Not your typical Japanese takeout. Simple, yet so delicious! Delivery is pretty quick and Shawnice is very helpful, and cheerful and you could definitely trust her with recommendations(she’s always steered me the right way)

I ordered for delivery via seamless with an expected wait time of about 30 — 40 minutes. I gave them a call about 30 minutes in of waiting– since I had read some negative comments regarding their delivery. The lady who answered the phone seemed to be super busy, putting me on hold after every sentence. After telling her my name and delivery address, she told me that my order was never placed– a problem that they frequently encounter. She then asked for my name about 2 — 3 times(and me spelling it out each time) more, and continued to say that my order was not in their system, then told me to wait for the delivery guy to call and hung up on me. What the freak? So, do you have my order or not? Should I cancel and place an order with a different restaurant? I called back about 25 minutes later and complained, she then told me that the order was on the way and as an apology, offered 20% off the order. 5 minutes later the delivery guy came with my order. Alright, so I was a little upset about the service/delivery, and the food was slightly cold too. This was odd since my workplace was literally one block away from their restaurant. But their food was delicious. I think it was a good portion relative to the price I had paid, but I am not completely sure if the hassle was worth it. But the food was delicious. Super flavorful(well, it is teriyaki). I got the steak/beef teriyaki box… Ugh, food soo good, delivery such a nightmare, I will average it out and give three stars.

Standard quick-serve food. Had the chicken thigh and white rice combo with the gyoza combo, which came out to a little over $ 10. A good value because you’ll be stuffed. The salad that came on the side was a little limp, but the chicken and rice were both A-Ok! Not amazingly good food, but definitely not bad. The staff is overall friendly too.

This review is for their delivery. It sucks. I order my food an hour before I want it and it still comes late. I’ve been waiting a half an hour since their estimated delivery time. I know it doesn’t take them that long to make the food, when I go in person it’s very fast. But damn, approaching 2 hours for delivery. DONTORDERDELIVERYHERE.

I absolutely love this place! It’s my number 1 lunch spot even for dinner when I work late in office. Delivery was very fast! I love their salmon entrée with salads. Try their cucumber salad! Really refreshing and low calories! I can’t remember how many times I have ordered from this place! All my colleagues love it too lol

I come here for lunch all the time. It’s a great deal, and food is great. Just choose your protein and grain. I usually go with the chicken breast and brown rice. It comes with some fresh greens(salad). Tips: They have a loyalty punch card right by the registers. Make sure you pick one up. You buy 8, and they give you 1 free.(just hand it to the cashier everytime you order)

The food is good, if you don’t mind waiting hours for it to be delivered. I would say that out of every 5 orders, 3 are late or never come… I still keep ordering and hoping that the service will improve. So far, it hasn’t. I would recommend ordering in person only. Their delivery is borderline abusive.

I went in for lunch today after not having Glaze for at least a year or so. From the outside it was a little difficult to tell whether we were at the right place and actually walked by the first time. At around 12:30, there was a short line and my colleague and I were able to order and get our food within a 10 minute window. Once you place the order I think it takes literally one minute for the food to come out. I opted for combo one which includes two proteins of your choice and I went with the chicken thigh and steak. Both were delicious! Perfectly moist and the meat with the sweet teriyaki sauce went really well with sriarcha(which they have plenty of). Highly recommend for lunch. Next time I’d like to try the extra spicy teriyaki sauce.

Was so stoked when Glaze opened further west than their original Lexington Ave location. While it’s small inside, they can still seat up to 6 – 7 groups at a time — and it is much cuter inside than some of your other«whole in the wall» Asian food spots on this block. Friendly and fast team working here, too. And I love their fountain featuring Boylan’s Soda. If you’ve never been before, I’d advise that classic chicken breast on rice is the way to go. And the sesame salad dressing is delish. Don’t forget to pick up a loyalty card so your 8th meal is free! Full disclosure — I tried Seamless delivery from here once where the food arrived an hour late and cold. So I’m not sure I’d go that route again. But for carry out or dine in, this place is the bomb dot com.

Glad that midtown east has a decent lunch spot(quick as well)! I had the teriyaki glazed salmon, brown rice set. Salmon portion was generous, and well cooked. Teriyaki sauce was just enough. Good system to move the lunch crowd too. Will definitely head back.

