries or salad. I was actually pleasantly surprised that the sandwich was as good as it was… definitely could’ve used another one. The price point was average($ 16 for steak sandwich) and the service was prompt. Great place to stop by for beers, food, and SKEEBALL in the back!

Slow service: as in the place was 75% empty and it still took 20 minutes for a bottled beer, 30 minutes for a steak sandwich which they actually forgot until I asked where my steak sandwich was. Not acceptable that you have servers just standing around and chatting amongst themselves when customers are not being attended to… Case in point two chatty servers refused to look in my area when they stood 10 feet behind me as I was waving to get their attention. Ambiance: typical sports bar, with a decent layout Food: when your food ACTUALLY arrives, it does taste pretty good, get the steak sandwich but be warned they might forget your meal and then give you fries instead of the salad you requested. They do have a large selection of beers, which is great but be ready to wait a long time to get it. All in all, selection of beer and food is good, but man the service is beyond bad.

Large space, bright, clean, lots of room at the bar, skee ball in the back, tons of TVs to broadcast sports games and a RIDICULOUS beer selection. We sat at the bar and were immediately engaged by the bartender. She was nice, knowledgeable and kept light conversation with us going. The coolers of beer lining the wall behind the bar is a beautiful thing… organized by country… I wanted to sit and drink my way around the world, but alas, I had a flight to catch. I had their Truffle Grilled Cheese which is served with a Lobster Bisque. It was great. I don’t have any complaints about my food. And I cleaned my plate. So obviously, I liked it. My husband had a Cobb Salad which he said was very fresh and satisfying. I wish we had found this place(right around the corner from our hotel) earlier into our trip and not on the last day!
