Has anyone had a hard time reaching this restaurant by phone or through their website? I’ve been trying to make a reservation for this Saturday but I’m unable to reach anyone Please help!

I love this place. I’m a sucker for delicious margaritas, and this place has them! Also loved the cool vibe and welcoming bar. This area doesn’t really have any other cool Mexican spots like this one. This place is great if you aren’t in the mood for a sports bar and just want a nice, fun place to sit and have drinks and hang out. Wouldn’t be a bad date spot either!

Only been here once but I freaking LOVE this place & can’t wait to come back. New to the neighborhood and decided to check out Hell’s Kitchen for drinks and gauc with the hubby. The bar was packed(we went on a Thursday) and we and had to wait for seats, but eventually found a spot on the end below a gigantic wine bottle chandelier. Hell’s Kitchen is darker and loungy-er than the other cheesy Mexican restaurants in the hood, it feels a little more grown up. The flirty bartender was quick and knew his tequila. He made everyone around us laugh, while busting his butt making sure everyone had a drink. The margaritas are huge and made with a good tequila and not sweet. By far the best margs in the neighborhood. No question. The gauc was fresh and it came out fast. They don’t have a spice level, which was my only problem. We ended up getting the nachos and the octopus too. They were both delicious. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Come here for apps and drinks. There’s a wide selection of drinks and beers on tap. Get the trio of guacamole to start. The bartenders and servers here are a delight, and I hope it stays that way. You can come here with one person and sit at the bar, or a small group and grab a booth. It’s pretty loud and gets louder as drinks are flowin’, but overall it’s casual and fun, a competes a bit with arriba arriba next door. Try!

Excellent food abd ambiance. We had tacos al pastor with pinneaple and Burrrito and I would recommend both. The music and service were also great. I would go back sny day. They still did not have a dessert menu but they were working on it!

Hot spot, with great Mexican Food and Margaritas! Tables are great, but choose to sit at the bar if you are a party of like two! Bartender Ryan, is truly a down to earth friendly guy! Enjoy!

Came here for the second time last night! The manager went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience! The margaritas are fabulous! Our waitress was very attentive and friendly! Highly recommend the fajitas!

I found this place on open table, the seemed to have good reviews so my partner and I decided to give it a try. Ambience– very modern Food — was amazing, my favorite was the Brussels sprout taco Service — could use a little help, the food came out before the drink order and we only ordered two corona’s. When the beers finally came they were warm. We told our server and it took them another few minutes to get our drinks. We had finished eating before we were able to start having a drink. I would def go back!

This place is absolutely amazing. I’ve been several times and tried many things on the menu. The brussels sprouts tacos are just incredible. And I tried the veggie nachos for the first time last night… They were probably the best nachos I’ve ever had in my life. Loaded with roasted brussels sprouts. Everyone should try them. They used to serve a smoked margarita that was incredible, but I was a little bummed to see that they removed it from their menu. Still going back for the nachos.

We were in a hurry and ate at the bar. A favorite thing to do as we found out. Service was great! Ambiance is awesome for Mexican food. Probably one of the best in the USA and I’m from California. The food was mixed for us and I’m partial to service so I’m going to rate this place a little high. Come and experience for yourself.

We’re staying in Times Square and were looking for some good Mexican food for a late dinner and opted for HK. I had the taco trio(mahi, shrimp and steak), Hubby and the boys had shrimp and steak quesadillias and chicken burrito and everything was DELICIOUS! Lost a star for poor service — 5 minutes before our server came by to tell us he would be right with us, another 5 minutes to bring water and then left one more time before he took our order. Different person brought the food, and original server didn’t come back until after we were done eating. We all love Mexican food, but with all of the great restaurants in town, we’ll probably try a different place next time…

This place is great! They have these MASSIVE slushy margaritas which are potent and also the most delicious banana drink(I think its a martini?) with cinnamon sprinkled on top. I went on a Friday night, and I was pleased with the crowd and how comfortable the area is. Carlos the bar tender is GREAT — made great drinks and made great conversation even though my group was a little rowdy. Always kept an eye on us. This place is fun and comfortable and not over the top — would definitely come back here!