Although this is a little shop that can easily go unnoticed, it is sure turning out big things. The food is impeccable and for only 9 dollars and change. The staff are amazing and all the ingredients taste very fresh. At first you may be skeptical to try it out but the glaze is amazing. Definitely a go to lunch break spot! P. s come before or after the corporate lunch rush hour.

Was a little skeptical coming here a few months ago as it is go-to spot for fellow co-workers at my job. Pleasantly surprised of how good Glazed was. Had the white rice with Teriyaki chicken with lettuce on the side and I think garlic sauce. Very good meal although the price was a little high. Nonetheless will come here again I guess on a random day when I don’t bring lunch from home to try out what else Glazed has to offer.

I first tried Glaze at their 54th/Lex spot(Brown rice w/chicken thighs). 56th St spot is just as good(Combo #1: thighs + steak). Expect a big line* around office lunch hour(1pm), but they are very efficient. Bring your Chipotle game-face as ordering is the same kinda vibe. Portions are good + filling, price is right, and the staff are fine. If I were to make one criticism, it’s that I found the meat a litttttle on the salty side. Yes, teriyaki is generally salty but even that considered… salty. * Even though seating is relatively limited(maybe about 15), you’d get a seat if you wanted since most of the office crowd is to-go

Delicious and speedy, Glaze Teriyaki Grill redefines«quick lunch food.» I used to be sick of going to the local«mega-deli» — you know the type — with grill station, Mongolian grill, sandwich station, refrigerated sushi, prepared hot foods, salad bar. It gets old day after day. So I walked around and saw Glaze and decided to give it a try. I wasn’t let down. After queueing in an efficient, fast-moving line, I ordered«Soup Nazi» style — quick and knowingly. You can make modifications to any of their set combos which it seemed almost everyone did(e.g. no salad, extra sauce, double meat, salmon and chicken combo, etc). I ran back to my office with my hot teriyaki in hand and devoured it. The rice was the perfect texture, neither too dry nor moist, and they used a Japanese grain which was especially delicious. Since the single portion of meat looked a little small, I opted for a double portion, which was perfect. Gyoza was OK but not something I would order again. Teriyaki chicken was tender and flavorful(I ordered the thigh).

Fast service. The ingredients seem fresh. The spicy glaze is just that, so be prepared. Generous portions, especially for the low price. Will return.

Line moves pretty quickly at this popular midtown lunch spot. The guys working the line are pros, and prep en masse for the lunch rush. I enjoyed my streak. It wasn’t fatty, and I liked the bits that were charred by the grill. The marinades and sauces are full of MSG, but that’s par for the course with teriyaki. The white rice was sushi style, short grain and sticky.

This place offers really high quality food for excellent value. For about $ 10, you get a plate of white or brown rice, quality meat(hanger steak is A+) or veggie entrée, and a small salad. I’d say it’s similar to Chipotle in terms of quantity, style, and value, but since the staff here are so nice I’m bumping what would be a 4 star rating to 5. They were specifically very helpful in describing the platter choices, greeted me with great enthusiasm, and offered the punch card option, which was awesome! The ambiance is also decent for a fast-food joint. This place is great!

I like this restaurant. Coming here the second time is not as amazing as my first but that’s ok. I love the hottest hot sauce they have. Service is fast. Good customer service. Nice seating. Great lunch spot. Is it worth $ 12 hmm I guess for location. But go near Brooklyn college fisherman cove you get amazinggggg jerk chicken for cheaper and more food. Something is labeled best only if you have something else to compare it to. If i compare this place to others, it ain’t the best. But it will do, cause it’s ok on it own.

I think I give this place an extra half star because I love the one in SF so much. Still, the food at Glaze is fantastic. Big helpings of white or brown rice, a little side salad with carrot-ginger dressing, and two nice-to-larger-than-nice-depending-on-the-day servings of salmon. The spicy teriyaki sauce is all it’s cracked up to be, although the addition of four fried dumplings for $ 2 is silly – $.50 per dumpling? Come on. The service is hit or miss. Sometimes these guys are nice and cheery, other times they are distracted and moody. There isn’t a ton of space to sit, but the spaces that are there are nice and clean. And they provide those chopsticks that don’t splinter when you break them.
