I stopped in on a whim late this afternoon. I was hungry, wanted something mostly healthy and nutritious and it had to be warm. I saw they served soup, so I ordered a small lentil and green pea soup. I was envisioning a soup that was almost like a purée in appearance. What I got was a soup that had a broth and lentil and peas beneath that broth. The flavor of the soup was bland BUT, I believe that that was purposely so you could season it to suit your own flavor palate. I did however have an issue with the softness of the beans. It was firm bordering on just a hair under-cooked. Usually if it’s made properly, it’s soft but firmly holds its shape. Because I was not expecting it to be that firm, when I chomped down it actually hurt my tooth a bit. So not sure, if that it the cook they normally do for this particular soup but I would have preferred it’d been a bit softer on the teeth. As for the service, the lady at the counter was very nice as was her other coworker. I noticed some regulars and they were immediately greeted like old friends. If I’m in the area, I’ll stop in and try a different soup but I’m leaving it at 3 stars because the cook on the soup didn’t seem completely right to me.

Dropped by trying to redeem $ 2 levelup with no luck, but ended up grabbing a decent smoothie. Bit of seating available. Oddly closed Saturday?

This place is it! I stayed right around the corner for 4 nights and ate here 3 times because it was so good. If you are looking for lovingly prepared, quality food look no further! I’ll be back the next time I am New York for sure!

Vegan? You found your new spot! sooo many options. The smoothies are awesome and probably my favorite part of village yogurt. The Almond Joy is to die for(Almond butter, vanilla almond milk, coconut, banana). YUM. I’ve also had some other types of food from here like the dumplings which were pretty good. They have a huge menu with a wide assortment to choose from. $ 12 Credit card minimum. There is also a small wall with grocery and snack items to take to-go, all are healthy but sometimes a bit on the pricey side!

The food is amazing. Super simple and healthy. I couldn’t live without number 17 or 13. Their dumplings and smoothies are a must have.

TL;DR: Pricey, but the food is great quality and feels spectacularly healthy. The order: #6 Combo Specialty + Green Monster at ~$ 17. The food: Combo specialty is 5 light, but delicious dumplings with veggie filling + multigrain rice with friend rice vegetables(pretty standard, not good, not bad) + steamed veggies(veggies taste pretty fresh, but nothing mind blowing). Overall, the food is what you would expect of a good vegan restaurant — the tastes are light, but the meal is filling and makes you feel good. That said, the quantity seems slightly short of the $ 17 price tag, so 4⁄5. The service: Good! The cashier was cheerful! The ambience: Chill and relaxed, with a taste of the standard vegan indie vibe.

Came here to grab a bite to eat while running errands. Food was great. They seem to be closed at random times. I’ve tried to stop here on the weekends during peak business hours, only to find the gates closed and no one around… strange.

I really want to give this place more stars but they always F-up my order. The food is very clean, healthy and fresh. However I am allergic to tofu and tell them NOTOFU, yet they always find a way to work it into my food…: / I will keep trying and hopeful they will remember.

My hubby and I stopped here before heading back to NJ after a yoga class and museum trip. We only got smoothies and a couple snack breads, but the quality and taste was spot on and both tasted and felt so nourishing. They had a super wide variety of vegan goods, juices, smoothies, other nosh and convenience items and the workers were helpful and friendly. I’ll definitely be back to refuel whenever I’m in the area.

I love this place! I want to go back for more– I’m just never in this part of town. Just walking in I am so overwhelmed at all the choices! I got the ginger pear bar, which was amazing! Anything with oats, grains, and nuts– count me in! Anytime I’m in this neighborhood, I have to make it a point to grab something.

Great place, light dishes. Not only healthy food and dessert but also a lot of products to shop for. Their brown rice are cooked to just right!!! Very happy about that! Steamed veggie are not too soft, you can add sauce yourself. Totally the perfect place for anyone who wants to be more healthy but lazy for cooking.

This place is my lunch time treat. Seriously. So well priced for delicious salads and steamed dishes. Always come out so delicious. I love chicken with fresh veggies and steaming hot brown rice with a light drizzle of soy on the table and an amazing juice for like 12 bucks?! You’re kidding me. On 6th ave. In manhattan. The booster juice blend is so good. People are so nice, will bring you your food, small businesses like this need love and attention. I hope they are very successful and I will continue to support!!!

I really like this place. It’s a cozy mom and pop shop with a crunchy earthy feel to the place. The protein smoothies are delicious and anyone who eats a meal here must try the dumplings. They give you a generous portion of vegetables, rice, tofu and dumplings and salad. The sauce is nice and has a mild flavor. These taste pretty awesome. My only negative are the vegan and gluten free deserts. They sound delicious from their descriptions on the display case and look appetizing, but when I tried the banana chocolate cake it had a weird synthetic aftertaste — like cardboard with stale laundry. I also tried another vegan desert here before and it was tasteless.

Really nice place to find around Flatiron. They had a lot of different smoothies that I would like to try one day. Got their chicken dumplings and salad meal deal. I don’t really run into dumpling and salad combo deals generally. The chicken dumplings were absolutely delicious — not greasy at all! The salad was just meh but I really wanted something super healthy so it satisfied that at least. Really nice in the sense that its one of the few healthy places that feels really casual.

Anyone who knows me well would not be surprised to know that I tried this place out. If you asked them to explain why, they would likely point to the following evidence: 1. Green smoothies. That alone should be enough indication why I like this place! I tried the almond greens, which is a mix of greens, banana, almond butter and flax seed. I literally finish this in less than 5 minutes because it’s so tasty(and not too sweet!) Not badly priced at $ 6 – 7 a smoothie, though I guess I could technically make this myself and I actually like the ones I make better. 2. Dumplings. I LOVE the tofu and veggie dumplings here. The skin is thin(homemade quality) compared to other places that have thick, cakey dumpling sleeves. The filling is tasty and healthy! 3. Asian veggies. They are pretty bland by themselves because they are just steamed. I don’t actually like the sesame sauce that they give you with it(would prefer something more on the carrot-ginger side or even more peanuty because the current sauce has a bit of a strange aftertaste that I can’t quite put my finger on. But I do love that the veggies here are steamed and healthy, and that there’s a ton of variety. Lots of seating. The service was terrible and the cashier was pretty mean to me, so minus a star for that.

I came in for lunch last summer and ordered the steamed vegetables & shrimp dumplings, and I’ve been coming back at least 3 – 4 times a week since. This is a delicious and healthy lunch in a perfect portion. They’re currently redoing the interior to make it more quaint and approachable(new lighting, custom menu board, employees), but the food hasn’t changed a bit! I miss the old counter girl(what happened to her?) but it’s nice that the owners recognize us regulars. Some day the man will remember my order(shrimp #6, extra kale), but I don’t mind as long as it stays so fresh and filling. And I reallyyyy hope they fix their oven and bring back those delicious little cookies. They’re the perfect treat to such a satisfying lunch.

Steamed veggies with dumplings. Comes with sesame sauce. Made with buddha love. BOOM!!! I used to come here on the REG when I was a student! It’s the bomb and this food heals!!! Somethin’s up with the soy sauce though — I think they lace it with vinegar. Oh! And! PERFECTSIZEDCOOKIES. You’d be hard pressed to find a better joint. And I ain’t smokin that dope steez any-more: pleeaaaz. Just eatz.