Went here last night with my mother. We enjoyed the atmosphere but was a bit overdressed. The waitress was nice and attentive. We sat and talked for hours and she didn’t seem to mind or rush us. I had a chicken burrito and it was yummy, my mother had steak tacos, her only complaint was for the menu to show three different cheeses, it certainly didn’t have much cheese. My drink was a frozen mango margarita and at first was EXTREMELY strong, which means you get your money’s worth and only need 1 – 2 before you feel a buzz but also means you’re babysitting your drink the entire time. Mid way through I did ask for her to top it off with some more margarita without alcohol. We also had some gauc for the table which I enjoyed. All in all, nice place. Across from Ariba Ariba so really to be honest I’d rather dine there which is why I’m giving 4 stars because next to another similar place, this wouldn’t be my first choice.

We frequent this place a few times a month. The food is always great, service is fast as well. The drinks are all worth trying. In regards to the foot itself, the guacamole can be a bit spicy. The Shrimp Botonas and Brussels sprouts tacos are amazing for an appetizer. Burrito and fajita are great quality and size for an entrée. I highly recommend this place for a bit of an upscale take on traditional Mexican at s reasonable price. Reservations are advised as this place is becoming more popular and harder to score a table upon walking in.

I was there a week ago. We live in the neighborhood. I ordered the steak fajitas– which were very good. I was so full, and I couldn’t finish, so I asked the server to wrap it up. The next day, I was soooo looking forward to some more of that delicious steak! Well, the server, or whoever wrapped my leftovers, took the steak and left only the peppers and onions. Pretty Low!

I made a 5 o’clock reservation for Valentine’s Day dinner at this establishment. My girlfriend and I love Mexican and this place seemed to have great ratings. When we entered it was basically empty. We got water and chips/salsa, which were quite tasty, quickly. We ordered some drinks a few minutes later. At this point it’s been a positive experience! Now, 10 or so minutes later our waiter comes back explaining some kind of issue with the bar and our drinks, which is fine, so we order our meals, which was the kale salad and a chicken quesadilla. I also asked for another bottle of water, as ours was empty and all the while, I am seeing patrons that were sat after us being served drinks. About another 15−20mins later we finally get our drinks. This is the last time we see our waiter. We are watching people that sat after us receive their food before us and all we ordered was a salad and quesadilla. Not exactly time consuming meals to make. So basically they forgot we existed. We eventually decided to just leave 1hr20mins later, as we had a show to see at 7pm. I’m sure the place has great food but the service was amazingly bad on an important night for it not to be. I usually don’t write reviews, just rate, but I feel this experience merits one.

10⁄10. Delicious Mexican food. Fast service. Very secluded and dark but comfortable. Food was delicious from the moment we received our appetizer, which was the traditional guacamole. Would go back again on next trip to NY. The ceviche was unique, not your traditional. Fast service. If you’re on the hunt to try something new, go for it.

Look, I’ve had my fair share of «Mexican» food and nothing has ever really wow-ed me. Maybe my verdict on HK is off because my standards were at a pretty average level, but this was hands down the best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten. I enjoyed the chicken burrito whilst my Mum ordered the steak nachos. My order wasn’t overbearing with cheese, nor was it so greasy that I couldn’t taste anything because the food just slid right over my tastebuds. The balance of flavour was perfect, the amount of cheese was perfect and the burrito was not at all greasy. The portions were generous but not explosively so. The staff were knowledgable and friendly. Highly recommend.

Margaritas the size of my face? And they’re strong? I couldn’t believe it when my friend told me. So, I schlepped to 9th avenue to find out on the last of my belated birthday outings. Hell’s Kitchen is the perfect destination for a date or a huge group, not because its dark interior is all moody and incognito, but for the fact that you’ll be so lost in conversation, you won’t notice how slowwwwww the service is. I made the mistake of actually being hungry when I arrived. Oops. A million years later, with chips and water in front of us, our very sweet and adorably apologetic server arrived. It clearly was his first week; maybe even his first day. He even told us he was new. Of course, I had questions. Poor guy! We ordered and he staggered our choices of 2 guacamole — rojo and traditional, salmon ceviche(phenomenal) and tacos, tacos, tacos. Let me just say, whatever executive chef came up with the brussel sprout and cashew nut salsa taco should get an award. This was a STAR taco. I want to eat it every day. In fact, I want to recreate it at home and eat it everyday. STAR! With half my classic margarita gone along with the shot of mescal I ordered when I was starving and cranky, here appears our adorable server with a tiny cup of chocolate salted mousse and a lit candle. I almost wanted him to sing to me, which normally horrifies my ass to no end, but I wouldn’t have cared thanks to my face-sized beverage. I blew out my last birthday candle tipsy and proud.

