I was given 2 tickets to this tour as a gift. That is probably the only way you would get me to go on this tour again. To my understanding, the tickets for this tour are 50 dollars each, but sometimes a groupon pops up for a cheaper price. Unless that cheaper price is 15 dollars, this tour is simply not worth it. The tour guide seemed very all-over-the-place, and didn’t really do much to give us a tour, so much as she was there to take us from free food stop to free food stop. I’m going to summarize the food we received, along with an estimated cost for that food, and you’ll quickly understand why the price of this tour should be no more than 20 dollars a head. 1st stop: Bleecker Street Pizza — The tasting was one slice, valued at $ 3.50(which I believe is way overpriced for a slice, I don’t care how good it was – and it was good) 2nd stop: Faicco’s Pork Store — The tasting here consisted of one cheese rice ball valued at $ 1.00, and a slice of salami, probably valued at less than $ 0.50. 3rd stop: Bagels on the Square — The tasting at this bagel store was ¼th of a bagel with vegetable cream chese. A whole bagel with cream cheese values at $ 3.00 a bagel, so the value of your tasting at this stop is $ 0.75 4th stop: Mamoun Falafel — This stop’s tasting was a single falafel ball. Seeing as a falafel sandwich runs $ 3.50 at this establishment, the estimated price of this tasting would be around $ 0.50. 5th stop: Porto Rico Importing — This was a coffee shop, and the tasting consisted of a shot of dark coffee. A Large cup of coffee at this place runs ~$ 2.00. The value of the small shot of coffee is around $ 0.25. 6th stop: Molly’s Cupcakes — This, as the name implies, is a cupcakery. The tasting here was a single mini cupcake of your choosing. The mini cupcakes, as per Molly’s menu is $ 1.00. When totaling the cost of all the food items consumed on this tour, you will see that the total price comes out to $ 7.50. Some people might argue that you’re paying for the experience, and the guided tour. And while that might be true in some cases, I can assure you, that the tour guide was not necessary, especially considering that this tour guide essentially asked us for tips before the tour concluded. Save the money, hit all 6 of these places on your own, and use the rest of the money you would have put towards a ticket for this tour, and do something else. It is also worth mentioning that the staff in Molly’s cupcakes doesn’t seem to care for the fact that these tours run through their shop. The staff looked bothered, and one of them even asked my girlfriend to move out of a seat at the bar while she was eating her cupcake, so a paying customer could have a seat. Completely rude and unprofessional.

Lots of fun. All six stops were great, and so was Walter as a tour guide.
