The best chicken over rice I’ve found. It’s a bit of a walk for me, but it’s worth it. Totally hidden gem. Almost never a line, prices are good, and the food is awesome.

If you’re a halal person this is the guy to go to. He’s been a hidden gem for the past 15 years that I have been going to him. Now lines are starting. He’s even reinvesting in his business. The lamb is great. The chicken is great. The white sauce is great and the hot sauce is super hot without being overpowering. Also, his secret is that he uses fresh cilantro. He s got the option for potatoes, chick peas and grilled onions and peppers. This guy is my second favorite guy in the city. Only wish he was there later in the night. Maybe one day he ll invest in extending whatever permit he s got.
The guy is super super nice. I consider him a friend at this point. Also, the guy loves making your dish exactly how you like it. I recommend a small chicken lamb combo in a large plate over either red rice or just lettuce («healthy» option and I don’t like tomato) with extra white and hot. Add grilled onions and chick peas. Don’t forget to tip him at least the $.50 change you’ll get from a $ 5. Also make sure you get it in a large plate because he’s going to pack the small one and you can’t neatly eat it out of that.