Came here around 10 pm on a Friday night and was greeted by a rude host who seemed to have an issue with a group of four getting«just snacks» and drinks. We originally came here just to get drinks but was told that we couldn’t get a booth unless we eat and the bar area was full, so we said we’ll get a few apps. The host relayed the fact that we would only be getting snacks in a nasty snarky tone to the waiter who took us to a booth in the very back of the restaurant next to the bathroom even though there were plenty of other empty booths that we walked passed. Minus two stars for this unnecessary attitude and treatment. Otherwise the food and drinks here are a solid five star! I love their pineapple guacamole and salmon ceviche. They have a great selection of strong margaritas, too!

Another stumble upon and another success. The food was so good, my friend and I took a group of our friends the very next night after we found it. Small bar area, good amount of restaurant seating and AMAZING food. The margaritas are also massive and very good. The first night my friend and I split the cheeseburger tacos– it comes with burger and french fries on it, aka HEAVEN, and the chicken quesadilla which was so good we got it the next night also. Ive been there 3 times and everytime they have large groups so definitley accomodating and everyone was really pleased– definitley a must.

Expensive, food was fine… but waiter persuaded us into trying the worst drink ever — some sort of rum drink with a marshmallow snowman. Good effort, poor execution. Also, tables who arrived 20 minutes after us received their food before us.

Did not expect this to be as awesome as it was. Walked it on a whim and they were able to seat our party of 6 in about 5 minutes. Restaurant was pretty busy too, which was a nice surprise that we got seated so fast. Excellent service and good prices. The quesadillas are excellent! You have to check out the awesome tile work in the bathrooms. Great atmosphere — it was a little dark in there and pretty loud. Good for late nights!

I love it because there wasn’t a huge line… The food is awesome quality … Got some chicken quesadilla and went lite on the cheese … A+ My friend Hollis says the Burrito is AHHH-Mazeing … And Sabie says the fajita is great. So… Looks like you have 3 winners! Check out the restrooms in the back for some sick artwork on the walls.

Stopped in on a whim. I had tapas style tacos — shrimp which my timid water suggested were excellent. Husband had the chicken fajitas — nothing exciting for him. Margaritas were Big Potent and Good!

New location for this restaurant(as I never been to the old one). Dark, trendy interior with a simple menu of intriguing options. Unfortunately missed the happy hour, but still wanted to have something light for a meal. Lots of the items here are incredibly expensive, especially for a Mexican place, yet settled on the HK chopped salad($ 11) and a beer($ 7). The salad was of moderate size, flavored with a delicious avocado/cashew dressing. Finished it fairly fast with my beer. Also got to try a bit of the«Devils Nightcap» drink, which is a very strong and spicy cocktail that lends credence to its name. I would say this is a solid spot for happy hour and to bring a date, but I’m not paying $ 17 for a burrito.

Great ambiance, good service, good menu, good prices. Stopped in for a late night dinner in Hells Kitchen and left happy. I had a small Sangria and Chicken Quesadilla. The Sangria was small but flavorful and POTENT. The Quesadilla was small but satisfying and tasty. I did feel they were a little stingy on sauces — not enough salsa with the(tasty free) chips and not enough salsa verde with the quesadilla. The server was happy to fetch more but I had to wait and ask. Like I said, I left happy.

REALTALK — Nothing on 9th Avenue is amazing, but this place is pretty decent if you’re looking for… — Large-Sized Margaritas — Good Guacamole — Friendly Staff — BOOTHSEATING! It’s like being back in suburbia! Man I miss Chili’s. The cute waiter said to get the brussel sprout taco. I was skeptical, but it ended up being better than my tuna taco. Bathrooms are generally clean here, and they are onesies! Onesie bathrooms are very important to me because who really wants to pee next to strangers?

