Not sure why I’ve never written a review since I’ve been going here for three years. I originally used to love this place. Eggs, pancakes and a choice of a pork side that I always flatly declined all for $ 4. I then progressed to the rotisserie chicken with two sides which is killer. That alone is 5 stars. I usually get mashed potatoes and mac & cheese and it’s soooo good! It’s about $ 8 which isn’t bad at all. Then things started going downhill. I used to walk in and place my order and walk out to drop off my items at my job. They remembered me by face so I thought I was covered but one day when came back to pick up my food he told me he never made my order because I left. He tried to make it for me then and there but I didn’t want it anymore. I left with the intention of not having to wait. I never went back for breakfast again. At this time Thompson opened so I started frequenting there. Every now and again purchasing from Grand but I always had small problems even if I place orders over the phone. So here I am almost a year after not walking into Grand and I decided to get some breakfast from them. Looked on Menupages at all of the things that they carry and decided to get the Florentina Low Calorie Omelette for $ 5.25 with home fries, hashbrowns or Grits & Toast. I called and asked the price and of course it’s more. $ 5.75… f**k it give it to me. Season my eggs, cheese on the grits. She repeated what I said but then told me to wait to check to see if it came with grits. It did, so we repeated what I needed again. Season my eggs, cheese on the grits. «You know it’s an extra charge for cheese??» Yeah I figured. Cool, 15 – 20 minutes. I come in, grab my food and pay. I get to my building and see the omelette on top of my cheeseless grits and 2 pieces of black ass wheat toast. You knew that toast was burnt why would you serve it??? Also thank goodness for that feta cheese because it saved the day with those flavorless ass grits. If there’s no cheese on my grits it’s useless. Grits taste like water. It’s easy to cook them but you have to be a pro to season them. People out here serving some water grits.

Rotisserie chicken. Fresh bread. Gray-haired Cassanovas. These are a few of my fa-vor-ite things, that keep me coming back to the Grand Street Deli. As much as I have champagne dreams(and tastes), I would never roll my eyes at a good turkey and cheese hero(being from BK and all). But the Grand Street Deli has so much more to offer than Boars head or questionable chicken salad, that sits and waits for 2 a.m. socialites/drunkards to eat and run, for all kinds of reasons. It took me a while, but after watching some hipsters order roasted chicken on a roll with mustard and swiss cheese, I finally had my game plan down for lunch here. In this very specific and tasty order, you get the best of everything this place has to offer, with«friendly» service, free of charge. Except for one bout of staleness, the bread has been fresh every other time I’ve had it. The chicken, they break up right in front of you and carefully pick the bones. Talk about treating me right. The counter gentleman hands me my sandwich and sends me away with a declaration of his undying love for me and a spicy wink. Yes, Grand Street Deli, I love you, too.

Great food but I think it would actually kill them to get a sandwich order right.

Initially thought this place was decent, but had a terrible experience recently. Chicken salad tasted like garbage, and the dude making my sandwich flat out refused to add avocado when I asked for it. I offered to pay extra and he still said no… WTF? Would not recommend…

Live right next to this. The guy working the grill makes whatever you want. I had a Portuguese Roll — roll, egg, cheese, bacon, ketchup, salt, pepper… $ 3.88. It’s a great and cheap bite while you romp around SoHo. HOWEVER, the bread spoiled in a week. This was during the hot and muggy summer so that may have had something to do with it, but I would still hope that my bread lasts longer than that. I can only eat so many pb&j sandwiches in a week! Cleanliness still leaves much to be desired for. It’s not your neighborhood morton williams, but it has what you need when you have to be back in five minutes for the game. Therefore, I will be back.

Grand Street is a great delivery spot in SoHo. My office orders in 35 times a day, they will deliver ANYTHING from tylenol to cigarettes or a killer sandwich and fries with a side of M&M’s. I get an egg white omelette almost every morning, and my lunch frequently comes from them, too. I love that they make sugar-free jello. The sandwich guys are awesome, they will do anything you like. Use your imagination for a perfect sandwich and give Grand Street a call! Also, the girl who answers the phone is a dream!
