Grove Atlantic

One of the last independent publishers in New York City still publishing cutting edge literary fiction and non-​fiction as well as plays by playwrights such as Harold Pinter, David Mamet, and Samuel Beckett; this avant-​garde publishing house is run by Morgan Entrekin. Early in his career Entrekin discovered Brett Easton Ellis. He went onto publish COLD MOUNTAIN, BLACK HAWK DOWN, and PEACE LIKE A RIVER, among many other New York Times Best Sellers.
Grove is famous for cutting edge literary fiction, and for publishing authors like Henry Miller, William S. Burroughs, and D. H. Lawrence and defending their books against obscenity lawsuits back in the 60s, and winning.
Now with VP, Associate Publisher Eric Price, and Deb Seager, VP Publicity, Grove/​Atlantic continues to stay on the cutting edge of the New York City publishing scene. They also have a fantastic website created by Peter Grand (who does a lot of publishing software and sites):
