Where do I began well first off great hotel I recommend to anyone comming to New York. The staff here are great rooms are clean and nice shower area small but real nice the room is small also but hey your in new York what do you expect they have room service but didn’t have time for that there is a place next door on 38 and 8th Ave called 2 Bros Pizza real good pizzeria. Our room is on the 36th floor we got a excellent view of the empire state and time square… I would have gave a 5 star rate but only problem I had with this hotel is lack of info that was givin to us we called Thursday night 3−10−16 to double check our reservation and my wife had asked the woman on the other line if hey had a shuttle to pick us up from the airport woman said no but that they had a FREESHUTTLESERVICE to the airport for when we checked out well tonight 3−14−16 we walked up to the desk and asked how do we go about the FREESHUTTLESERVICE and come the find out its not free… not only that you have to give a 24 hr advanced notice and pay for each person and also a deposit just wished they would have told us about that but other than that really great hotel definitely will be staying again when we come back to visit thank you for the hospitality holiday Inn staff.

A great location — close to metro ! The staff was very friendly, efficient and knowledgable! They have a restaurant/bar attached to the hotel which has good food at reasonable prices(for Manhattan!). Booked on Priceline and got a great deal.

The location is central. Close enough to walk to Times Square. There are train stops nearby. Plenty of restaurants nearby & starbucks just across the road. The bed & pillow is really comfy. The room is small but it is nyc after all. They provided Bath & Bodyworks shampoo, conditioner & body lotion which smelt amazing. No soap or shower cap tho so it’s really basic. The wall is thin & we got woken up by ciggy smoke in the middle of the night, which was a real bummer. Overall a great deal for your money.

I am just checking out now. I’m giving this holiday inn a 4 star. The reason why I’m deducting a star is because there’s a dirty sock way under the sink in my bathroom. I understand it was easy to miss. Other than that everything was fine. The location is perfect. All is walking distance. Rooms are quiet except for occasional siren. The staff was great. All friendly, from the bellmen to the front desk staff to housekeeping. Yes the rooms are small but all hotel rooms in NYC are like that unless you’re willing to spend hundreds of dollars a night for a room to sleep in and shower. I’d definitely stay here again.

So where do I start. First night had to call front desk no toiletries. Next day no hot water in the entire building. I had to get ready for work and had no option but to shower with cold water. Next day hot water but now room wasn’t cleaned. Arrived at 8:30 never cleaned and front desk called said no housekeeping was available at that time. Also had to walk up because one elevator was broken and the other there was a long line to get on. Thursday and Friday room was never cleaned. Friday night back in room guy comes up at 8ish to clean with no sanitizer or anything. Just wiped everything down. Saturday only one bath towel provided. Now Sunday our last day we see cleaning woman out in hallway cleaning a room. Wearing no shoes. Strange. So we thought room would be cleaned. Well once again we returned back at 6:30 room not cleaned once again. We left to complain at front desk. We later came back to clean room with no towels or soap. Will not be returning.
