This review is for their maternity section specifically. Just order online! It’s worth the $ 6 shipping fee to avoid this excuse of a maternity section. I think the other 2 H&m’s near Macy’s also have it, but who wants to traipse around midtown when you’re pregnant (or ever!)?
Their mama stuff is all sized the same as their other stuff, and there’s a waaaaayyy better selection online, so please just do that. I almost passed out from squatting so long to find my bra size in one of the clusterf**k’s of racks!

Went there today to shop the kids clothes. It was fine at first because it wasn’t crowded. Then I waited in a super short line that somehow took forever to be greeted by a really rude associate who told me I was doing everything wrong with my toddler son. I was so shocked that a complete stranger, much less someone who was helping me in a customer service position would be so aggressively rude to me. I think shopping should be a fun and enjoyable experience but it’s not at H&M. If this was the first time an associate at H&M was rude to me, I would drop it, but it has been consistent across several locations. I will go elsewhere next time.

So I checked in and am able to write a review all while waiting in this ridiculous line to pay. Granted it’s a huge store with decent prices they have women’s, women’s plus, men’s and kids all 4 floors of it. It’s 4:30 — I just need a couple of basics. The place is packed, the store is a mess. This store is awesome! The store plays the music really loud like it’s hosting a party but other than that I love this store. I was totally shocked to find out from the security guard that this location is open until 1am every night. Everything is well-​stocked and easy to find. I LOVE H&M!!!

This H&M gets one star from me. It is an average H&M that is super crowded.
Please don’t admit to having a plus size section if you really only have like 10 plus size items. How insulting was it when I finally found the section behind the clearance racks, the section was almost closed off by the fitting room line. It doesn’t seem like H&M really even wants to sell these clothes!
Definitely won’t waste my time again.

I love H&M and the shops in the City have designs not available anywhere else. I make it a point to stop at this branch whenever I can as it is closest to the Penn Station and convenient for my commute. However it is particularly busy here and today I am very unhappy with the service. I had couple of hour to spare before my train leaves so I stop by, picked up a few sets of outfit and although I didn’t have to wait in line in the checkout counter, as I was leaving the door alarm went off and I had to go back to get an alarm device off a purchase. The sales person removed all items from the bag, found an alarm pin still on in one of the shirts, checked my receipt, took off the alarm, put my items hurriedly back in the bag. I caught my train just in time but when I got home I found 2 items missing from my purchase! So frustrating!!! Now all I have is an outfit that doesn’t even match! :(

Love this location. I am giving them 4 stars because the fitting rooms lines are usually painfully long and that area is never well staffed and pretty messy.
That aside they have some of the better shop set ups and they are usually well stocked for sizes. I also love their sale sections.
This store went through a bit of renovations and I have to say it made a difference. I love the shop on the 2nd floor to the right. I call it the straight off the runway. Very on trend. As a teacher this section takes me to work with a little more pizzazz.
They have a floor for casuals, high fashion, children/​babies and men.
Tons of accessories and shoes at this location.

This H&M is winning! Gorgeous clothes. Good music. On point staff. I found my entire 2014 summer wardrobe, plus cute accessories here. Printed pants, chunky chains and bracelets, even shorts that actually look great on the two containers of cottage cheese I have for legs. Omg I’m gonna kill ‘em on every date with every guy this summer. Thank you H&M!

Horrible customer service, the fitting room attendants are rude and obviously hate their job. On a Sunday (busy time) there is only one cashier available while you see associates walking around and ignoring the situation. Wouldn’t recommend this store to anyone.

This H+M is always over crowded and disorganized. I go because they usually have sizes 12⁄14 in many styles. I also wear there maternity clothes and pick up presents for kids here– great kids sale rack. The kids stuff is cute. The lines are so long for the dressing rooms. Better to hit an H+M in suburbia this one is total chaos. Ummm and paying could easily be a 20+ minute nightmare.

Customer service is lukewarm. During the Margiela H&M sale, I bought a pair of pants that came with a custom hanger, but the cashier insisted that she got to keep the hanger. Why put up a dispute about it? H&M is just going to throw them away, and it comes with the garment– said the SOHO location.
Overall, employees are not very well trained

Just dropped by to this location last week to check out their new baby dept. There’s a huge selection of baby clothes for infants (2 mo. & up). Gorgeous 100% organic cotton layettes — 2 for $ 10 with assortment of colors and stripes for sweet baby girls and boys. This is a must whether it’s for a baby shower gift or for a soon to be mom. I picked up layettes, jackets, sweaters, and lots of cutesy baby stuff. Everything is reasonably priced even better than Baby Gap. All in preparation for my newborn! :) I love that this location has everything under one roof– women, maternity, men, accessories, children, and now even baby! As my wise grandma says, if you see something you like, buy it. The minute you hang it back, it becomes another’s treasure. I don’t even bother with the sales since most sizes in XS or XXL are left.
Def worth checking out & grabbing new duds for less!

Yay!
Huge H&M which means more racks which means more messes. However, the selection is also huge and you’re bound to find something you like. They have a men’s section and a kids’ section in addition to their two huge floors of women’s merchandise. There are cashiers on each floor so if the lines are ridiculous on one floor, you should try your luck on another. Usually, I find that the children’s floor is the least crowded.
The employees that work the floor are relatively useless and unhelpful but can flag down a manager or competent person that can help.
Watch out for the crowds and hoards of tourists that trickle in from Macy’s and whining teenagers from the suburbs on a shopping trip with their mothers.

They renovated during CMJ week and reopened the second floor, but now the men’s section is in the basement. Took me awhile to find since I’m used to going to the third floor. Can’t say I was a fan of the redesign. While there’s much more space for men’s clothes (no longer sharing with the niños section), I thought their old selection was way better. Maybe it’s because it was in the middle of the Fall/​Winter transition. Sale rack was also pretty sparse and they didn’t have many items in my (arguably regular) size. They also had a DJ by the front door spinning some beats; not sure how long they’ll keep paying him…

This H&M is conveniently located right by the LIRR. I have to pass by it almost every single day. Yes, thats a bad thing. I really do try to avoid going in but I always end up walking away with a huge bag of clothes. I think its time for a sugar daddy.
I really like their selection and cheap prices but this place is a tourist trap. The lines are unbearable. Dont even bother going by the jewelry section, you’ll just get pushed and shoved while some tourist screams in your ear «AMO QUEGLI ORECCHINI». I think the H&M on 5th Avenue is less crowded but I still prefer the huge selection at this H&M

I like your clothes. The ampersand is reminiscent of D&G but in a price range that allows you to buy a lot of stuff you probably truly do not need, rather than a few things at a time that you undertook the initiative of saving up for over time. You are very American even though you try to appear as nonchalantly European as you can. Your salespeopleworkerpeople are pretty friendly, although the people shopping there look like they would possibly kill you if you are their size and you are holding the last of something. It is still a fun experience to shop here.

Decently large, but full of super rude folks. I almost got mowed over a few times. Plus, there were a bunch of tourists wandering around lost. I got pretty fed up, so I threw down the stuff I was about to try on and just left. (Didn’t help that I ended up in tourist central outside, but it was nice to sit and not have anyone run me over).
When I shop, I shop hardcore. I hate super crowded, loud places. Doesn’t make my experience a happy one. Not one of my favorite H&Ms in NYC, but it’s definitely a large one with a lot of selection.