«ITSHOTTATHANHELL» I love that«Hells Kitchen» restaurant located in… Hells Kitchen… re-located…to HELLSKITCHEN. The new locale is stunning. Living in the old VYNL space… you would never know. As an avid patron of Vynl, I have to say they did an amazing job at making the space feel new and special! The old VYNL porthole window has been replaced with an awesome street side drink area. You can’t drink ON the sidewalk but you can drink next to the sidewalk. The décor is darker than you would expect but sexy all the same. Booths galore and tables in the back that can adapt to your 4 top becoming a 5th wheel. Drinks are AWESOME here. Be adventurous… try something new. It wont disappoint. I recommend getting a frozen as the rocks drinks have a lot of ice. Menu can be hard to navigate but go with your gut here. If you don’t order the brussels sprout tacos you are truly missing out. The grilled Octopus is an absolute favorite and the ceviches are super tasty. Don’t fill up on the chips!(they come to your table all warm and toasty ready to be dipped in their made to order guacamole) Staff is absolutely sweet as can be. I’ve had a couple different servers and both were unbelievably accommodating. It’s refreshing to not only recognize but also see the management staff on the floor. They handled the«queue» of people so professionally and actually checked on our table multiple times.

I went to Hell’s Kitchen thinking that it was a completely different restaurant than the one down the block — turns out, they just moved up the street! They claimed that the menu is exactly the same, but it seems completely re-vamped for a younger crowd. While I wasn’t a huge fan of the old place(a little pricey for small portions and catered to a more sophisticated diner), I will definitely be coming back here. I don’t know if it’s the new dark and trendy décor or the fact that their margaritas are HUGE and STRONG, but this is my new favorite Mexican on the block, and it doesn’t help that my yoga studio is right next door… We ordered a medley of things, starting out with the chips and guac. The salsa is to DIE for — it seems more like a spicy tomato sauce, and it works so well paired with the crispy chips or the cheesy quesadilla! The guac is decent — I would have liked to have it a little more spicy, and it comes in a pretty small serving. We ordered the 3 soft shell tacos as well — 2 brussels sprouts and 1 pork. The brussels sprouts ones were so interesting — I’ve never had anything like that before, and I really enjoyed it! The service was really good, but I felt like they were hovering a little more than I would have liked. Granted, we were one of the only groups of people there, but they really came up to us every 5 minutes or so. It was a lot, and especially towards the end of our meal I felt like they were kicking us out. Overall, you should definitely try it, but I wish that they had some happy hour specials.

Four of us were headed to another Mexican restaurant for dinner when we passed by Hell’s Kitchen. Through the window it looked pretty hip and swanky with wine bottle chandeliers. We spontaneously changed plans and walked in. Don’t call us boring! The hostess said it just opened a couple of days ago. The motif is full-on Día de Muertos, Day of the Dead, motif with colorful skulls everywhere… even the restrooms! The 4-person booths(grab one if you can) have cute skull lampshades and we appreciated the raised footrests. Details count! We agreed that both their standard frozen and on the rocks Margaritas were pretty good. Two sizes to choose, but go for the large. You get unlimited chips. The guacamole comes 3-ways and indecisive people like us can order a taste of all 3. I thought the one with grilled pineapple was the best. Be warned that the tacos, quesadillas, etc. are basically tapas sized orders. Although I ordered seared tuna tacos, I found the quesadillas more flavorful. If you’re really hungry, order from the Platos section of the menu. Not to be missed are their unisex restrooms labelled MW, WM, MW. I noticed this definitely confused some patrons LOL. They actually transformed Vynl’s(the previous restaurant here) unique gay-themed restrooms into an even more unique style.

Hell’s Kitchen is a new Mexican restaurant in the Hell’s Kitchen, Midtown Manhattan(hence the name). The Mexican Sugar Skull art theme sets a trendy ambiance throughout the restaurant. We had large frozen margaritas with trio of guacamole to start; Avocado, Grilled Pineapple and Habanero Chile and Mint flavors served with tri color Crispy Corn Tortillas. It was a perfect appetizer to start the dinner with. We shared the Quesadilla Braised Pork with Jack and Cheddar cheeses, Cilantro and Salsa in homemade flour tortilla. We ordered two Tacos the Braised Short Ribs with Pumpkin Seed Guacamole and the Grilled Tuna with Romesco sauce and Almonds served with homemade corn tortillas with pickled radish garnishes. This place is great, with the right choices of background music and good custumer service. A bit pricey for what it is, but we will definitely come back for a date night!
